Came for Seattle Restaurant Week. The steak we got was pretty good. Grilled salmon was great but the side dish pairing was a bit weird. It has bacon cubes on the side, it was way too salty and too strong of a taste. Not so good to pair with salmon. Dessert was really good though!
We had the restaurant week specials and shared the salmon and steak both good!
Absolutely horrible experience. The ambiance attracts families who laugh indulgently at their screeching children. Had the screeching started before we ordered, we wouldn't have stayed. With no recourse, we and everyone else were forced to endure the ongoing screeching. Unfortunately, the night went down from there due to the extraordinarily bad service. We couldn't leave because we'd already ordered, but couldn't eat or drink because everything took so long. We sat for 10 minutes before anyone took our drink and food orders. After ordering drinks / app / main / dessert from Bin on the Lake's restaurant week menu, we heard the table next to us asking repeatedly about the status of their food and realized we too were likely in for a very long night. As mentioned, the food took forever to arrive, and our drinks (1 red wine and 1 negroni) somehow took even longer! After our food was hurriedly dropped off with no comment, my fiance finally got up and located a pepper grinder at a hostess stand and ground pepper for us (to the sympathetic amusement of the other diners suffering equally around us) before putting the pepper back. He also had to get up at another point to refill our water glasses. We were too afraid or order another drink because we didn't want to sign up for another hour at this place! Toward the end of the ordeal, my fiance was going to find someone to ask them to pack our desserts to go when they were dropped off. As we were beyond ready to leave, we asked right then for our check. By then the place was fairly empty. Even so, we finished our dessert and waited several more minutes before finally going to the hostess stand and asking her if she could please find someone, anyone who would bring us our check so we could leave. I also asked to speak to the manager (Courtney). Courtney sent Brett to speak with us. He was nice and offered to comp part of our meal. We said no thank you to the comp, but wanted him to know how terrible the service was.
Great food but understaffed. Great ambience but slow service
I keep trying to give this restaurant another try. The view is wonderful and the service is good. They have a nice wine selection. However, to me, wine and food at Bin are overpriced. The food is always just ok. For the prices they charge I’d expect it to “wow” me.
Really nice dinner, food and service up to par
It was amazing!!!the food and the service was amazing...thank you Liz for a great experience.
My friends and felt pretty good until it was time to cash out our bill. The supervisor used words of prejudice, subtle insults about us needing a discount and the special was misleading to say the least. I definitely will not return there even though the ambiance/ view of the lake was beautiful.
I really liked the food at Bin. The salmon with mushroom was amazing. I thought the booths were a little outdated with color and style. Made the place look less nice inside. Reminded me of a diner like Dennys or something. If those were replaced with something more modern it would go well with the whole dining atmosphere. It's a very beautiful view of Lake Washington and wine was amazing.
We tried Bin on the Lake for the first time last night. It was me, my husband, and our 6 year old son. We all had a great time. The corn and crab chowder was a perfect starter to our meal. And the doughnut dots for dessert were the perfect ending. I highly recommend them! The service was wonderful and the food was great. We will be back. :)
Excellent wait staff. Food was very well prepared and elegantly plated. A manhattan made to my specifications was spot on.
Our Easter Brunch experience at Bin on the Lake could not have been more perfect, especially with their exquisite views that are always a two thumbs up no matter what the weather! Bin on the Lake offered a brilliant menu, and Sarah, Rachid and Allysa were all their usual kind, thoughtful and caring selves making sure everything came out flawlessly! We seriously could not have asked for more! My friend had Dungeness Crab Benedict (which thankfully I got a taste) and I had their Chicken Waffle entree and both were excellent choices!
Whenever you have something special to celebrate or just feel like Happy Hour, this is definitely the place to head! Almost right away you’ll be greeted by the warmly personable Troy, who will pour you one of the best wine’s you’ve ever tasted, and has a true knack for recommending the best ever pairings! Their glorious views, memorable delicacies and impeccable staff will all have you returning again and again.
The food was ok but not exceptional. My sons drink was not palatable
The view of lake washington was beautiful. Ambiance was great. Its pricey but we used a groupon and loved the service.
Amazing food! Superb presentation. Look forward to going back again soon.
The food was wonderful and the views are just the best in Kirkland. Our waiter was personable...we would go back.
Don't have them seat you up front near the bar. You'll be ignored most of the time because your hidden and hopefully they won't have the bartender also be you server. Once any business happens at the bar, you'll be forgotten. Good luck! Although the food was very good and we'll prepared, kudos to the chef and cooks!
I love it. My waitress made the whole night special. She was fun , laughs I spent 137 dollars an gave her a 50 tip
Bar tender never did wait on us as we waited their for our table.
