Bistecca Ratings and Reviews
I loved our meals, but my boyfriends martini glass was served with a lipstick mark around the rim---had to be sent back----my brother in laws baked potato had to be sent back because it was cold---
When you fill out your reservations, they ask what the occasion is----when I put birthday, I assumed that they would bring out a little cake---even a cupcake----in the future, I'll have to call and ask if we can bring a cake---I saw one being brought to a table, so I think it's allowed, but I don't quite understand why you ask what the occasion is if nothing is done for that person---???
My sister brought birthday candles and asked that they be put on our desert---they forgot, so they put some whipped cream on a plate and put the candles on that---no big deal, but wasn't what my sister asked for---
All in all, it was a wonderful meal, but you asked-----
Have had better!
The cowboy rib eye was tough and although I had some good bites (they were delicious), my overall impression was that I have had many better steaks!
I always order medium rare so I rule out that factor.
Seriously there were some tough exterior and interior portions. Never before have I wrestled my knife to eat a rib eye
We went for a birthday dinner. The food and service were both very good. It was quiet compared to most other restaurants. It was wonderful to have a conversation without shouting. There's a nice amount of space between tables so it seemed more private and comfortable than most places. The manager also visited our table to ask how things were. We had a very enjoyable experience and I'd recommend it.
The table wasn't steady, it was like a playground see saw. The soda was flat, both mine and my friends steak were under cooked. My friend had hers cooked more, only to have it way over cooked when it returned. Waitress asked if she'd like another one, but she had already been waiting a good bit for the re fire, didn't have time for them to try again. Didn't want to be difficult, thought maybe they'd comp us somehow. But nobody, no manager or waitress offered. I mean it was a $43 steak, the rest of her dinner was done and was cold by the time her steak came back over done. (She likes eating her whole meal at the same time, not just one item while waiting for the rest of it to be cooked to her liking) but the bread and apatizer was good, go figure.
It is unfortunate that you have long walk through a Smokey atmosphere to get to the restaurant. Food and service was good, a little more attention from the wait staff would have been nice.
There was a constant booming noise from another part of the surroundings that was disruptive.
It is too bad clientele do not respect the atmosphere of the restaurant as some are wearing sweat pants, t-shirts and hats at the dinner table. This is disappointing for a restaurant with linens and professing to offer fine dining.
I will not be back soon.
Very elegant with great service, food was amazing with every bite. Atmosphere was quiet which I love for great conversation. Nice view of the horse track for those who like to gamble. Would definitely recommend to friends who have significant others for special occasions, like anniversaries, birthdays, or just a night out for the ones who are special and close to heart. It's a place worth the drive either if your a local resident or a out of towner from other states and surrounding areas. Bistecca is a restaurant that I picked to take my beautiful love and wonderful woman who is simply amazing for a special night out on the town to spend time with each other and our love we share together.
I would pick this restaurant over any other one in the area to spend it again with my girlfriend for a Birthday or future anniversaries together. The ambiance of the place is quite quaint and pleasurable with candle lights on each table. The lighting is perfect for reading the menu and lots of room between each table for privacy of parties of more than 4.
If your looking for a place to be spontaneous for your spouse or significant other it's definitely worth the drive to spend it with each other.
I recommend calling ahead of time for reservations for parties greater than 4 to enjoy this quality and awesome food at Bistecca! The choices of eating on the menu is by what you enjoy the most, whether your in the mood for steak, fish, chicken, a salad of choice, drinks for your taste buds, and desserts to sweeten your tooth after a meal of what you choose to enjoy. My girlfriend and I had the blackened scallops with a steak of choice with asparagus, it was cooked perfect cut like butter and the taste was absolutely delicious. Our drinks were so good and perfectly made for each other. Once again the service was just amazing and even offered to take a few photos of my girlfriend and I sitting by the window facing the racetrack. I loved the restaurant from the moment I stepped in.
