   Havent been here for a while and it was even better than i remember. Everything was delicious and perfect. Great curated music, friendly professional staff, excellent service, and very good food. Had a wonderful and memorable time.

   The food was good. The ambience great. The staff friendly and helpful. The beer selection out of this world. Highly recommend. Best tip: pick your food and then ask for a beer to accompany each course.

   My husband and I are huge fans of Birch and Barley. We were so happy to see they have reopened after almost 3 years! We had a great experience as we had in the past l. Great food, great service, great beers.

   We ate pretty much the entire entree menu. The lobster was delicious, the cod was delicious, the salmon mediocre, the short ribs bland and overpriced for the flavor. The burger was fine. Mushroom toast was incredible, tuna tartare ok. Cheese board fabulous. Apple galette was good. It is a noisy space and when the windows are open, one gets wafts of whatever is being smoked outside.

    We were so excited that Birch and Barley finally reopened! We learned early the Chef was new, basically everyone was new. This is not the same restaurant, do not expect the same quality and experience.

    The food and cocktails were wonderful. Very generous portions. The service was a bit hit and miss the waitress didn’t seem to know how to wait table but she was very nice. And the owners were present and very sweet. They just reopened so I’m sure they’ll work the kinks out. Definitely well worth going to.

    The restaurant is stunning and the food is equally as great. Not many options on 14th Street compare, especially not for a relaxed dining night out with a small group of friends. Great drink menu and every bit of the food was great. The fries and malt vinegar dipping sauce was unparalleled. The manager was great and ensured everything was up to par. The waiter was a bit inexperienced and flustered, but everything else made up for that. Highly recommended!

    The beer list continues to be not only diverse but also impressive. The draft list includes some hard-to-find beers in DC. Service was still a little slow but friendly and attentive. The grilled octopus was tender and very flavorful.

    Fixed price brunch, 3 courses for $25 is an excellent value. We loved the food - caesar salad and deviled eggs very good, pork belly hash and chicken with waffles excellent. The restaurant is a bit noisy, hard to hear conversations sometimes.

    I used to like this restaurant right around the time it was opened. I went back after many years for brunch and I have to say I was not impressed. Between us, we tried the chicken and waffles which were ok, the hash, and the shakshuka and we were not impressed with any of the dishes. The bloody mary was really good.

    Birch and Barley has to be one of the best restaurants in DC. Their beer selection, combined with some of the most imaginative and delicious food combinations, make every visit a joy. My only complaint is that the lighting is far too low to read an 8 point typeface menu.

    Have been here a few times and also been wow’d by good and service. Last evening service was sub par. Forgot the bring out dinner(long wait), didn’t know hoe to work French press...when coffee had grounds in it told us “that happens sometimes”

    Birch and Barley continues to deliver wonderful meals year after year. The reason I continue going back is due to their exceptional service which compliments their delightful meals. I always get the chef's tasting menu with the beer pairing and it never fails to amaze me.

    Had a friend in town and wanted to check out this place. The service was great. The menu was a bit limited for someone gluten free, dairy free and soy free. I typically get fruit when I brunch, but unfortunately they didn’t have any fruit. I wish there were more veg and fruit options for people on dietary restrictions. Overall it was a fun vibe and brunch drinks were great!! I’ll check them out again for dinner and maybe there will be more options I can eat. :)

    Poor table right next to the door, hit with cold drafts constantly. Kept my winter coat on the entire time. Very loud, almost like it was a nightclub. Hard to hear the people right across the table from me

    Went for restaurant week! Had the best service. They accommodating all 10 of us. Food came out quickly, and waiter made good suggestions. The cookies for dessert with milk are AMAZING!!! Highly recommend the chicken and waffles for brunch. All over wonderful experience.

    I went here for restaurant week and the food was okay, the aesthetic was nice, the service was great. I think that it's a great place to try. I think their things on their regular menu were better because we did order some stuff from there too. The food wasn't bad at all, ive just had better, especially during restaurant week. Also I just had a glass of wine but my friend had a cocktail and she said that they weren't good at all. my wine was good though! I think that they have a great menu, a wide variety of selections, they are known for their beer so if you like beer this is the place to be! hope this helps!

    The food was amazing! My friend and I went for restaurant week and the three-course menu was divine. Everything is seasoned so well, nothing was bland! This is my second time going to Birch and Barley in the span of a week and the customer service has remained consistent which is a plus. It's slowly becoming one of my favorite places to dine in DC. The only con was that the cocktail prices are a little ridiculous for how little they give you, but I can look over that since the food was terrific.
