Food & service were excellent. Live music is nice, but should be more subdued for such a classy dinner house. No vocals; just background music, so diners can converse easily.
Victor is a wonderful server, very attentive. They have a great wine list & really good seafood options, great taste combinations! The soufflé is excellent for dessert. We always enjoy the live music too.
Not happy with the valet service - they drove my car too fast and kept me waiting while they chatted with another customer knowing I was waiting ...
Just a consistent great spot. Awesome salad. Excellent swordfish, and terrific soufflé
My friend and I were celebrating our birthdays. We both had steak which was tender and delicious. We finished with chocolate soufflé, which was devine. Our server was friendly and attentive. Good place to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy a wonderful meal.
Maeda the waiter did an awesome job! The food and the service was spectacular!
Enjoyed our experience at Bistango last Fri. Night. We were celebrating a 65th birthday and the staff of so accommodating of our requests. The food was excellent, entertainment outstanding and staff gets 10 gold stars. We will definitely be back. Ray was a great host as always.
Great service delish food and cool artsy vibe.
Service and food were amazing! We went for a birthday celebration and they surprised us with a lovely dessert! I would highly recommend going to the Bistango for lunch or dinner !
My first time there. We sat at the bar and had a glass of wine. Bartender was very friendly and nice. Then we sat at a table and John was our server. He was great, friendly and made great recommendations Can’t wait to go back
Wonderful atmosphere, great service and all around impressive experience.
Had art reception across the streer
Terrific dining with incredible atmosphere. One of the more unique restaurants in Irvine/Newport Beach area.
Great choice for most occasions, you can be assure that you will continually find the same type of satisfaction no
Matter what occasion or time of the year.
Staff was very accommodating regarding our seating. I liked the smaller portion part of the menu. Valet parking a plus.
Three of us were celebrating a birthday. Our waiter took good care of us and we able to eat, talk and relax without feeling any pressure to leave
Five of us were seated and then ignored. Bread was served all around us but not to our table. We could not get the attention of anyone. Manager made the rounds but not to our table. Portions small. Not impressed at all.
The food here was such a treat. They add a fun spin to a lot of classics (highly recommend trying the clam chowder if you can). Everything was cooked well, and presented in a way that made you excited to eat your meal. Even their bread and butter was to die for! The filet mignon was delicious and the scallops an absolute delight.
Formerly enjoyed Bistango tremendously but they blew it badly on Valentine's. They made us (and others) wait an hour past our reservation time, wedged into a corner of the lobby. After a couple of "five more minutes" we told the hostess we were leaving and were miraculously provided a table (there were about three more empty ones nearby) in a side room, not on the main floor. Someone stopped by and blamed OpenTable for "opening up an extra 100 spots." When I told her I'd spoken with her staff the day before who didn't mention any problems the reply was "I hope the food makes up for it" and she was gone in a blink. The food _was_ excellent as always but the service was perfunctory and rushed and the faux pas at the front was a disaster. Everyone has a bad night and I would've appreciated and accepted an attempt at an apology or a bit off the bill or something but none was ever offered. A really unfortunate evening all around and not worth the price (which I've paid happily on previous occasions).
Like Bistango's and the atmosphere and food. But will avoid going there in Valentine's day next year. It felt rushed and was no more romantic than any other night there.
Valentines dinner. Ran out of two of the appetizers. Overbooked. Blamed open table for being overbooked
Valentine’s Day Celebration my waitress was unbelievable she was awesome we shared conversation about Chicago and I will be coming back to visit this place
We were in town for a seminar and wanted a great steak and nice quite evening out. There steak was amazing and the service was great!
The tuna was flavorful, the wine list disappointed the part of me that prefers wine not made in the US because many of the wines offered are from the US. Great musical atmosphere once the music begins... then ensues dancing of all sorts. I recommend dining at Bistango at least once.
Service was awesome but the crab cakes wasn’t like I remembered need to work on that swordfish awesome sea bass good need more flavor octopus awesome lam-shank looked good wine awesome music awesome
I took my girlfriend for dinner. I have never been there before, but my date had mentioned it to me. So I googled it and made reservations for Saturday night. The service was impeccable, and the food was delicious. We also danced to the live music. And topped it off with a marvelous dessert.
Delicious food, excellent service and a wonderful setting for a nice dinner.
We always enjoy Bistango, and this time was no exception. Excellent food and great service!
Bistango consistently has great service and food. They never let you down
We dine here frequently and never are disappointed. This time around we had the garlic soup, the beet salad and for entrees the lamb and the pork chop. Dessert is always the chocolate souffle. Our server Noah seemed new and insisted that the Ora King Salmon was wild -- it is not. Ora King Salmon is farmed.
Our first time at Bistango. We came for our birthday dinners - my husband I have birthdays just 2 days apart on the recommendation of Le Grande Barr who entertains on Friday nights. Food was great and service excellent. Music by Le Grande was fantastic.
Bistango is one of our favorite restaurants. The service is always excellent & food is consistently good. The bar atmosphere is lively & we always enjoy the live music.
This always elegant restaurant strikes the right balance of outstanding service and excellent food. I recommend Bistango for a lovely night out. You won't be disappointed
Great place especially if you enjoy art. Always something new to look at.
Food, Service and Access are always dependable and first class.
Excellent service and great food! Bartender makes great drinks and hostess was fabulous!!
Excellent service. Food was incredible and nicely presented. Ambience was top-notch. Mainly appreciated the quiet with gentle live piano music in the background. Great place for a special romantic dinner.
Salmon salad was delicious! Very positive experience. We'll definitely go again.
Perfect atmosphere for art, dining and dancing. And there are few if not any that can compare. Amazed how one accomplished entertainer could go fr Sinatra to Bruno Mars with ease and proper song styling. The food experience was consistent and rivaled expectation. The Staff was civil, alert and very hospitable, Quite the discerning destination should one want to have a quality Saturday night outing. First rate, top notch and adroit place to be.
The restaurant was very nice. It is a higher end restaurant but the food was very good. We would go again if we are ever in the area. They also had a musician playing the piano adjacent to the bar. People were dancing and it was quite nice.
