Bin on the Lake is a warm and welcoming restaurant and bar located on the shores of Lake Washington. With views of Lake Washington and the Olympic Mountains, Bin on the Lake offers Northwestern cuisine with Mediterranean influence in a lively, social atmosphere.
Our dining room is versatile and able to accommodate groups of varying sizes. The a la carte dinner menu is available for groups of up to 16 people. Prix Fixe menu packages are also available for groups of 16-30.
The semi-private dining space is divided into 3 sections. Rows of sheer curtains can be drawn to provide a more intimate dining space for groups.

What a great happy hour including the oysters and wine. Our waiter was very helpful with our wine selection; found a new favorite. Dinner was excellent for all 3 of us. I really appreciated having a vegetarian option that did not involve pasta - their cauliflower steak was outstanding. Wonderful view and atmosphere.
The service throughout the meal was excellent. Very nice décor and beautiful view.
Great place for an intimate meal. We had the scallops and the salmon as main dishes. Both were done to perfection. We had the BOTL Caesar and the Tomato Salad to start. A bit too much dressing on the Caesar but otherwise good. Tomato salad was good but not excellent. Overall a great evening out for our anniversary.
The food was well prepared, with good variety. And the service was excellent. The sole reason for the less than stellar rating is the price. We expected it to be reasonably high priced. But with a substantial "administration" charge I have not encountered anywhere else, a bit overpriced glasses of wine, etc., the price was excessive, even for a very good meal.
The food and service was good, beautiful setting at Carillon Point. My biggest objection was the 4% surcharge added to the bill to help offset management costs. None of the 4% goes to the servers. Management should cover their costs in their pricing, not in a surcharge. Perception is everything.
It’s restaurant week and decided it was the perfect time to try Bin on the Lake. We got seated and pretty much knew what we wanted. For some reason the bartender(?) was our waiter. We ordered drinks and they came. However, three other tables were seated after us and were ALL helped and had their orders taken before us. We were ignored and waited at least 25 mins trying to get his attention to get our orders in.
Besides taking really long to take our orders, the food was tasty. The view of the water is really nice. Not sure if we would come back.
Exceptional as always. This was our third time eating at Bin, always for a special occasion. This time our anniversary coincided with restaurant week. What a wonde ful 3 course meal we had and our server was outstanding. In my opinion one of the best dining spots on the eastside. Not at all pretentious. Bon Apetite!
We were very excited to try the food, but unfortunately the food was not to our liking. We have had various sirloins but we were not a fan of this one.
The service was wonderful and our waitress asked us many times if there's something else she could do for us, as she saw that we barely ate our food.
The place is beautiful with an amazing view of the lake and the docks.
"FALLING SHORT" Cooked well but with an overdone "fall" flavor profile. To the point that some recipes didn't compliment the key ingredient. Presentation was nothing to write home about. Location is great on the water, but overall disappointingly average experience and not worth the price.
If you dine at this restaurant watch your bill carefully! Not only do they charge the automatic 20% tip (didn’t expect this since we were not in Seattle) but put on a $12.50 surcharge. When asked about the surcharge, our waiter said the hotel (Woodmark) puts the charge on for employee cost of living (or some such nonsense as that). He quickly offered to take it off. The final insult was when we got home and looked at the receipt we had been charged $88 for a bottle of wine that was listed on the wine list at be $72. My husband is still waiting for a call back from the manager.
First day of Seattle Restaurant Week, but I guess no one told the restaurant! We had family in from out of town and wanted to treat them to a nice meal with a nice view. The views are great! But the food and service were underwhelming. 3/9 options for restaurant week were unavailable.. which I could understand if we had dinner reservations for the last hour of the last night of restaurant, but it was day 1. The food that was served was fine, but I do not feel like it was worth the visit.
The ambiance and service was stellar. The views are phenomenal. The food was honestly just 'okay'. I was a little disappointed with my steak, it was a bit cold and the sauce was not appealing. The starter salad was delicious. My guests ordered the filet and salmon and were satisfied but not over the top experience that one would think the price demands.
Took my mom there for her birthday, we got there right in time of the sunset we took gorgeous pictures, the view was amazing. We were seated by the window with a view. We had a wonderful waitress that had recommended a great wine to go with the fish dish. The food was delicious! We will definitely come back and recommended to all of our friends and family
Awesome all around. Ask for Troy for spot-on recommendations for wine pairings that come in 3-oz pours so you can enjoy several different wines with courses that included ample charcuterie, flavorful heirloom tomato and burrata salad, and filet and lobster tail. Strawberry mint sorbet capped one of the best dining experiences I've had in my home town in a very long time. Wonderful.
The restaurant is lovely. Our server Liz was very friendly and personable and took very good care of us. It was a weeknight so it was pretty quiet, which we enjoyed. We had a window table with a view of the lake, which we loved. Service was not rushed and we were able to enjoy each part of our meal while enjoying the view. We shared the salad with strawberries and our entrees were the salmon and the diver scallops. Both were delicious and nicely presented. We shared a dessert as well - kudos to Chef Nicole for the Cherry Clafloutis. We had her homemade almond roca upon check in at the Woodmark Hotel and we're still talking about how good it was. Altogether, it was a special evening and we enjoyed it all.
For what they charge, we were not impressed. I don't mind paying money for a great meal and experience, BUT when it isn't then I'm disappointed and miffed . What's up with the surge charge that doesn't even go to the employees. Is the restaurant/ hotel that hard up for money? Very disappointing overall experience . The one good thing was they have a great view. I don't think I would go there again. I should have stuck with going to Le Grande.
We had a seat outside on the rail so we enjoyed watching the Friday night sailing races. Our wait person was very good and they gave us a nice dessert for my birthday. The main course of roasted chicken and vegetables was tasty,but the Caesar salad was just fair.
The food was good. Nothing extraordinary. The service was a little slow. A Wednesday evening and not crowded or very busy. Took at least twenty minutes for our server to make it to the table. The service picked up a bit after that. Because the food was okay but the service left a little to be desired we will probably not return.
Ever since Bin on the Lake revamped their menu, its been a great place to dine at. Also, the service has been top notch lately. The first couple times we visited it (years ago), the service was so-so. Also, when we mentioned we were celebrating a special occasion, they comped us on two glasses of champagne.
