Bistro 2110 - The Blackwell Hotel
The 2110 menu includes a wide array of American, European and Asian cuisine with fresh and local products and unique presentations.
Restaurant guests can also enjoy complimentary valet parking.
Pleasantly surprised for a campus hotel. The food was very good and excellent value. It is now on our radar for future visits. Great place for breakfast. We enjoyed the corned beef hash and crab hash dishes.
Excellent service and delicious food.
Thoroughly enjoyed a wonderful meal in a peaceful setting. Our server Jessica was a sweetheart, we will return.
Dinner as excellent and our waiter, Neal, was extremely attentive but not obtrusive.
In both food and ambience this is best place for business breakfast
no body but us for sunday brunch- still excellent.
everybody was on the ball . overall great decor but wierd black wires and electrical tape were strung around in some kind of jury rigged connection.
We all had the buffet. The food selection was excellent. The only criticism is that the server, although very nice and rather efficient when we she needed to do something, was rather slow at the major points along the way (initial greeting, asking if we were ready for bill) and should have checked in on refreshing our beverages more often.
Lunch was normal ---- Excellent! All four in our party were delighted with the entrees and buffet, and Daniel was an attentive and helpful wait person.
The food was decent for the price and the restaurant wasn’t busy so we could hear each other at our big table well. Service was pretty slow- took about 45 minutes to an hour to get our food. Very traditional style with white table cloths and feels a little dated.
Convenient location on campus. This shrimp tacos were very disappointing. A noisy place for lunch if more than two people.
Salad bar is outstanding
Main courses were not good. Cold and not very good tasting, spices etc
Service was horrible. Had to ask for refills, used plates to be taken away and at one point had to track down another server to find ours.
Overall not sure I will be back.
If you order from the menu the service can be painfully slow.
Food and service are among the best in Central Ohio, and the atmosphere is perfect
Have eaten Sunday brunch here a couple of times. The staff is friendly and very attentive. Will be back again!
We opted to dine here before a concert at the Schott. Waited 10 mins just for water glasses and menus. Very slow service, fairly limited and so so menu. Wine menu had NO prices listed. Can’t say I’ll ever return.
Steak Frites was very good though the plate was overload ed with frites. Risotto was overcooked and certainly not freshly made. Blackened chicken breast was tiny. And when we asked for bread we were told they had none. Seriously?
Our party of 4 was generally pleased with the food, although 2 of us were given food that was overcooked relative to what we had ordered. We didn't return our meals, but did mention it to our server. The table service was consistently very slow. Two of our party ordered a second beverage, and when they hadn't arrived by the time we were ready to pay our bill, we cancelled the order --- only to have the beverages delivered to our table 5 or 10 minutes later as we were departing. In addition, our place settings included bread plates and knives, but we realized late in the meal that at no point were we offered any bread. In summary, the experience was good, but certainly not something with which the restaurant management should be pleased.
Service depends on how busy they are and how focused the servers are on cleaning up their stations or breaking down before their shift ends. If you later in the afternoon for a later lunch expect to wait for your server and have to chase them down to pay out.
Went for convenience after a football game with my OSU student. Then menu looked really good but the game day menu was limited (which I get). My daughter and I had cheeseburgers and they just weren't very good. There was a beer/cocktail menu but no wine list apparently. I think by son liked the salmon and my husband liked the Reuben. The atmosphere was just kind of strange.
This restaurant is a little hidden gem! From the table settings to the food there is detail in the presentation. The staff is wonderful and my compliments to the Chef! What a wonderful experience on a week day evening before a live event or just everyday dining!
Our second visit to the Blackwell. Everything was great, but I would STRONGLY recommend that the rice coquettes be just a little less “fried”. They were so overdone that one could not eat them. Other than that, all was great.
Very reasonably priced for a hotel restaurant. Surprisingly good. We had the risotto and the chicken, and both were very good. The desserts were also good.
Service was poor and food was not worth the price! Won't recommend or go back!
