I had high hopes for this place because the patio area is awesome. However it took 25 minutes to get 2 cocktails, and they tasted like cough syrup. Food had very little flavor and someone needs to teach the staff how to make risotto. It was so thick you could have used it as plaster. Definitely not worth the price. Our server David was awesome though.

These days you have to exercise patience. Covid had drained the workforce and it’s sad. The servers and cooks are doing the best they can. It’s saddening when you’re use to excellent service and excellent food at particular places and it turns into just ok.

Fabulous night on the most beautiful patio in St Louis! Had the Blackened Grouper which was cooked and presented perfectly and the Sat night special Prime Rib which too was cooked perfectly! The service was great always nice and friendly!

Ambiance was great. Patio was beautiful Service was great. Food was so-so. I expect better food preparation for the price. Steaks are too expensive to not enjoy. Management did attempt to make it right, but the problems in the kitchen are still problems. Hope they figure it out because overall it was a nice place and the people cared.

Beautiful upscale atmosphere with amazing patio! We ordered steak Oscar style and it was completely average. Very bland with very little taste. Disappointed in the food since it was an expensive dinner. Drinks were good and Caesar salad was great! Service was average- server didn’t do anything special. Willing to try again.

This trip to Bishop's Post was a spur of the moment on a beautiful Sunday afternoon. We didn't want a full meal, so we enjoyed the Spinach Artichoke Dip and salads. Everything was delicious! Sam took great care of us as always! We enjoyed the patio very much as it is beautiful.

My husband and I ate in the patio and the waterfall and flowers were beautiful!! The wine and salmon and blackened grouper were delicious and our waitress was great and efficient without being obtrusive! We love Bishop’s Post! Especially on the outdoor patio!!

The outdoor seating is unmatched. Ordered a Turkey burger that was $16. It was small and definitely from a frozen patty. Disappointing. I tasted other’s food and everything could use flavor. Lack of seasoning.

We had a great time at Bishops Post. We had a reservation and were seated as good as we got there. I was greeted with a birthday card at our table. Our server was attentive but not too attentive. Our food was absolutely delicious. Every one in our party of four was very impressed by the quality of our food, its presentation, and quantity. We will come back here again soon. Note: we tried dropping in a couple times and learned that even for a mid-afternoon on a weekday, one needs to make a reservation! It was well worth the effort.

Bishops post is one of my favorites on nice weather days- you can’t beat their patio, and the food is always reliable. The dining room atmosphere needs a big update. It’s not inviting at all.

Amazing atmosphere on the patio with the beautiful plantings and waterfall. The food was good, not excellent, and not in line with the upscale prices. The bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer were tasty but overcooked, tough, and overpriced at $6 each. The accompanying sweet chili glaze was right on. The calamari was tender and delicious. Next, the caprese salad had perfectly ripe, large slices of heirloom tomatoes but the stated beets and microgreens were missing. Also, it was served with a very small amount of burrata cheese. Our entrées also missed the mark. My husband's veal was overcooked, so on the chewy side. My black and bleu pasta was nicely flavored, however, the beef tip was cut into small, dry pieces served on top of the pasta. Glad to say we were happy with the caramel chocolate cheesecake and bread pudding desserts! We were disappointed the waterfall, trees and flowers had very little lighting after sunset. Several years ago, it was spectacularly lit up with spotlights! We will most likely give this restaurant another try since the setting is so unique.
