Bistro 5 Ratings and Reviews
So I've probably reviewed Bistro 5 before, but wanted to write something more because, we're pretty regular now, 3 times a month is likely, we've brought friends there, we've eaten in every part of the restaurant and, they ALWAYS impress and live up to our hopes! The salad with pickled veggies is cravable! The various tastings they run and allow you to pick favorites are always a delight. Burger night is a favorite (and I don't eat burgers anywhere else!) Just a great story of a hard working team that is led by Renaissance man, Vitorrio!
I've been visiting Bistro 5 for years now and it never fails to impress. This is, however, my first "Burger Night" because, typically, I don't care for burgers but they knocked it out of the park with their burger specials cooked EXACTLY to the temp I asked for (so rare that restaurants do this correctly these days...) and my add-ons were delicious. The waitstaff is great, information, accommodating and always seeking to make sure your experience is great. I would highly recommend this place to foodies and for dates or small group functions!
Bistro 5 is a favorite of ours, but went for "Dine Boston"
Menu and pairings were right one and delicious as usual. Warm beat salad and salmon are always exceptional.
Service was attentive yet not overly friendly.
Great job! We will return
I love coming to Bistro 5 for special occasions. The ambiance is nice and the staff are friendly (but not intrusive). My favorite part, though, is the food. The gnocchi with hen of the woods mushrooms are a favorite. Bistro 5 often offers new dishes with surprising and delicious flavor combinations.
Completely delicious -- the calamari with tomato chutney was truly one of the best I've had. I was a bit disappointed that the (lovely) spaghetti a la chitarra now comes with chunks of octopus instead of whole baby octopus, but if that's the biggest complaint then life is good. We had a fantastic goat cheese cheesecake from the tasting menu -- if you see it, grab it! It's that good.
Absolute fine dining without the hassle of going into Boston. Menu features homemade specialties and is very creative. The food is so flavorful and features local farms and some organic foods as well. Small sharing plates are great before dinner and the dessert selection is amazing. You can enjoy the full menu at the bar which is very nice. The Veal Milanese was the best I ever had and the Chocolate Bombe for dessert was off the charts delicious!! Treat yourself and your dining companions - go!!
We arrived early for our reservation with the intent of having a drink at the bar first. Instead we were seated and told to just take our time with our drinks and ordering. Our waitress was very sweet and patient but still attentive. We were probably there for over two hours (we went for the full tasting menu) and we really enjoyed ourselves. The cocktails were creative and yummy, the beer list local and varied, and the food felt very fresh and original. (And I cannot recommend the duck appetizer enough!).
Bistro 5 was delightful as always. The food is yummy and service is attentive but never hovering. We often go here for special occasions and this was our anniversary. Though I didn't mention this when I made our reservation they know anyway (and no, my husband didn't tell them) and surprised us both with a candle and sparkling wine with our dessert.
Great Mother's Day Brunch. My wife was delighted and the food was fantastic. We've been to Bistro 5 a number of times and food has always been excellent, but this was a particularly great meal. My soft shell crab might be the best I have ever had! Many thanks!
The food and service were incredible. The food is cooked to order and there is no issues in making modifications to the meal. The menu choices are inventive and cooked to perfection. The service was great. We were celebrating a birthday and it was a fantastic experience.
We had a wonderful evening. The food was absolutely delicious, perfect size portions, very high-end ingredients and creative menu. The atmosphere was bistro casual. It was on the pricier side but very appropriate for the menu, we will definitely go back many times and it will be the place I bring out of town guests next time for sure. A total gem.