We went for a pre-concert dinner. We had reservations, but still had to wait 30 minutes. I felt bad cause others did not have reservations and were not going to get in. Once we got in there were many empty tables and a limited number of servers. They were only serving a limited dinner menu. I wonder why they don’t do buffet for pre-event meals like they do at lunch. The location can’t be beat for a campus event.
Even with reservations, we did not receive our drinks for one hour, and did not get our food for an hour and a half. The restaurant was basically empty. We were a table of 8. The server was a college kid, running around. Not her fault. The food was delicious. Presentation was excellent. However we didn’t get to enjoy it because we had to leave after an hour and 45 minutes. That should be enough time to get dinner and pay your bill. We definitely weren’t the only ones either. This was a problem across tables.
We had to wait for the table we reserved and then it was very obviously given away to some walk-ins. Then, we waited some more. The waitress never smiled and was generally inept. She forgot who got what, never brought someone's drink, and never apologized for any of it. Just seemed to not care. Food was okay.
Very good food. Two servers on a night with a large crowd for a nearby concert.
Service was great friendly quick informative the place was clean comfortable good look at food was excellent price wonderful food tasting wonderful variety of dishes and wine
Location is great for a pre event meal at The Schott. Unfortunately staff did not seem prepared for the crowd they were expecting , not sure why as I’m sure they have ore event diners frequently.
Service was slow and restaurant only 1/3 full. Just allow for plenty of time. The location and quiet atmosphere outweigh the slower than normal service.
Delivered my GF food as regular so had to be remade, even though I ordered off the GF menu. Server was good and attentive but seemed unsure/new. Food was fairly unflavorful and took quite a long time for my type of order (chili and salad). They said that there were a lot of room service orders at the same time?
For a low-key business lunch or just a quiet place to have a glass of wine and salad, Bistro 2110 is really quite good. With valet parking and a nice dining room, it really should be busier than it is. One word of caution: The servers are OSU students. They haven't really been trained to work in top restaurants, so a little patience will be needed.
Had to go into the kitchen to ask our server for the second time for our check.
Business lunch for 5. We were a bit pressed for time and we told our server. She did not miss a beat. Since was prompt but did not seemed rushed. We all ordered salads and soup. The food was very good.
The food was awful, we ask for chicken but we did not know what was it. The service to slow and we were the only table at 5 pm. My girls ask for the burger and the meat was burn they did not touch it!!! I usually go to eat to every kind of food and restaurant but this one I do not recommend it. I usually eat 3 or 4 times in restaurant and now that we are on vacation we have the Three meals in restaurants. So, believe me about this recommendation.
Our waiter, a young man, tall, thin and with a beard was a wonderful server. Sometimes the service there is uneven but on Wednesday it became clear that Bistro 2110 has taken service in to consideration and hired better servers. I wish that I remembered his name so that I could cite him directly. That said, it was nice.
Business lunch very convenient.
Server took over 10 minutes to greet table. Did not bring bread to our table nor offer. Felt very rushed. Huge dining room but we were seated with guests on both sides of us, created a rather noisy atmosphere. Dessert was a brownie that was rock hard and tasteless. Would not recommend.
My friends and I were very excited to try this place for Eat 614 Restaurant Week. The per fixe menu had good options for everyone in our group. The food we had was great, but the service was horrendous. They never cleared a plate prior to bringing more food out for the next course. My dinner plate was in front of me with food left over and they served me dessert which I had to hold until we could find room on the table to set it down. I had to ask for a box for the dinner food on my plate that was leftover, no one offered me one. I also boxed my food myself. This was a nicer restaurant so that was unexpected but I don't mind boxing it. One of my friends with me had the exact same problem. We clearly needed boxes but none were offered until asked for when we finely asked the nice guy filling our water glasses for one. He was not our server. I can understand if the restaurant is busy but only 8 tables had patrons in a large dinning room. We saw multiple servers, very rarely our own however. My friend was also very disappointed in the drink she ordered. The glass was served half empty and it wasn't the appropriate glass for the drink to start with. We won't be going back.
Overall it was a nice experience. One person in our party received a really tough steak but all of the other food was delicious.
My truffle fries had no truffle, but it was a good meal. Good for a hotel restaurant.
