B&B is a favorite of mine, and has been quieter when I have been in the past, but the noise level was a big high this most current meal for what our group was looking for, and I had a bit of trouble hearing my table. There were also very few non-meat dishes available. Both the fishes had meat, as one was made with veal and the other with pancetta. However, they accommodated our restrictions by letting us order one of the tasting menu dishes a la carte, which was wonderful and quite considerate of them. And that dish (a squash risotto) was rather spectacular! Also the homemade biscuits we got to start were also excellent. All in all-great food and lots of great beer options, but a bit of a noisy environment.

Dined here for the first time on Sunday evening with two friends, drinks were on point and with over 500 beer selections you are bound to find something to your liking, great liquor menu too if that's more your style. Charcuterie board for an appetizer was delicious, we went with the cote de boeuf as the table entree and was disappointed with it, no way was there 35 oz of meat served, the portion was quite small and quite fatty. The broccoli rabe was overcooked. The potatoes were the best thing on the platter! Overall, I would come back for drinks and appetizers, but would not have dinner here.

Service was very courteous, polite, patient, and well informed about the food and drink menu, which is sayin a lot given there are hundreds of beers available here. The tap list was outstanding and the menu helped digest the options by organizing beers by type and even further by taste, giving the reader a captivating glimpse at what they were about to order.

The food was perfect. I had chicken, date had pasta. Chicken was moist, cooked perfectly, and the pasta was rich but well balanced.

The layout caught me by surprise. Walking in, the lower seating area has great ambiance for the evening. There’s a separate upper tiered seating area adjacent to the kitchen. Tables are well spaced and you don’t feel like you’re on top of your neighbors. In this upper area, you’re able to see the excitement in the kitchen, but the light coming from here breaks into the dining space and, for me, this distinguished the vibe in the upper tier seating area from that on the lower, main floor. My date had a background working in the dining industry and he enjoyed seeing everything in action. To each their own. No harm done and it was a unique experience, if anything.

We are looking forward to circling back to Birch and Bailey for another evening together. In the meantime, I will highly recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

Not great, not bad. Top 3 beer selection in town. They serve "Old Fashioneds" on the menu, which is a big thing in the Midwest. It was mostly just hard liquor and an ice cube. The drink was OK but it wasn't an Old Fashioned, nor was it very good. The pasta was good, not great. Salad was good, not great. Everything was just fine and OK, and a little bit overpriced for the quality and space. The space itself is OK. This is the best OK bar in town.

High quality beer selection and ambience but that’s where it stops. Food was mediocre at best but service was solid. Would go back for a beer or a charcuterie board.

Robyn was a pleasure to have during my dining experience. The food! Two words: Prime rib! Also the Testa Tots are a must. Both were too scrumptious. So much so, that I didn't want dessert! This is from a person who lives for baked goods and treats! NEVER has a main course been so fabulous that I did not desire the finishing touch of dessert. I have found my new favorite spot in DC.

Visited as this restaurant was rated quite well. We were seated immediately and our server was over with menu and suggestions quickly. We enjoyed the beer selection which was quite good and fairly expansive. We both order an appetizer which ver quite good. Portions of dinner were just right. The place was quite buys and seating is close to others. That makes the noise level a bit higher than I like. Overall a very good experience and service was outstanding.