It was great. The staff made our first experience great. Thank you!
beautiful venue on the water. Great martini and bread to start the meal! The salmon and seafood risotto was verrrryyy disappointing. The "seafood" risotto had 3 large prawns (which were decent) but that is all the seafood seen. The risotto was just meh... The salmon wasn't very good. The highlight of that dish was the sweet red beets..
Tried to make up for the dinner by ordering the delicious "sounding" dessert.. apple/pear crumble.. I am a small woman and the dessert came in a small cast iron skillet that was smaller than the palm of my hand.. but insult to injury.. the flavor was terrible.. cut up fruit with granola and brown sugar on top? it wasn't even gooey from the sugar of the fruit at the bottom..
Unfortunately a very unpleasant $100 dinner where the highlight was a martini and the free bread with the pesto and tomato dips..
Service and view were great but food was sub par. Don’t think it is worth the price.
Troy was our waiter and he made the experience. He and all the food and wine were absolutely fabulous!
Our server Sarah was very professional and the food was outstanding. Thank you for the good work.
Great food, and friendly staff. Romantic scenery, and the food was amazing.
We had a delayed Valentines dinner at Bin on the Lake. the wine list is impressive and my old fashioned cocktail was quite good. The ambiance is simple but classy, with most tables getting a nice view of the lake. The food was tasty and yet, somewhat health. We both enjoyed our selections. The service was exactly what we like, with our server being friendly but not obtrusive. I have a hearing problem and appreciated the quiet atmosphere.I recommend this restaurant and will return.
Really disappointing :( First, we had to wait almost 10 minutes as there was no one at the host stand and not until a server came over did we get any attention or seated.
I will say, view is very nice.
The food was a big let down. We ordered cheese and 2 were ok, on was limp and looked like it had been sitting out all day. Butter lettuce salad was good but nothing special, still was the best thing we ate. I ordered cod. It came with a succotash that looked like British breakfast beans and tasted similar - very one note and like tomato paste. Cod was ok but had no seasoning. Husband had the chicken that was stuffed with brown mush (i think it was supposed to be sauage?) and tasted like a wet paper bag. For $150 I would have expected much more. Will not be back.
The occasion was our celebration of Valentine's Day. I was served a nice Porter. My wife chose a wine to begin. We split a butter lettuce with figs salad; very nicely and amply dressed I ordered the Seafood Risotto which was very good, the scampi was well flavored and the risotto was perfectly cooked. My wife had the Scallops. She had a side of fingerling potatos and baby carrots which were nicely flavord but slightly underdone. Compliments and concerns were sent to the chef. Our dinner was purchased wirh a GROUPON. Unfortunately the voucher was printed with no voucher code due to inadvertent redeeming before printing the voucher. The Server and management was very accomodating and honored the purchase receipt. I'm very unhappy with GROUPON because the purchaser has no way of rcovering the Voucher Code at this time, and no way of contacting them on a person to person phone call. The Service Provider should be the only party able to indicate a redemption of the purchase.
Very pleased to have found the perfect setting to celebrate our 20th Wedding Anniversary. Food, wines, service & ambiance was unforgettable. Bin on the Lake is now on our short list for any event we want to be special!
Service was very slow despite the restaurant not appearing to be particularly busy. Steaks were fine, nothing compared to a proper steak restaurant and mine was more of a medium-well rather than the medium-rare I’d ordered. No bread basket or anything. A forgettable experience which was disappointing given that it was a special occasion.
Food was delicious, came fast and when the waiter deemed our wait for our second glass of wine was too ling he comped us the wine! Classy!
Lovely dinner, steak and salmon were both amazing, portions might be a bit small but worked for us. Its a little pricey, but probably worth it. We really enjoyed the view and the food. Will eat there again.
Fantastic food, flavor and ambiance.
Service & food were excellent, but way overpriced.
Experience started bad with the host. Server was good but food was average at best. Scallops dish was disappointing. Scallops would have been good but buried them in mediocre sides.
It was our anniversary dinner. The staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. The atmosphere was great. We were seated right on time. And since we were staying at the hotel, it was within walking distance. I highly recommended.
We had a wonderful date! The food was delicious, and obviously ultra-fresh. Service was friendly, and our meals came out very fast. Try the salted chocolate truffle cake - it’s UNBELIEVABLE.
Dan was awesome. Troy was not. Troy can’t be a bar tender and a waiter. Dan came to save the evening and was excellent. work on customer service with reservation confirmation call. Very unprofessional. Hats off to the chef. Food was excellent.
We sat at the bar and had a pre-dinner drink before being seated. The bartender was very kind and went above and beyond service-wise. At dinner, very gracious Server who was attentive but let us sit and catch up undisturbed. Overall, great night on the water at Bin! Never disappoints!
Food tastes good . However the service is really slow and not enough attention to details like bringing bread, water , drink refills. Food
