We did not mention that it was our 50 th Anniversary. Yet we were treated so well we felt the occasion was superb!
Family birthday celebration
We were celebrating my husbands birthday which was noted on the reservation. We had the Caesar salad which was very good, the garlic chicken which was moist, flavorful with crisp skin. The green beans were ok but hardly blanched and even too uncooked for my husbands taste who prefers crunchy veggies. However, the mashed potatoes were bland and watered down, not worth the calories. All in all it was a nice meal with excellent service. Our server directed me to a Chardonnay that was too die for. Happening place in old Bellevue.
Consistently first rate ingredients, recipes, timing, atmosphere and service. I appreciate the easy parking, which is a huge plus for a business lunch.
We arranged for a business meal and casual dinner with our spouses at Bis on Main and the food was exceptional with great quality, quantity and presentation. The atmosphere is pleasing with good natural lighting and sufficient space between tables. Overall, the dinner was an excellent experience and we look forward to returning.
I very much appreciated the staff. They were charming, informative and professional.
This is the best restaurant in Bellevue. Great food beautifully presented. I love that they always have a fresh fish special and a vegan special in addition to the fine menu and good wine list.
Anthony our waiter was fantastic. All his recommendations for wine and desert where great.
We were a little disappointed in the crispy chicken as it was a bit dry but everything else was fantastic.
Classic menu expertly done. We had black cod and NY steak, both of which we cook at home, but it was different and just something special. How do they get that perfect delicate crispness on the black cod? Cocktails and wines were also classic but just better. Service excellent. I think the ambiance is uninspiring, but comfortable for a relaxed get together.
My wife and I are active seniors, and Bis on Main was recommended by close friends as a great location for special occasion dining, so we gave it a try. Our main criteria included great food, a quiet place with good ambiance, and good, unobtrusive service. We were advised to ask for seating in the back room, which is their quiet area, and that proved to be very good advice, because the bar and lounge area is fairly boisterous.
We both enjoyed the evening very much. It's not inexpensive, but we felt it was worth the price for us, and we'll definitely go back there in the future.
Loved the experience, however a baby was seated next to our table. We were hoping for a romantic dinner and the child crying and fussing was a bit distracting!
I go to Bis almost once a month for a romantic date with my wife. The food and staff are amazing, especially Kristen and her amazing stockings!!
Server seemed to rush us
We are regulars at the Bis bar. My favorite place to meet friends because you can hear, they have a good bar menu (not full of fried foods), good wine by the glass and cocktails. I like the ambience of the bar, as well. Rarely eat in the dining room, and will typically leave if the bar is full because it is our favorite spot! The staff in the bar is super friendly and on top of things.
As usual, the food was fabulous and a treat to join friends from California for lunch. Our waiter was delightful!
Excellent food. Top notch wine. Perfect dinner out. Thank you
Great food - highly recommend the Cassoulet and the salmon! Wonderful and friendly staff! Great wine list too.
Everything is excellent. There food and service is consistently the best around.
Bis never disappoints. It's a great place for a business lunch or romantic dinner.
Great date night with my wife. We don’t get an opportunity to get out much. Was good food and service with a good crowd around us
Service good. Had better dinners in the past.
Food was fine and service OK but the ambiance/feeling didn’t seem very welcoming.
Once again, the staff at Bis on Main knocked it out of the park. I entertained out of town visitors and they were all pleased with the meal, service and value.
I have never been disappointed in my meals or service. It is my go to for business entertaining, as well as personal events.
Can’t get enough of that Crispy Garlic Chicken!
Consistently great food and service with valet parking.
The owner is usually there, the ambiance is warm, and the food is interesting and well-prepared.
Food was superb from start to finish. Excellent service and great Manhattan from the bar.
Consistently good. The owner, Joe, is there every day and involved in every aspect of the restaurant. Family favorite!
After being out of town for several months, we were excited to dine at one of our favorite restaurants. As always, the service and
The service was fantastic, the food was amazing, and the experiece was worth going for.
Great food welcoming atmosphere great service
Great as always! Bis is my go to place. Joe and team are the best.
Good as always. Service spectacular
Good food! Who knew that Bellevue has a quaint downtown area.
Early Valentines Day ... food was excellent - we had veal chops and bolognese .. great food n service ... will be back sion ...
Bis strikes just the right balance between fine dining (white table cloths, mature servers) and relaxing night out (tables in bar, informal setup) and the food is good as well.
Highly recommended! The scallops were incredibly good! Sweet, tender, and large!
The veal chop is gigantic! Cooked absolutely perfectly, and all but melted in the mouth!
The Foie gras was extraordinarily buttery and was incredibly good.
It’s not cheap, but if you’re looking for somewhere to get a special meal with that special someone, I’m not sure that I’ve ever been anywhere better.
We had a friends' get together for lunch. The food and service were both excellent! My only complaint was the noise level...very hard to carry on a conversation.
Surprisingly loud for a restaurant that positions itself for an intimate, high touch, valet parking, $60 steak kind of place. The noise level was so bad it was hard to have a conversation. We had to stop, pause, ask why we were yelling at each other. It’s like a bar. Not a recommendation for a quiet evening.
Additionally, my business colleague was still eating her meal, and we had - I counted - 4 different people ask a total of 6 times if they could clear her plate. Every time she said no, she wasn’t finished. These were spaced out 2-3 minutes apart, and there was obviously no coordination. It was funny at first, but then we thought they just wanted to move us out of our table after the 65 minutes we’d been there.
Food was excellent. Drinks were good.
Valet lost their matching tickets or had some kind of match problem. Took our tickets, came back with other customer’s keys to ask if they were ours. Started clicking unlock buttons on cars to see what cars lit up, to ask if that was our car. Finally asked us to go out and point out our 2 cars. Very odd. Nice guy, having a bad night - sure it probably wasn’t his fault. But, again, $60 steak place shouldn’t have this kind of experience.
