The Dining Room - Molly Pitcher Inn
Friday & Saturday: 12noon - 11pm
We went for an afternoon drink and an appetizer. Service was initially good but went south fast. Had the feeling that they were trying to rush us out. Appetizer was a bar pizza which was too salty to eat. They never inquired to see how we liked it. Drinks were expensive and were stingy on the volume. The appetizer was mediocre at best and very expensive. They never asked us if we wanted any thing else to eat. We were interested in trying a home made pasta dish, but they cleared the place settings without a word. It seem that the goal with this place is to get you in and out as fast as possible. It is obvious that this is a tourist trap. We gave it a shot, but because of it's mediocre food , poor service and ridiculous NYC prices, we will probably not visit again.
I always always always enjoy my meal here. I also love making my reservations through open table. We had the calamari which was great w that Spicy remoulade on the side, pizza, and a Caesar salad
It was incredibly loud in the restaurant which made it difficult to hear each other and even the waitress. The food was just okay not phenomenal which made the price unreasonable
I applaud Victor for his attention to detail. Very well done! From his wine selection, bread baskets, lighting fixtures and menu selections. I don’t mind paying a little extra for the experience. Much appreciated!
We enjoyed our time at Birravino. We loved the beer and wine that we got, and the food was delicious. Our only slight complaint was that it was very dark at our table, but otherwise we loved the atmosphere!
Pizza Melanzane is wonderful.
Made an 8:15 reservation and was not seated until 9:00. This should never happen. Food was good.
The restaurant is a great spot. The bar staff is wonderful and the food is delicious. My favorite part is the easy parking.
Quality all around as usual.
Locals. Food is OK if you don’t want to cook
This was a pre-theater dinner and service started out rather slow, which was worrisome (I allowed just over 90 minutes and we made the show but had to skip dessert). The food, though, was very good - a recommended beet salad was a great appetizer, since the other salads were too large for one. Old-school spaghetti and meatball was tasty - the house-made pasta was toothsome and carried the tomato sauce (with roasted garlic) well; the meatball was light and flavorful. My partner's sole francese with risotto was also a hit. The restaurant's own beer was a good accompaniment to the meal and sets Birravino apart from the usual Italian eateries.
Always consistent great food.!!! And service !!! That’s all that matters
Simply "one stop shop" ! Other places in RB can have good food but no fun vibe,or not great service, others can be fun but food is not so great.... Birravino has it all-great food, great service, fun atmosphere ,has its own parking.....and is still open when you come out of a play from Two River Theatre!
Great food always!
Food and drinks are a bit expensive for my liking but the food is terrific. Lighting too dim to see menus and noise level can get high. Obviously terrific restaurant despite my minor complaints, we continue to go back!
The desserts are amazing! Pasta was delish.
Our flight was late but they were able to seat us right away!! Thanks so much.
Great beer, fresh, home made food, Marie is absolutely the best waitress anywhere!!!
Second time in 3 weeks . Now one of our favorites. Ambiance and staff are excellent. Great wines and a good selection of bourbon and whiskeys. Thoroughly enjoy dining here.
The food was great but the portions are very small for the amount that you charge.
The menu seemed limited but when you added the specials there was a great variety of choice. The food was outstanding. Some really interesting dishes. We shared three appetizers and one was better than the other. The grilled octopus appetizer was a unique dish and different from anything I ever had. The short ribs another special didn't even require a knife it was so tender. Dessert did not disappoint.
Over all it was a wonderful experience and can't wait to go back and try the other dishes offered. Large selection of beer and wine list is moderately priced.
Great meal for a good value, great service , just a wonderful experience.
My husband and I had reservations and arrived an hour early. The hostess said she would try and seat us sooner. Found two seats at the bar and noticed others eating dinner, since we were hungry we cancelled our table and the bartender took great care of us. We shared the mushroom pizza which was perfection and the short rib dinner special. The meat was so tender and the meal was overall incredible.
One of our favorite go- to spots. Food is consistently great - we brought along some born and bred Italians who rave about the meatballs! The restaurant is always packed but I have never had to wait for my reserved table and the food always arrives hot and on time. It never disappoints!
Great food. Great value. Terrible noise level in dining room...hard to carry on a conversation across a small table.
Pizza was delicious! So were the Brussel Proust and my Short Rib dinner. Fried Calamari was less than desirable. Service was fast but not overly friendly at all.
Ordered martini - first one all water , they remade it and they made it dirty, third time they remade was barely passable. Food was fair but value was poor. $32.00 for chicken scarperelli , a small piece of chicken , one sausage and a small piece of potato and some broccoli rabe is over-priced. I’ve ordered chicken scarperelli at many restaurants - price has been beteeen $17.00 and $23.00. While waitstaff tried to be accommodating which I appreciated the experience was disappointing and the price of the entree was too high.
Ray, our server, stood out as excellent in an overall very good evening.
People an ambiance is nice but it isnt much more than an overpriced Pizzeria.
a meatball appetizer than consisted of two meatballs, a pizza to share and one drink each and the bill is $70 just a bad value. The food was ok but the drinks were way overpriced and were not very good.
We got there early for our reservation and checked in. They said they would sit out party when a table became available. 1 hour later we asked if a table would be ready and they said we didn’t check in so we would have to wait. This really was poor service. There were tables available so we were upset. They eventually sat us and gave us a terribly situated table. The waiter was pleasant and responsive. They food selection and specials sounded wonderful but when the food came out, it was cold. I wanted to like this place because it has a good vibe but it fell short.
It’s a big restaurant with tables very close together. The noise level was deafening to the point where I wanted to plug my ears. Couldn’t hear the waitress telling us specials and of course couldn’t have a decent conversation. Food was mediocre and pricey. The pizza was doughy. The only good part was the beer. Not good enough to go back to.
The host was awful. We arrived half hour early and I thought I would check in and let them know we’d be at bar. He did not even look up from computer to acknowledge me, just nodded his head. So Reservation Time came and when I gave name he told me there was no reservation? I told him I got a phone call earlier in day confirming, I even showed him the phone number on my phone. Then he tried to blame open table and gave some line of bs. So as we waited another couple came in and guess what, he told her no reservation in computer! We were finally seated after 40 more minutes. Lobby is freezing, ever time door opens you get hit with blast of cold air. I understand things happen but this host wa lying and had no customer service skills at all. I found him rude and lacking any type of caring about his patrons. The food isjust ok. Nothing spectacular. The host ruined our whole experience and we would never go back.
The food was excellent. Will definitely go back again!
We went on a Friday night during lent. Food was excellent! Wish they had a few meatless options for lent.
Love love love the Chicken Scarpiello....to die for!
A great choice for a birthday or a fun special occasion, the menu is pretty vast and includes some vegetarian options, which is great. Never got something I didn't enjoy here, the dessert is especially delicious, so leave room! The beer they brew themselves is also fantastic, but they also have a stellar wine list.
Food was fantastic as usual. Ray was our server...and he was awesome. Great attention to detail and quick with our requests. We will be back on Saturday for more. Love this place!
Great service, food and wine ... can't find a bad thing to say about Birravina! Wonderful night!
We loved this place. The service and the food was outstanding. Our favorite was the pear salad. It was unique and delicious. It was a little more than we would like to pay for lunch but overall it was worth it and we can't wait to come back.
This is my go to place. Great Italian food and wine. If I am a regular, does that tell you how I feel about their food?
Always a good place for good food and a quick bite.
It was Saturday night, so it was loud and raucous, but the food was excellent as usual, as was the beer. The meatballs are fantastic.
