Bistro 112 Ratings and Reviews
My girlfriend and I were in town for New Year's and needed a place to eat that was close and opened late. Bistro 112 was the answer. The prix fixe menu was great. The price was definitely reasonable for the evening and we left the restaurant with our stomachs satisfied. If I am in the area again, I will definitely come back
My wife and I had an Anniversary dinner at Bistro 112 on a very cold December night. The staff reception was pleasant and the ambiance was warm and attractive. They offered a very nice prefix dinner as well as an enticing menu so it was easy to choose dishes that we liked. The taste and presentation was very good and service was timed properly. Our desserts of chocolate mousse and caramel topped coffee cake were splendid. We will definitely return in the future.
Food was not prepared as requested. Asked for the steak to be well done and was still rare even after being sent back once . There was a large party going on upstairs and the servers were tending to their requests and were less attentive to the needs of the guests in the main dining area.
Chose to have Thanksgiving dinner here rather than cooking. We had never been here before and relied on Open Table reviews. It’s a charming little place. Service was friendly and attentive. They offered a prix fix menu at a good price. The mushroom soup starter was heavenly! We each had the turkey entre which tasted just like home. Stuffing was a tad salty for my taste but the rest of the plate was well seasoned. I had the delicious apple pie and ice cream for dessert. I look forward to eating here again as it was a pretty drive for me to get to and very close to elderly family. I’m hoping next time isn’t a holiday so surrounding businesses are open!
Wine was very well priced! Salad Nicoise was pretty good though the vinaigrette was supposedly lemon wasabi but couldn't taste the wasabi. Mussels good, broth very thick and creamy, unusual but good. Ratatouille delicious but served w an unusually large slab of fried eggplant topped w one small piece of mozzarella which was surprising that they took the time to list the mozzarella on the dish description - it was not a characterizing feature. Pasta bolognese was good w hearty pieces of meat. Cute , small place.
The bread starts things off on a great note! Highly recommend the muscles! French fries are a super tasty treat! Husband loved the steak au poivre! Finish it off with a nice cappuccino! Highly recommend for a nice meal in Shepherdstown!
Our food was terrible. My green beans clearly came from a can and my mashed potatoes arrived cold. My dining partner's ratatouille existed of vegetables stewed in canned tomato sauce. Both dishes were unpalatable and our cheese plate came with graham crackers. Bistro 112 is an insult to French food and more reminiscent of a college's student first foray into cooking. I do not recommend it for any occasion.
Great service!!! I felt special. Server didn't call us "guys" once!!! She was so pleasant and professional. Wish more quality of service like that existed at most restaurants. Pinot was very nice. Food was great. Had the pasta and zucchini & squash side. Mixed it all together and wow.
Thought about how I wish I had two more days of leftovers. Will return!!!
