About Binkley's Kitchen & Bar
From 1928 until the early 70s, the corner of Kessler and College was home to Binkley's Drug Store, which served the booming Broad Ripple, Forest Hills and Meridian Kessler neighborhoods. Scores of youngsters got their first fountain drink, milkshake, banana split and, yes, cough medicine at Binkley's. Years later, many of those same youngsters stopped in to buy their first baby formula, fifth anniversary card and seventh pair of Foster Grants. Now Binkley's returns to serve these same neighbors as a restaurant, bar, and meeting place. As did our namesake, we plan to have something for everyone, offering a full menu of home made appetizers, salads, pizza, sandwiches and entrées, and a huge variety of drink options. We're dedicated to once again making this little corner of the world an important part of your social life. We hope you enjoy what we've done to reclaim this building.

Binkley's Kitchen & Bar Ratings and Reviews
The service was friendly, knowledgeable, and efficient. We were a party of 7 that did not arrive at the same time but we were never ignored and never felt rushed as other members arrived. There was a nice fire in the dining area. Our dirty dishes were promptly removed as needed. Awesome experience.
We were sadly disappointed with our breakfast at Binkley's on Sunday, November 12th at 11:30 AM. My coffee was cold, the orange juice was not fresh, my daughter's biscuit and gravy was served cold and the food was was not tasty. The restaurant was even cold. The hostess seated us next to the fireplace and turned it on so the ambiance was nice once it warmed up.
So loud! That was the worst.
Asked for mojioto, don't carry mint, not a big deal.
While we sat and chatted a server, not ours, came by and began gathering up drink glasses. Glasses were not empty!!. It was just going on 10p on a Saturday, guess that was our hint to leave!!!
Food wasn't bad, but nothing memorable.
We've been exploring restaurant options in Indianapolis, near Butler University. Binkley's had a great American menu. The food was very good - better than we expected. The tilapia, salmon, and filet were all delicious. Wine portions were generous. Pricing was reasonable. A bit noisy in the main dining area due to hard surfaces. Servers were overworked on the day we visited, but maintained their professionalism and friendliness.
Waited almost 10 minutes for someone to come to the table. Rarely spoke to the server, who walked by four times before realizing and stopping to refill drinks. It wasn't busy. There were at least two other servers on the dining room side, serving a total of maybe 6 tables in the restaurant. Ordered a special that was inedible. Chicken was rubbery and tasted like it had been frozen several times. Nothing was taken off the bill. Will not be dining there again.
Easter Brunch. Overpriced for the food. It appeared that the desserts were frozen. Some were even put out in a frozen state.
The service was poor. Clean plates were not provided when returning to the buffet tables. Would not return for a buffet in the future.
We have always enjoyed ourselves when visiting Binkley's. This was our first bad experience.
Overall poor service. Forgot to bring all ordered sides to the table and did not notice. Server did apologize at the end of the experience once we asked to not be charged for the side that was not delivered. The server might have been able to resolve the situation earlier if she had followed up once the food had been received at our table.
Though parking can be an issue, I was able to get a spot in the lot. Friends were able to get parking close and on the street. Found a lovely new wine - sparkling Pinot Noir that was really quite tasty (4 glasses were enjoyed at my table so we probably should have just bought a bottle!). I had the fish tacos (grilled) and the spice level was just right. I also splurged and got the fries. One guest had the shrimp salad and one a burger. Love the location and we are making plans to hit a $5.00 martini night and sit outside once Indiana discovers spring! (Or will come back for money off bottles of wine and have another sparkling Pinot Noir!)
Our party of five needed to move the table to avoid a spotlight on one our party. We asked the staff to adjust the spotlight but they indicated that a ladder would be required. There were several tables available that would accommodate our party but the staff did not offer to move us so we moved our own table. Food and service was average.
