From North Station you can take the commuter rail on the Lowell Line outbound one (1) stop to West Medford. We are directly across Playstead Road from the train platform to the right of the bank. It is approximately 11 minutes from North Station.

This was our first time there & it was really terrific! I"m a good cook so it's been hard finding a place where the food it better than moderate... This place was such a delight! The wait staff was welcoming, my martini was super! The bread w/ the dip was lovely.. And our gnocchi & pasta dish was superb! AND the chocolate cake w/ the etcs.. was what you want in a dessert! These chefs KNOW HOW TO COOK!... A real pleasure to taste your food & the time you spend creating it all... Really So Very Special!!! Thank you so much for doing what you do.... My boyfriend and I did the heirloom tomato seasonal tasting menu as well as the wine pairings. The dishes were spectacularly good, super creative, and paced perfectly. All of the wines went beautifully with each course. And the chef came out at the end of the meal to talk to us about our experience. It was a wonderful dinner, and we’ll absolutely be back.

My husband and I always try to visit Bistro 5 whenever Chef Vittorio is making a special menu. We were there for the heirloom tomato dinner. It turns out that we were the first customers to try it, so Chef came out to say he was personally cooking all the courses for us. There were 5 courses, all beautiful and delicious. Chef explained each dish as he presented it and was interested in our feedback. It was interesting for us to find out how each dish was created. The food was amazing and so creative. The caprese was a burrata coated in tomato gel, made to look just like a tomato. Stunning! There was a tomato terrine with scallop crudo that was quite special. We are always impressed by care with which the food is made. We are lucky to have a restaurant of this quality nearby.

Delicious as usual! The veal was really fantastic! This is a local restaurant for us that we can walk to and it feels so luxurious to have such great food in our neighborhood!
