   We used Open Table to find a restaurant that was serving breakfast later in the morning on Thanksgiving day. Birch River Grill popped up. When we arrived the restaurant was just closing down breakfast and moving to dinner .... the change made no difference to the service we received. Our outstanding service even included refilling drinks continually. The food itself was wonderful. And we couldn't believe just how reasonable the cost was for that quality of the food, service, and ambiance. Open Table's recommendation was trustworthy and once again we appreciated the Open Table site.

   I ate two meals at the Birch River Grill: dinner and lunch The spare ribs, squash and asparagus were a wonderful autumnal meal. I enjoyed the seared Ahi tuna sandwich for lunch. Both meals were well prepared and plated, there was ample food for the price. The bar and wait staff were attentive and professional. I recommend the restaurant.

   What a nice restaurant! We got there early on a Saturday so we had the place to ourselves. Ambience was great, waitstaff attentive, and food ok. My burger was somewhat over cooked but everyone else loved their meal.

   The food was great. The service was great as well. The prices were reasonable. Finally, it was quiet. Just right to have good conversations.

   It was a Mother’s brunch that was very mediocre and ridiculously priced for the quality of food.

   Took my mother-in-law there for Mothers day dinner Saturday 5/12/18. The place was not crowded. She said the Rueben sandwich was not that great. My husband ordered a flat iron steak for $25.00 and ordered it medium well. It cam WELL done. He sent it back & basically had to eat alone because by the time his food came me & my mother-in-law were just about done eating. My salmon was very good however my husband & mother in law were not please. They said they would never go back.

   I was very disappointed in this place. The ambience was horrible and the service was even worse. Only one server taking care of half of the restaurant. Lastly, when we received the check they added a $50 service charge/tip for a party of 7. This was supposed to be an Easter Brunch for $39.95 per person. Surprised when the check totaled $361. Please note we ordered no alcohol only 2 ice teas, coffee and water.

   Birch River Grill – An American Kitchen was a pleasant surprise. I saw its Easter Brunch listed in the Daily Herald and we decided to try it for Saturday dinner. The food was excellent. My Wife and I both had the apple flavored French onion soup. It was very good with the apple making the sweeter than normal. I has a flank steak with mashed potatoes and green beans. It very good. My Wife had a salmon which she liked very much. The price was reasonable. We each had a drink, soup and an entree and the price prior to tip was $80. Available entrees included short ribs and barbecue ribs. It was not very crowed. It is attached to a Hilton Garden Inn. I hope more people go there so it can stay open. It is a very nice restaurant.

   Food was absolutely delicious. The restaurant was not crowded at all. Large party going on in the other room. Server was very nice & helpful. We will probably come back for Mother's Day brunch even though we do not live that close.

    Birch River Grill was excellent! We were so impressed with the food that we've already been back! The staff was courteous and kind to all of us, even my kids. They even went so far as to split the dessert for us so it was easier to share. We highly recommend and will be back!
