Diner comfort is paramount, Bina being child friendly, offering a modern and air conditioned interior and providing non dairy and vegan dishes on request, alongside a variety of sixteen specially selected ‘healthy eating’ meals. Also, open for Sunday buffet.

Booked last minute and enjoyed the meal very much, service was very good staff friendly and food was very nice.
Nice touch at the end when they gave my GF a rose, a heart shaped box of chocolates and even opened the door when we left. Lovely evening.

I used to go to this restaurant regularly and was looking forward to taking my partner for a birthday meal .
Having booked I hoped a table was ready . When we arrived we we lead over to a table that was not made up . Cutlery was literally thrown on our table . There was rice on my partners chair and he later told me there was food under the table .
No - one lit our candle and the waiters were sullen and very slow with service .
My curry tasted like tomato soup with chicken in it .
The restaurant was not busy but we had to wait for nearly 15 mins to pay our bill .
All in all a disappointing experience compared to the previous visits in the past .

My son took me here for Mother's Day. At 2pm there were sufficient dinners for a pleasant atmosphere. I liked the spotlessly white linen tablecloth and napkin and a red rose in a vase. We had the buffet. First- poppadums -crisp and delicious and a tray of the normal relishes. Starters- Onion bahjees, chicken wings, naan and salad. The bahjee was good but the naan was like leather. The main course- chicken curries, lamb dishes and vegetable dishes with delicious rice. I enjoyed the combination of flavours. The curries were well cooked but could have been a little hotter- I am not sure the big silver serving dishes keep them as hot as when they are first cooked? At the end, being presented with a single red rose was delightful.

Excellent food, utterly delicious and couldn't be much better. With prices for mains for £9-£13 this represents excellent value. The service was the only thing that lets this place down, from the actions and dialogue of the waiters it appears as if they work in fear of upsetting their 'boss' - which results in a clunky, indecisive and unorganised service. Not at all rude, quite welcoming, I just think they need to relax. But the food is so good here, that this aspect of the experience has been greatly outweighed and I will definitely go again.

Friday night curry

We booked in at short notice. It was great food and great service and really nice to eat at somewhere with nicely dressed tables.
It was a real change from our usual Friday night take away.
Will definitely go back.

Excellent food... absolutely delicious.
Prices were good value, when considering the portion sizes and taste!
The biggest downside was the staff...
A slight language barrier and generally a need to be a little more friendly.
Well worth a visit though.

Reading's Bina Tandoori came highly recommended so I was looking forward to the meal. The greting as we arrived was not very warm and the delay between the Prawn Puri starter (good but a little oily) and the main courses suggested kitchen problems. The head waiter did his best to make up for the delay, offering free dishes and drinks. The main meals were large and tasty when they arrived but the edge had been taken off the evening by the ~45 min. delay.

Bina Tandoori - Reading.
Disapppointing. Booked Christmas Lunch set menu for a change to traditional Christmas. Restaurant empty, food at £30 a head for Indian restaurant was insufficient and lacking in flavour and bite. With drinks the bill was close to £300 for 5 people. That felt like poor value.
Waiters were abrupt and service generally substandard. It might be better at normal times, but definitely wouldn't reccommend the Christmas Lunch to anyone.

Bina Tandoori in Caversham does a great buffet on Sundays for £7.95, good range of curry and obviously popular as its pretty full (though not overcrowded).

The service is a little bit random (as a few reviews have said) but nothing bad at all.

Not usually on on Sundays, but the Murgh Murchiwalla is a great chicken curry (like a tastier jalfrezi)!

I have dined at Bina Tandoori in Caversham several times and the food is usually very good, although a little bit expensive. This time I thought the shashlik was a bit dry, and £30 for starter, curry rice and naan plus a beer was little bit too much to be good value.

On the upside, they do a very good all-you-can eat buffet all day Sunday for £7.50, which turns out around £15-£20 once you add a few drinks or a starter.

Bina Tandoori, Caversham, Reading
Good service and tasty food. Was a little disappointed that when I tried to book a table for 8:30 pm I was told it was fully booked however when we turned up at 9 the place was nowhere near packed. All in all a good dining experience and good value for money. This is a popular curry house in the area and I would go again.

The food's usually good at the BINA, but this time it was exceptional. We were worried as there was a large group of around 30 with another group of 10 imminent,so the noise levels were unusually high. But the food and service were exemplary. The service was of a high standard too but we're still annoyed that only women get handed a red rose on departure!

We were very impressed with Bina Tandoori in Reading. The ambience and service was excellent and the food was all of a very high quality. The Onion Bhajis were the best I have had in many a year but the highlight was the Shahi Lamb, great flavours. One note of caution if trying the lamb; MASSIVE PORTION.
We will definitely be returning when next in Reading.

My friends and I went here and we had a really good night. Good food and a really nice atmosphere. The only thing I would say is that the service could be better especially given the amount of staff. That said we will definitely be going again.

Bina Tandoori Reading

Busy night in the Bina! Good atmosphere. Food as usual was really good. Service a bit mixed. Had to prompt someone to take our order and had to ask twice for the bill. However, food came on time and plates cleared quickly. Toilets very clean, but one sink not working.

Usual high standard from the BINA although our poppadums were taken away before we had finished...that has never happened before! My usual favourite dish tasted a bit more greasy than normal but everything else was top notch.

Bina Tandoori, Caversham, Reading.
I was aware of an unpleasant smell as I took my seat - it was early in the evening, so might have been some cleaning material used during afternoon. Not noticeable once food started coming from the kitchen, but off-putting while studying the menu. Nicely decorated. Staff smart & attentive. I chose Murgh Razala - tender chicken, sauce quite mild, slightly sweet and very well flavoured. Recommended. NB address is Prospect Street, not Prospect Place.

Always popular and consistent in it's standards of service and food, the Bina's an enjoyable and reliable place to unwind.
The staff are friendly and efficient, the place is clean and the food is fresh, tasty and piping hot. The Kingfisher at £3.90 a pint is pricey but the whole experience has us going back time and time again.

Bina Tandoori was lovely. We really enjoyed our mealand would go back. The food was great and the staff were very friendly. The chicken dishes were ver nice and the deserts were also worth trying. The location was also very good and convenient. Have been to many restaurants and eaten a variety of different styles of asian cuisine and the food over all was good. Went with a friend and they also liked it.

Whislt more pricey than the other local Indian restaurants, the food here is absolutely fantastic. The ambience is great, the waiters are so attentive. This is my local and from the first time we went they made us feel so welcome. Every lady gets a complimentary rose to go home with. Definately recommend highly.

Bina Tandoori, Caversham, Reading. My wife and I went there for a celebration dinner. The service was very good and the food tasted excellent.
However I was amazed when I got the bill to discover they charged £1.20 for the pickle tray to accompany the poppadums which themselves were 70p each.
Manyof the Indian restaurants I have frequented give you free poppadums with pickle!
If I had written this review last night, it would end here but we have since suffered considerable discomfort!

Bina in Caversham is undoubtedly the nicest Indian Restaurant in town. The restaurant is very comfortable with good decor. The service is excellent and the waiters are so very friendly and warm welcoming smiles all around. I got give a red rose and we were offered a complimentary alcoholic drink at the end to finish our our great tasting meal. A little pricey compared to some cheaper options but this is by far the Indian around and you get exactly what you pay for, good quality food.
