   I've been to the bar above Birch and Barley, ChurchKey, a few times before because I like the extensive beer selection. However, ChurchKey doesn't take reservations and is SLAMMED on weekends. So, here's a pro-tip: Reserve a table at Birch and Barley and get a guaranteed spot with the same ChurchKey menu while avoiding the congestion upstairs. I can't comment on the food because I just went for drinks with a friend. In my opinion, the alcohol selection is the real draw , so I don't know if I'd actually come back for the food. I think that's enough of a reason for someone to check this place out. That, and you get the more mature Logan Circle crowd, which I greatly prefer to the rowdy, still-in-college-mode kids over at places like 18th Street and Adams Morgan.

   The beer menu is outstanding, 18 draft choices plus dozens of bottled brands. The food is also very good.

   Birch and Barley was a really enjoyable dinner for our crew. They had a "pre theater special" which included an appetizer/salad, entrée and dessert for $40. Sign me up! The beet salad was SO good. I would eat it again and again. Pass on the cacio and pepe - just not the pure, delicious pasta dish I was hoping for. Desserts were very good as well. But the MAIN thing you should enjoy is the beer - they have a huge beer list and all of the options we tried were very good. Enjoy!

   Super speedy seating, with a cozy spot in the back towards the kitchen. The beer list is extensive, as is the cocktail and wine menu. Delicious food -- the lamb chops were the star of the evening!

   Hadn't been here for a few years, and remembered why we always wanted to come back. Great service, wonderful food, and a wealth of beers to choose from that i'd never think to try on my own.

    Our waiter was amazing. Very helpful and showed a great deal of patience as we worked through our beer choices. The food was creative and very well prepared. Outstanding dining experience! We will continue to come back on our annual DC trips!