Ive been burned on casino Restaurants several times but Im always up for giving them another shot. This was no exception to that. Burned again. The steak was cooked very well but had no flavor. The cook apparently forgot that salt and pepper is a vital component to a well cooked steak, especially a $52 steak. The appetizers were good especially the raw oysters, its always a crap shoot ordering raw oysters so far from the coast but these were really good.
Overall I will give them another chance because of the apps and good wine selection but for a steak house to not prepare a good steak is pretty disappointing.
Enjoyed the spinach salad and the 10oz filet. The salad was really good, but the star of the show was the filet. One of the most tender and flavorful I have ever had. Easily on par with Morton's and Capital Grille. Service was easily accelerates as I was on a tight timetable.
Amazing as always! We wish we didn't live an hour away so we could come more often. The food is exceptional, and the service is always great. The staff did a particularly good job this evening dealing with a problematic table nearby. Thanks for always providing a lovely date night out!
We always have a great experience at Bistecca. The food is always amazing, they have a large wine and drink list and the staff is so friendly. Our server did such a great job. We've had the pleasure of having her before and she is so personable, knows the menu well and takes great care of her customers! We will definitely be back.
My husband and I chose Bistecca to celebrate a birthday. The meals were good. We both tried the lobster bisque and it was very good. I ordered the spinach salad which was wonderful, but my husband ordered the wedge salad and some of the lettuce was "rusty". For our meals, I ordered the salmon and it was very good. The topping had a little too much garlic for me, but was good. My husband ordered his steak medium and it came out as medium rare; however, he said that it was good, but could have been cooked a little bit more. The wine and dessert were also wonderful. If I had to make 1 complaint, it would be needing to walk through the smoky casino to reach the restaurant and to walk out into the hall to use the restroom. It also was smoky. The restaurant was not smoky and was clean. The staff was friendly as well.
Looking for an incredible steak dinner...this is the place!! The food was perfection and so was the wine. Rebecca, our server was second to none and was awesome at helping us pair wines and sides. Hands down the best steak we have had in the Pittsburgh area.
Bistecca steak house at the meadows casino is an interesting restaurant as it acts like a 5 star especially price wise but doesn't quite deliver where it counts. We started with the crab bisque which was the highlight of the meal. Rich and creamy with tons of crabmeat it was a delight to eat but a few dollars overpriced. We also tried the oysters bistecca which was 4 medium sized oysters on the half shell covered in cheese and seasoned breadcrumbs. It arrived lukewarm with the cheese already cooled and tasteless not bubbling hot as it should have been. When the waitress asked how they were I said disappointing and that they seemed to have been pre-prepared then placed under the broiler to reheat. The waitress got very defensive and argued that she had watched them made fresh in front of her and were not pre-made at all. If this was true she must have let them sit around for awhile before bringing them to the table but I guess she wasn't going to admit that. Her defensive reaction was totally inappropriate and put a definite damper on the meal for us. I didn't pursue the issue and she apparently didn't tell anyone about my complaint as the maitre d didnt inquire about it and the were not taken off the bill. My dining partner ordered the filet oscar which came out rare but had been ordered medium and my peppercorn crusted strip came out medium instead of rare that had been ordered. Both steaks were of high quality and still tasted great even if prepared wrong. The mixed drinks were fine but I thought 16 dollars for a margarita was a bit pricey even when upgraded with patron silver for the tequila. The dessert menu looked enticing but we knew we were already at the 200 dollar mark for the so-so meal and declined. I would suggest dining at the Palazzo Restaurant right around the corner for an over-priced meal that at least try's harder to deliver on service and flavor.
It was our 36th wedding anniversary dinner!
when we arrived the power was out and were assured that when it came back on --we would be served--the staff and management crew were very concerned and when they found out it was a special occasion they did all in their power to serve us---we finally got seated and the dinner (cooked by alternate means) and service was excellent-- 3 cheers for Bistecca and the staff!!---thanks
Service was very good! Manager on duty was very active which was refreshing to see as well. Atmosphere was very nice and everyone seemed to be happy around us as well. Portions were very generous and taste was excellent! The only knock I would have is that my wife and I both ordered our steaks medium, and we're both med rare, taste was still good but would have rather the steaks been medium.
