Although the noise level was quite loud at the bar, the restaurant side was much quieter. My date had the pulled pork sandwich and I had the brisket sandwich. Both were excellent in quality! Corn bread was good, but seemed slightly stale. The Cole slaw was a bit too soggy. Service was friendly and efficient. We will definitely come back again soon.
Typically the food is really good but tonight the Bison tips were over cooked and didn't have much flavor. Service was ok.
Consistently fantastic BBQ and sides! Fun atmosphere and friendly service.
Best BBQ restaurant I've been to in many years...and I LOVE BBQ. Food is just delicious. Wait staff is so friendly. Great atmosphere. Very authentic fun place to go. All our dinner guests agreed it is their new favorite restaurant.
Very good food and great bartender, she created a drink for us!
Some of the best BBQ I have had! Everyone LOVED their meals! The burnt ends were delicious and the pulled pork and pulled chicken were fantastic. Fun but quiet atmosphere so great for being able to enjoy conversation at dinner! Highly recommend!
Recently moved to Boston area from Texas and really appreciate Texas and Southern BBQ. The menu had unique twists on different regional BBQ . The burnt ends were exceptional. Like eating meat candy.
Amazing food!!!! Love the RIBS!!! Went there for my birthday and had a great time!!
Excellent food. Great atmosphere. Attentive staff.
Great food selection, especially if you like bison. Good selection of craft beers. Friendly environment.
Service was friendly although it was packed with customers.. we did wait a bit for food, but it was good. So its a casual place to hang out have some bbq brisket and fried pickles!!
This is our go-to place when we just want good bar-b-que, salads, and a drink. Fun appetizers too. This is great comfort food and relaxing, casual atmosphere.
Picked this place for my boyfriend's 30th birthday dinner since he loves BBQ and westerns. He loved it! The food was amazing, came out quick, great service, and nice ambience. I was only surprised that it wasn't busier than it was! The sirloin burger was out of this world. Would definitely go back.
They were out of everything. What BBQ place runs out of ribs?! Friends ordered a beer. They gave her half of glass because it was the bottom of the keg. Never asked her if she would like any thing else.
Severely understaffed despite restaurant being 1/4 full. Soda was flat, they could not fix. Wrong beer was served. 2 appetizers were ordered. Took 50 minutes. Only one came. Meal came hour after ordered. Waitress exasperated. Beer selection very limited. This used to be our favorite place for a burger and beer but last few visits the place has been empty. Won't go back after this past Sunday experience.
We had brisket and BBQ ribs. Both were good and tasty. Service was also excellent. Fries were great. Worth to visit.
The food was great, as usual, with some new seasonal specials. Always a great beer list. Trivia Night was a lot of fun
Was left waiting at the door for 5/6 minutes without anyone coming over to help. Food was so-so but used to be fantastic. I like this place but it seems to have gone down hill a little since last time I was there (2-3 years)
Large menu plus daily specials make this somewhere for everyone. Best known for BBQ, ribs and burgers in generous portions and a selection of sides to round out the meal make it a good choice for lunch or dinner. Sports bar atmosphere but if you sit in back when there's no game, it's quiet enough to talk. A neighborhood gen!
This was by far the worst bbq I have ever had. The service was good. The facilities (restrooms) had evidence of "critters". I ordered the pulled chicken and pork platter with mac and cheese and beans. Both meats were not fit for human consumption. The mac and cheese and the beans came right out of the microwave - after coming out of the can.
I very seldom ever review a restaurant, but you've now been warned. I would not wish this on my worst enemy.
Great food (and lots of it!) in a boisterous, casual place with awesome service. Mac and cheese and cornbread were especially tasty.
Food was pretty good. Service was inconsistent but OK. Bathroom was filthy.
Love Bison County - always have good food, big portions and nice staff!
Good food and good beer selection. Service was quick, but not hovering.
Went in for a casual diner w husband. Very pleasant staff and prompt service. Most of the food was very good. Brisket and ribs were tender and smokey. Only downside was the mac and cheese side dish. Such and easy thing to make but the only flavor was gummy raw flour. Hope it was just that one batch. We will try again sometime.
Had hi hopes for good BBQ. The ribs were none descript. Nothing special. Decent vinegar base. The brisket was tough, gray, no smoke ring and no bark. The BBQ beans were very good and the garlic mashed potatoes were also good.
I do not think I will return.
Disappointed in the fatty slow cooker brisket. I love BBQ and felt that the meat should not have been served. The wait person did not even asked how we liked our dishes. Caesar salad was ok but could have been better with anchovies.
This was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had in a very long time. We ordered the South Carolina wings and they were served at room temperature, well the skin was at least warm. Would not order these again, unless they were freshly made. Our other dishes did not get better, the baby back ribs were burnt and dry, my wife ordered the Chicken & Brisket combo. The brisket was covered in BBQ sauce, not doubt to hide how dry it was. I would say the only dish we were happy with was the catfish bites, however, it’s not enough to rescue my experience & thoughts on the restaurant.
We enjoyed the food. Had a seat by the grill and watched the food preparation. I had the Wagon Train, but after watching the grill, I really wanted the ribs.
We had a party of eight, and they were able to accommodate us with a resvervation. I always enjoy the food here. Casual atmosphere. Good corn bread.
The food was good. Waitstaff quite attentive and nice. Margaritas was very yummy. I would go back.
The atmosphere is good for midweek night out
Bison County is always good and reliable... never too loud and servers know what they're doing. Food is hearty and prices are reasonable. Beer options are extensive. Just a safe choice for dining out.
Good barbecue. Staff was knowledgeable about gluten free options, which was basically everything not breaded. Unfortunately uses a common fryer so fries and chips are not celiac-safe. Good beer list, more than one GF beer, which is nice. We went at 6 on Thursday, and there was no one else in the dining room, plenty of people in the bar.
Food was delicious! I recommend the fried pickles!
Ribs were burnt and inedible other items were ok but this is a barbecue restaurant
Food was fine, place was fine, but I was hoping for more.
Went for family dinner with kids. Good place for burgers and other meat options. Service was disorganized; had 3 people address different requests in one hour. Either they do team work for zones or our designated waiter was unavailable when needed. Grilled meat overpriced a little; sodas not refillable? Kid sodas same price as adults?
Bison County is the best place to get incredible BBQ around. Having been a patron for nearly 7 years, I can honestly say that every experience at BC has been great. They know how to do meat right! The service is always kind, the side dishes are delicious, and the ambiance is fun. It's on my top 5 places to eat in all of Boston. It's guaranteed satisfaction!
