Aimed at bringing street food to life, the Bird & The Bottle in Santa Rosa, CA is the end result of a pair of award-winning restaurateurs looking to blend a surprising array of flavors. Asian, American South, East Coast, Jewish and other cuisines have been combined to create an unforgettable menu.

The menu at Bird & The Bottle features cocktails and an extensive wine list, and foods range from nibbles to larger plates. Everything has been chosen to pair well, and options include seafood favorites, poultry classics like matzo ball soup but also Korean BBQ chicken. There is a vegetarian menu with everything from fried cheese curds to smoked beets, but there are also pork and beef choices in abundance. A visit to Bird & The Bottle has to finish up with a dessert, and the "goo goo pie in another jar" is a must try.

What a great experience and ambiance. The delectable aromas from the kitchen smack you across the face right as you walk in. We enjoyed a couple of the “drinking vinegar” cocktails which were both new to us. Always good to broaden culinary horizons. For dinner, we had the chicken sliders (dish come with two sliders which is not enough for a full meal, so order another side), the thrice fried potatoes, and the pork belly. All were amazing. Highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who happens to be in Santa Rosa!

Took my Son and his Girlfriend for his Birthday. They were out of the Botanicals Gin I ordered for my Martini. They were out of Little Gems for the salad. We were seated in the third floor dining area and it was freezing cold. Things warmed up when the seated a party of six VERY loud women. I asked about a Birthday Dessert and was told I had to order one off of the menu which I thought very chintzy since I was spending close to $200 for dinner and drinks. The food was very good and I love the Starks' and am a regular at Willi's in Healdsburg but I will have to rethink dining here again.

Server Aaron was very helpful and externally knowledgeable about the whole menu and different preparations and seasonings. I started with the tomato and watermelon salad which was fresh and delicious. One of the party had a way of meatballs want to me flavors. And I had fried chicken. Service is great very good but not over done. Water service was nice out of bottles they left on the table so you can drink as much as you like. Every time I’m here it is very well run machine. I’ll be back.

Excellent food! Highly recommend the Mac & cheese and the Dungeness crab hush puppies. Service was perfect - attentive and helpful but not obsequious. Gold star dinner!

Great creative tapas and bar food, at a reasonable price. The front room by the bar is a nice spot to have a more quiet bite, facing the deck. The back room where the dining room is, is rather noisy, more for parties.

We went for the Happy Hour and had $2 tacos which were tasty and better than good value for the money. I had a glass of wine and my companion had an unusual cocktail which tasted good. Friendly staff.

Friendly service, beautiful interiors and lovely patio. The food was shared amongst 4 of us for lunch and it was delicious and fresh. Loved the unique offerings! We highly recommend.

The food was excellent, except for the salt level. This may have been the saltiest food we've ever eaten! The noise level is quite high. I guess that makes it a happening place, but hard to carry on a conversation. We won't be going back because of the salt and noise, but if you don't mind either, it is quite good!

Excellent food. Good service. Upstairs is quite secluded from the rest of the restaurant. Never seen a BOH fee before but understand it is not unusual. Just another way to squeeze an extra few cents out of everyone. Would still recommend as food was outstanding.

The level of service was great and the food was absolutely delicious. The quality of the food is just ridiculous. They have a good selection of beer, wine and cocktails. Dishes are a little on the smaller side -which our waitress informed us about after asking if we had ever been there before, so kudos- so you may want to order a little more than what you regularly would tend to. Will definitely be going again.

First time here. And now it's at the top of my list.

Modest menu of small plates, all sharable...but they are not too small. Our server suggested two plates per person, but we couldn't eat it all and had to take some home.

The pastrami tacos were spectacular. (The only resemblance to a taco was the tortilla one held.) The flavors and textures blended excellently. BBQ octopus was the tenderest I've ever had. And the whole fried fish (branzini) was cooked perfectly. After these three winners, the lamb meatballs were only "good."

Service was excellent.

You can tell the patrons love this place. Couples on both sides of us were quick to offer enthusiastic menu suggestions.

Not over-priced, either.

This was our first trip to Bird and a Bottle and we loved it. The food was unique with a lot of Asian influences. The matzo ball soup was to die for. We also had a couple of the salads, the pastrami tacos, the sliders, and some other stuff, I can't even remember. It was all delicious. We were stuffed. We had the strawberries as dessert, and they were yummy. The service was great and we will be back to try some of the other dishes.

We were seated upstairs. Yay, so much quieter. Tried fried cheese curds for first time. Oh wow, delicious. Had our two favorites: chicken fried oysters and little gem salad. Also tried the chicken liver mousse. Everything was delicious. Servers were comfortably attentive, not overly so like at some places. Loved every minute of the dinner at which we were celebrating our 58th anniversary!

Each item was slightly off.
First we got the mixed green bowl. It was overly buttery and the rice cake completely over cooked.

Next we got the chicken sliders it was all breading no chicken

Finally we got the smoked pork
Belly and the pieces we got were entirely fat with no meat whatsoever. I love pork belly but this was the worst pork belly pieces I’ve ever been served. The polenta was good, that it was served with.

After this many fails we decided to
Skip dessert.

So I took a party of 4 to dine on a Sunday night. We went a little early as to miss any crowds. We are all seasoned cooks and chefs. The four of us ordered 12 items plus cocktails. We went in with good appetite but all of us are a little jaded, being exposed to food all the time. Well, we had a great time. The cocktails were creative and well balanced, a rarity in my opinion, though I think they were marginally better a couple of months back.
The restaurant does small plates and while not everyone’s cup of tea, I think as a trend, it’s the way a lot of people eat now. The food had good variety and was well presented. Stand outs, were the salmon wings, the pork belly and the daily special, which was a pair of soft shell crab sliders, though over all the food was very good, as was the service.
The cost, while not inexpensive, was affordable. I think that a couple, ordering a couple of cocktails and 3-4 dishes could get out of there for 50-60$.
Being in the business, I don’t generally do many reviews, one, because I don’t like to pick apart someone else’s work and two, looking at food critically is not conducive to the enjoyment of it. I wish more people would realize this.
So yes, I would recommend this restaurant. We had a wonderful experience and felt it was good value for what we spent.

We really enjoyed the food here. We ordered one dish from each section of the menu and everything was delicious! I ordered one of their signature cocktails, but didn’t care for it. The waitress was great and promptly brought me something else.
The only thing that was a negative for us (and others may love this) was it’s very much a hipster place. We’re only 43 but my husband and I felt pretty out of place. Willi’s is probably a better fit for us, but this a another great Stark restaurant!

This was our second time dining here with family. The food is fantastic. The pork belly dish was by far the standout dish. Fried chicken and Korean chicken were equally delicious. Service started a little slow but, all in all, was a great meal with friendly staff. The "pitcher" of sangria was a bit ridiculous in terms of portion size for the price but we love this place. Great food!

Some of the dishes are Asian inspired . We had the Korean steak and eggs. The steak was tender and it paired well with Veges and kimchi to cut the richness of the dish. French press coffee was also really good.
