My friends and I always have a holiday dinner together, and this is where we decided to go this year. One of my friends cannot have gluten, so we’ve found this as the perfect dinner spot. It was decorated beautifully for Christmas and the food is great. Any of it can be prepared gluten free without an up-charge. It’s a little noisy but overall a wonderful dinner spot.

Out with children for holiday. Have eaten at Bistangos in lower Manhattan. This experience was on par with previous experience. Waitstaff and services polite and welcoming. Food delicious and staff on top of meeting any dietary needs. We had a wonder time. Will be back! Thanks 👍

Second visit for business lunch. Food is excellent, as is atmosphere. A little tight for the seating and noise level loud, but still very enjoyable.

My girlfriend cannot eat gluten, but I can. I took her there hoping I would get a few dishes gluten-free and tasty. I was happily mistaken. Almost everything was gluten-free and the taste was superb. Recommended for all, gluten-free and non-gluten-free.

Loud but that was mainly due to one particular group of patrons. Seating was close but not too tight. Wine selection was limited but good quality. My appetizer (prawns) was bland but my wife’s salad was good. The rest of our food was exceptional.

THE best!!!! Gluten free options galore! Delicious and thoughtful menu, it was hard to decide what to order! I had the wild mushroom and truffle flatbread pizza, the gorgeous autumn salad, and the heavenly carrot cake for dessert, accompanied by a beautiful bottle of Pinot noir. And guess what!?! It was All Gluten free, including the warm basket of bread brought to the table!!! A true delight, and a wonderful evening! Excellent service too!!! We will be back!

Overall my wife and I had a great time. We had reservations, but the place was very busy. We were seated in a corner where we couldn't see the rest of the restaurant and the three young girls next to us we're somewhat loud. With that being said the young girls were nice and fun. Our waiter was great. I would mention his name if I could spell it. He was very attentive, friendly, and of course professional. The food was outstanding. I had the octopus appetizer , which was cooked perfectly. My wife had the beer salad which she thoroughly enjoyed. We both had the squid ink pasta with lobster. Again, awesome ! Definitely give this restaurant a try.

We arrived in NYC late in the afternoon and needed to find a quiet place to grab a bite and get some sleep. I looked for a restaurant within walking distance with gluten-free options and was delighted to have found one so close and so yummy!

Simple, favorable food with a good wine list - recommendation made by the waiter was spot on! I would certainly try this place if you are looking for a quiet place to recharge from travel.

Flavor on the grilled baby octopus was amazing. Black squid ink spaghetti was also tasty. Though I had a reservation, they seated me at the bar instead of a table. The service at the bar, however, was terrific.

Stopped here this past Sunday for a quick lunch not sure of what to expect as several people in our party have food allergies, including gluten and dairy. What a wonderful experience! Waiter could not have been nicer, was well versed in the menu options. Brought out warm gluten free french bread slices with olive oil and hummus for dipping (extremely rare treat for us), explained how basically everything on the menu could be prepared gluten free, with separate water for boiling pasta, etc. so no cross contamination worries. Eliminated dairy as well with ease. Food was excellent. In an unexpected twist we were given a full dessert menu all of which was gluten free, most being dairy free as well. It was incredible for a group with food allergies to enjoy such a wonderful meal together. Will definitely be back!

Great celiac-friendly restaurant conveniently located in East-side midtown. Great appetizers and main dishes. Not the cheapest option, but not unreasonable, and - despite the closeness of the tables (welcome to NY!), the space feels intimate with lower lighting and nice touches like the aquarium at the entrance to the hotel. Recommend! :)

Definitely a disappointment in terms of food and service. We were seated and offered water, and it took over 10 minutes for our server to return and bring any! Food was only OK, and service was slow throughout the meal. I had low expectations given the setting (hotel dining in midtown), and the restaurant didn’t even meet those. Will not be returning.

Nice decor, excellent service and red snapper was the best fish I’ve ever had in a restaurant. Some mean blood orange margaritas, really good. But, it would be nice if cocktails or a glass of wine were $10-$12 not around $15. That being said, I will be back and I will have margarita again.

With a menu completely convertible to gluten-free options, Bistango relieves the tension those of us with gluten-free friends and family confront every time we go out to eat. Bistango delivers big time on not just the quantity of options, but the quality. Our party on a recent visit was served delicious house made soup, crisp and creative salad, scrumptious flatbread pizza, and pasta perfectly al dente, as well as well paired wine and sophisticated cocktails. Bistango will become a go-to restaurant for us in mid-town.
