our dining experience was not good. service was poor. Not enough wait staff for a busy friday evening dinner. Staff was actually running from table to kitten to bar to get food served. Food was not fresh. Salad had been made for al least several hours. Lettuce and other veggies on salad were soggy and tasted stale. Would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
We have been to the Bistro 112 many times and have always had great service and meals! I highly recommend this restaurant.
Excellent food. Professional service. Tasteful venue.
This is our second time at Bistro 112. A few years ago we had unforgettable crepes. We both had Salmon, which I rarely order out because it is always dry. It was very good. Nice wine list. I do wish they had crepes for dinner! But I wish everyone had crepes for dinner, so that's just me! It was a nice, quaint environment. I wouldn't recommend large groups, not a lot of seating and you sit close to others. The service was good. Overall a nice date night for our weekend in Shepardstown!
I was not told that this was a dog friendly restaurant. The table closest to us brought a huge dog and it was raining outside. Needless to say eating French food while looking at the south end of a large dog was not on my agenda. The food and drink while good did not make up for the ambiance. I will not be back.
Pretty restaurant with a comfortable atmosphere. Service was great. The fresh bread was delicious. I ordered the salmon which was a little under seasoned, hubbys shrimp was good. He also enjoyed the scallop appetizer-cheesy goodness with the delicious bread. All in all a nice evening.
What business does a restaurant this good have being in a town this small? What a delight. Great food. Great service. The place oozes warmth. Love it!
The atmosphere at Bistro 112 was warm and welcoming. We opted for the 3-course menu that included a house salad with grapes and walnuts, Steak au poivre with pommes frites and desert. The food was very well prepared and the service attentive. Nice end to our stay in Shepherdstown.
Great food, great service, and charming owner
Usually my experience here has been good but on Valentine's Day, the food was really sub-par. We rarely eat out much anymore and thought we would treat ourselves on Valentine's Day but were really disappointed after having such a positive experience in the past. It also seemed like perhaps they were not prepared for the volume of reservations- the vegetables and sides were really scant and lacking, like the kitchen was trying to ration them out. Overall incredibly disappointing, especially for what we spent.
The wait staff is friendly and informative. Great place for a romantic dinner. Low noise level for a nice evening. Short wine list with many choices and moderately priced. Appetizer-entres and dessert were perfectly prepared.
Excellent French cuisine. Intimate setting in our favorite town.
I am very pleased on how accommodating they are with my son’s food allergies.
Utterly charming and delightful spot with great food.
Nice atmosphere. Our server, Shannon, was excellent. Nice menu and wine list. French bistro feel. Cool art. Cozy.
Cute French-themed restaurant in the heart of Shepherdstown. Good food and drink selection, with a prix-fixe menu option, also. Dining companion and I had the Steak frites and salmon dish and enjoyed both, along with French Onion Soup and a tomato bisque. All delicious. It's on the pricier end for Shepherdstown, but a nicer upscale spot in town.
We try to have dinner out locally at least once a week. Bistro 112 has become our nice place to go in Shepherdstown and we are here maybe once a month. This is a small place and can get bogged down when busy so we work around the edges. Quiet so we can talk and catch up, attentive table service, interesting drink menu and the food is both very good and a reasonable value. We regularly both order drinks and the Prix Fixe option and then just enjoy the natural pace of the dinner. Everything comes out well timed, hot, and delicious, and that makes for a nice evening. The pepper corn steak is consistently good and most recently the roasted half-chicken was exceptional. We're usually seated early with a reservation by 6:30 and it's a wonderfully unhurried recuperative dining experience. Low carb menu adaptations are gracefully workable here on request .. but my advice is not to pass up the spice cake dessert.
My girlfriend and I were in town for New Year's and needed a place to eat that was close and opened late. Bistro 112 was the answer. The prix fixe menu was great. The price was definitely reasonable for the evening and we left the restaurant with our stomachs satisfied. If I am in the area again, I will definitely come back
Great restaurant with amazing food, friendly and helpful staff. Very cozy - like having dinner at a friend's house.
My wife and I had an Anniversary dinner at Bistro 112 on a very cold December night. The staff reception was pleasant and the ambiance was warm and attractive. They offered a very nice prefix dinner as well as an enticing menu so it was easy to choose dishes that we liked. The taste and presentation was very good and service was timed properly. Our desserts of chocolate mousse and caramel topped coffee cake were splendid. We will definitely return in the future.
Steak was cold and the salmon was overcooked. We were disappointed because the meal we had there this past summer was incredible. Maybe it was an off night.
Great food and service in a historic setting in downtown Shepherdstown
Great food and service. We’ll be back!
Food was not prepared as requested. Asked for the steak to be well done and was still rare even after being sent back once . There was a large party going on upstairs and the servers were tending to their requests and were less attentive to the needs of the guests in the main dining area.
We'very been several times to Bistro 112 for a special evening with friends. This was Thanksgiving and the pre fixe offering was terrific. Always a winner!
Chose to have Thanksgiving dinner here rather than cooking. We had never been here before and relied on Open Table reviews. It’s a charming little place. Service was friendly and attentive. They offered a prix fix menu at a good price. The mushroom soup starter was heavenly! We each had the turkey entre which tasted just like home. Stuffing was a tad salty for my taste but the rest of the plate was well seasoned. I had the delicious apple pie and ice cream for dessert. I look forward to eating here again as it was a pretty drive for me to get to and very close to elderly family. I’m hoping next time isn’t a holiday so surrounding businesses are open!
We had a wonderful dinner with visiting family on the night before Thanksgiving. The food was excellent and the service outstanding. Overall the experience was a ten.
Splendid restaurant. Unanticipatedly great food in a very relaxed and comfortable setting. I felt as though I was back in La Belle France.
Thoroughly enjoyed everything at the restaurant. We will definitely be back!
A fine way to spend an evening, dining with great food and wine, ambiance, and great service! Will definitely dine there again when we are back in Shepherdstown, WV.
We had a great experience. We saw online that they were dog friendly. We have a husky and the waitress were more than accommodating and extremely friendly. Had a great experience. Thank you.
Looking forward to my next visit to try other dishes. The duck was delicious. The chocolate mousse perfect. And the warm toffee cake yummy. Early was nice. More quiet then.
Good meal. Prix fix is way to go
Bravo! continues to be a place to relax and enjoy great food and wine. A hidden treasure.
Wine was very well priced! Salad Nicoise was pretty good though the vinaigrette was supposedly lemon wasabi but couldn't taste the wasabi. Mussels good, broth very thick and creamy, unusual but good. Ratatouille delicious but served w an unusually large slab of fried eggplant topped w one small piece of mozzarella which was surprising that they took the time to list the mozzarella on the dish description - it was not a characterizing feature. Pasta bolognese was good w hearty pieces of meat. Cute , small place.
So worth it! If you have the opportunity to get the duck, take it. The set menu also was a great value. Food was excellent, and I'd go back just to relax and listen to the music. :) Overall, great find and delicious, delicious food!
Wonderful - celebrated our wedding anniversary here. Thank you!

One of the best in Shepherdstown. Very pleasant, good feed, attention to details.
I would recommend Bistro 112 to anyone visiting here that appreciates a top end restaurant.
Great spot for meal before a cocert. We ordered the prix fixe meal and it was excellent. The salmon was cooked perfectly, the salad was dressed just right (not gloppy), and the desert was more than ample and delicious.
Great French food affordably priced. Super friendly old world service, great wine, excellent dessert. Just go already!
