Really delicious food, attentive service and best of all, every dish can be made gluten free if desired. My celiac daughter was in heaven. Us and non-celiacs were happy to have our own delicious options. GF flatbread and chocolate lava cakes were exceptional. So, so good.

Bistango was really great. We enjoyed our meal there a lot. Our server was really knowledgeable about ingredients and preparation which was very helpful because two people in our party have food allergies. The food was fresh and beautiful and we will definitely go back.

This place was a real find for us. Nice and quiet - and delicious. Three people with very different taste all found a dish that they enjoyed immensely. Best eggplant Parmesan ever and really nice servers.

Met a friend for brunch in early August. Apparently the air conditioning was not working and made for an uncomfortable experience. The staff did get in working at the very end, but wish we were seated in a better spot where there was at least some air circulation. The food was good and bellinis

We had a great lunch at Bistango. We were there early, at 11:30 and it was nice and quiet but then started filling up about 30-45 minutes later. The food was great. The service was amazing--my child has a food allergy and they were wonderful with managing what we could order to ensure he avoided the allergens. We had a flatbread, amazingly good and the soup of the day. Also the lasagna and the burger--all of us were super-happy and will go back next time in NYC.

I recent became allergic to soy and have been gluten intolerant for years. It’s been super hard to eat out with my new soy allergy and this place not only took me seriously, but they announced each plate to be GF SF. I could have cried I was so happy with the food and service. We’ve been ordering from seamless for a while, but first eat in experience and we will be back. Actually probably today with a friend! TY for being allergy friendly. I wish more places were as sensitive and accommodating.

My daughter has Celiac's. I do not. Plenty of options for both. Delicious food. Impeccable service. They go out of their way to accommodate. At this point, we have tried almost all items on the menu, and have never been let down. Recommend for anyone who wants a delicious meal and great service

With so many options in the city, we are glad we chose Bistango. The service and food were top notch! The only concern was the volume of the voices of fellow diners. Made it impossible to carry on a conversation between 6 people. Not exaggerating! I would suggest adding area rugs or table linens to absorb some sounds. For the size of the space it was shocking. Such a quaint place!

I rarely eat out because of serious food allergies. I felt very comfortable at Bistango. They clearly understood food allergies and the potential dangers of getting an order wrong. They took things very seriously and made me feel safe. In addition, our server, Milan (I believe that was his name) was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. The food was outstanding. I'm quite picky and the Bolognese was the best I've ever had!

Had dinner at Bistango with 2 colleagues. The service was quite good, unobtrusive, and the decor of the restaurant was pleasant and cheerful.

The food was average at best. Penne Pomodoro was Ok. I couldn’t taste the lobster in my over cooked raviolis that were swimming in a greasy oil and butter sauce.

The berry tart was quite good.

I had high hopes, but was disappointed, and don’t know that I’ll return.

Food was good, not great. Service was poor - waiter thought he was being funny but it was awkward. He starting off by joking with my party that we were late for our reservation, which we were not, I pulled up the app and confirmed. Then at the end of the meal, he joked with my mother that she could have dessert because she didn't finish her vegetables. All in all, jokes were in poor taste and not necessary. I wouldn't return or recommend based on this level of service.

I always have a delicious meal while entertaining clients here but lately the service has been even better with Alina there. The beet salad is amazing. This is the perfect goto for business lunches. I will probably regret saying that since it will be more difficulty and to get a reservation now! :)

After eating @ their East 29th St. location, we decided to try Bistango @ the Kimberly Hotel. We loved this place - the food was great, the service was great. Menu says: "Glass of red or white wine $7 or Peroni $5 with prix fixe lunch." How perfect!!
Beware, when the bill comes, expect to pay $13 per glass after the first one.
We feel this menu should be clarified to read "one glass of red or white wine $7 with the prix fixe lunch per person" (or something similar).
Apparently this has happened before, because when we questioned the waitress , the manager instantly appeared. Manager's explanation is that after the first glass, she considers it "unlimited drinking." Just to clarify, we aren't big drinkers, nor were we weren't planning to make a day out of this. The manager took the extra cost off our bill. To us, this is a bit of subterfuge on their part. They're hoping people don't pay attention to their bill or don't understand it (think tourists). Unfortunately, our lovely afternoon was dampened by this and as much as we enjoyed our lunch at Bistango, we wont be returning.

Open table has this restaurant mismarked. they need to fix it. it is NOT located on the roof and does not have a view. dont be fooled by this. there is a restaurant downstairs and it does have outdoor seating on a filthy street, but for some reason it is not affiliated with the roof restaurant, which is what we made the reservation for. We ended up eating inside at the hotel bar and had a decent meal. It wasnt what we wanted on a 90 degree day in June in NYC tho.

Beautiful building with a neo-classical style, and a giant aquarium in the lobby. The food was very good, we ordered the octopus which was tender and tasty, and the penne and cavatelli -a little too al dente-but the delicious sausage and kale accompanying and a kick of spice made up for it. Everything we ordered was Gluten-free- extra bonus points because they can make anything on the menu GF- and the bread and hummus was complimentary and delicious. The coffee was just the right balance of bold and smooth. Good job!
