So I've probably reviewed Bistro 5 before, but wanted to write something more because, we're pretty regular now, 3 times a month is likely, we've brought friends there, we've eaten in every part of the restaurant and, they ALWAYS impress and live up to our hopes! The salad with pickled veggies is cravable! The various tastings they run and allow you to pick favorites are always a delight. Burger night is a favorite (and I don't eat burgers anywhere else!) Just a great story of a hard working team that is led by Renaissance man, Vitorrio!
Bistro 5 took excellent care of my friend and me as we were celebrating his birthday. The service was superb, the food was fresh and lovingly prepared, and we really enjoyed the cocktails.
Fine dining in a relaxed atmosphere. Knowledgeable and friendly waitstaff. Attentive chef-owner creates limited exquisite seasonal menu.
Our meal was incredible! A wonderful neighborhood gem that we will definitely return to.
We have been meaning to go here for years. Finally made it and it was worth the effort.
Best veal that I have ever had and everything else was very good. Give them a try or keep on supporting this place.
Just fabulous as always. My compliments to the chef/owner. 👍
Absolutely fantastic , as always! Food is phenomenal , service is top notch! Just a great place to come for everything from celebrating a special occasion to a quick burger night.
The food was good but there was some problem in the kitchen that kept our entrees from arriving for an hour after our appetizer. The waitress apologized and gave us a dessert for free. Hopefully just a one-time issue.
I've been visiting Bistro 5 for years now and it never fails to impress. This is, however, my first "Burger Night" because, typically, I don't care for burgers but they knocked it out of the park with their burger specials cooked EXACTLY to the temp I asked for (so rare that restaurants do this correctly these days...) and my add-ons were delicious. The waitstaff is great, information, accommodating and always seeking to make sure your experience is great. I would highly recommend this place to foodies and for dates or small group functions!
Great food and great ambiance. Driven by a bunch and never noticed it, glad it was finally recommended to me. Don't let the neighborhood fool you this is a great spot!
Bistro 5 is a favorite of ours, but went for "Dine Boston"
Menu and pairings were right one and delicious as usual. Warm beat salad and salmon are always exceptional.
Service was attentive yet not overly friendly.
Great job! We will return
I love coming to Bistro 5 for special occasions. The ambiance is nice and the staff are friendly (but not intrusive). My favorite part, though, is the food. The gnocchi with hen of the woods mushrooms are a favorite. Bistro 5 often offers new dishes with surprising and delicious flavor combinations.
Good food, good service, nice atmosphere. Appreciated the bread and dipping oil.
Every bite delicious!!! I recommend this restaurant highly
Peach tasting menu - innovative! Burnt peach dessert was delicious, and no guilt.
Pleasant service, good food, reasonably priced wine list, nice atmosphere.
My girlfriend was visiting and we just found bistro 5 and decided to go. Food was great, service was great, atmosphere was A+
Other than cheeseburger specials that are large that erred fora man could belarger.
Food was outstanding. The flavors were extraordinary.
Service was attentive without being overbearing!
My husband and I have been dining at Bistro5 since it opened. It never disappoints. Our favorites are the calamari and the veal Milanese. Great place to dine in Medford.
Lovely, quiet restaurant with a nice, but short, Italian menu. Did was tasty and we'll prepared. Service was excellent! It was a boy to have no TV. Desserts were especially tasty.
very nice ambiance to have a celebration dinner for a recent college graduate
Food and service were terrific. AC seemed not to be working very well. It was a bit warmer in the room than was comfortable.
Completely delicious -- the calamari with tomato chutney was truly one of the best I've had. I was a bit disappointed that the (lovely) spaghetti a la chitarra now comes with chunks of octopus instead of whole baby octopus, but if that's the biggest complaint then life is good. We had a fantastic goat cheese cheesecake from the tasting menu -- if you see it, grab it! It's that good.
Gnocchi was outstanding probably the best I've had in a while. Great cosmopolitans as well!
Never disappointing. The menu is creative and the food and service always outstanding. It is great to have such a wonderful neighborhood restaurant.
Absolute fine dining without the hassle of going into Boston. Menu features homemade specialties and is very creative. The food is so flavorful and features local farms and some organic foods as well. Small sharing plates are great before dinner and the dessert selection is amazing. You can enjoy the full menu at the bar which is very nice. The Veal Milanese was the best I ever had and the Chocolate Bombe for dessert was off the charts delicious!! Treat yourself and your dining companions - go!!
We arrived early for our reservation with the intent of having a drink at the bar first. Instead we were seated and told to just take our time with our drinks and ordering. Our waitress was very sweet and patient but still attentive. We were probably there for over two hours (we went for the full tasting menu) and we really enjoyed ourselves. The cocktails were creative and yummy, the beer list local and varied, and the food felt very fresh and original. (And I cannot recommend the duck appetizer enough!).
Bistro 5 was delightful as always. The food is yummy and service is attentive but never hovering. We often go here for special occasions and this was our anniversary. Though I didn't mention this when I made our reservation they know anyway (and no, my husband didn't tell them) and surprised us both with a candle and sparkling wine with our dessert.
