Delicious food and an excellent choice of Indian cuisine. Tandoori dishes are great, especially the lamb chops. Naans are freshly prepared and sumptuous. Nice appetisers (we had papdi chaat and crispy fried pakoras, both recommended). Ample choice of vegetarian dishes. We had Paneer Makhni -- beats butter chicken any day! and Masala Bhindi, a delicious blend of okra, tomatoes, onions, and spices.
Staff was friendly and very accommodating. Service was smooth and courteous.
The restaurant faces St. Lawrence market in a small street which gives it a unique vibe. The ambience is great -- uncluttered and spacious. Noise level is moderate.
Service always good.
We were entertaining friends from out of town, and knowing one was a Vegetarian this was a perfect choice for us.
This was our first time eating at Bindia post pandemic and I have to say it was pretty disappointing. I don’t like to leave a negative review but this was a pretty shambolic experience.
We waited outside for 10 mins at the “please wait to be seated sign”. Eventually we went inside and were then ushered back out to our bare outside table.
The starter arrived before water, our drink order or cutlery and we had to ask if we could have those things while the food was sitting cooling on the empty table. The main course then arrived while our starter’s dishes were still sitting there. The waiter moved everything around and our food order was placed around the empty starter dishes. We had to ask if he could remove those empty plates. We then had to ask someone else if we could have some plates to eat our meal off as we had been left with just the tiny side plates for the starter.
The food was okay - not as great as we remembered it being. I don’t know if we will come back. Such a shame as this was our favourite Indian in Toronto and we travelled over 30 mins to get here.
Food was great, service not so much. Our waiter was a nice guy, but they were understaffed and he couldn't give us enough attention.
Great menu, new items added recently were very tasty and nice staff.
Were there on the Jazz night and some folks were celebrating so a little noisy but can't begrudge them, they picked a good spot for it.
We ordered lamb byrani, aaloo ghobi, paneer? butter chicken, shrimp vindaloo, and bartha byrani? (eggplant), w/ rice and naan, and had enough for 6 of us. All the plates were excellent with the exception of the lamb which was dried out., One guest did however think it was weird that she had to mix my own drink and one guest felt that when dining with more than four order consider doubling your favourites. The waiter could have, but didn't, provided this recommendation, though.
Great time was had by all.
Really tasty food and great service! Everything was good!
We booked table for 5, so my 3 of friends were running late.. they made us wait for table. After our 3rd friend arrived they gave us table. They made us wait for atleast 30 minutes even for water.. as 2 of our friends were stuck because of rain.
But the food was great.
Wonderful food, service and patio. The best Indian food in the city as far as I am concerned, and I'm from Manchester in England!
Amazing food, service and location!!
Overall very good experience. Food was great. Servers were nice. Could improve a bit on ambience.
Food was incredible the flavours were impeccable my compliments to the chef. Our server was attentive and lovely. All around amazing service amazing restaurant. Highly recommend
great restaurant, amazing food, great staff. Definitely recommend!
Always great service and the food is amazing 🤩. We get the lamb every time and it’s perfect
Tasty delicious food , very kind server , excellent location , excellent !
Very tasty Indian fare. Quiet enough space because of the size of restaurant patio. Excellent prompt, polite and attentive service. Lovely evening out with a friend where conversation could still take place over a meal.
The food was amazing and the service was impeccable!
It is quite expensive for the quantity of the food served.
Located on a small side-street, traffic is minimal. The fence is high topped with flowers, so when sitting you can't see the street/traffic.
This is my favourite Indian restaurant in Toronto. Servers are very friendly, efficient and accommodating. Food is always delicious - perfectly seasoned and aromatic.
Every dish and bite will delight! We return time and time again. Fish pakoras remain our favourite.
Nice atmosphere on the patio, great service, quickly produced food but the value could be slightly better for the portions and food you receive.
First time seeing my Mom and Aunt at a restaurant and it was incredible. Watch out for the serving staff… they’ll make you laugh so hard it may be hard to eat. Thank you for a perfect evening, top to bottom.
Great service, great food, pretty patio. Enjoyed Bindia very much.
Great experience. I am absolutely sure we will return
Great service and delicious food! We thoroughly enjoyed our entire experience and would recommend it/come again!
LOVE Bindia. Excellent food and the staff are super friendly. Never a disappointment.
Loved the experience. Very friendly and great service as well.
Unbeatable, incomparable and friendly service, excellent food as usual (samosas and lamb vindaloo among the best in the city!) . Lovely, quiet setting - it’s always a pleasure to eat at Bindia.
We were seated right away upon arrival. Waiter brought water and menus quickly but took a little time to come back to us. Asked us if we’re ready to order our meal , so we had to slow him down. First we’d like a drink and appetizers. Food was slow in coming out but we took that as it been made to order. It was worth the wait, great flavour , fresh and hot. However when he brought the bill he brought the debit machine and wanted me to tap without showing me the bill. I had to ask to view it while he stood waiting. That was odd. All in all, I would go back there again.
The service was great and all the precautions were being taken
Very friendly good food fast service and reasonable
We are regulars at Bindia & I take lot of my clients for business lunches, this past Sat we were disappointed as the quality of food was not up to par. Chicken Tikka masala had more tomatoes & onions than chicken & we pay hefty price so it’s fair that they serve quality
Perfect restaurant! Good food !! Good service , we really enjoy it
Very tasty !
The food was amazing! Just that it was a bit expensive.
Great food, one of the best indian restaurants in toronto
Food was good, not killer though. Service was average. Owner quite lovely.
1. Not a single employee would step up and stop the homeless person from asking for money in a very aggressive manner. I was seated at the patio, and it was a really horrible experience. I came to enjoy the weather and foods, but it totally ruined.
2. After 45 minutes of being seated, a waitress just comes up to me and my friend, asking how would we like to pay for the bill.
We dined under a sun umbrella while it poured with rain, but the food was so good and generous and the servers so friendly and helpful that we thoroughly enjoyed the evening!
Our patio reservation experienced an unexpected rainfall. We decided to stay and the staff prepared a table with full umbrella cover, wiped down the table and chairs (they were wet) and we had a most enjoyable 2 hours of dining! It was great.
