Wine was excellent but featured bottles (on menu) wasn't/weren't chilled so long wait. Food was quite good. But be CAREFUL--there are apparently "Full" portion prices (if you are in a party of more 3 or more) that are NOT on the menu and the server decides I guess that you want the larger size. Twice the price.
We arrived early and chose to sit at the back of the restaurant to reduce noise levels as the restaurant filled up. Our waitress was excellent, the food was fabulous and the menu options were creative and varied.
Sister birthday dinner. Kristina and Lauren were awesome and took great care of us! They asked questions on our food/drink likes and dislikes, offered great suggestions, and accommodated our requests. The food was served promptly and was excellent. We enjoyed a leisurely dinner and never felt rushed by the staff. The atmosphere is warm and inviting. I will recommend Bin 26 to everyone!
Went for lunch. Great menu, reasonably priced. Food was delicious! The restaurant has a very nice, comfortable decor.
Food was fabulous. Walked into an empty restaurant except for one table with a few adults and two small loud children. So, of course, they tried to seat us right next to this noisy bunch. We pleaded for an option and were moved one small table away. Our waitress clearly was a far cleverer human being than we lowly customers might ever aspire to be.... when she neglected to place our second course order with the kitchen (first course arrived in perfect time. With a 30-minute gap between first and second, we inquired and were haughtily informed “this isn’t a fast food restaurant!”) Without the thoughtless seating plan and server’s attitude, this would have been a five+ star experience. Chef is to be commended and the sommelier was friendly and not intrusive.
The food is excellent, the location on Charles St is great. The only thing is that the portions of food (Mc and cheese & bolognaise pasta were very small. We left the restaurant being hungry.
We had simple lunch: a delicious risotto and salmon with greens and the delicious house salad dressing, followed by the added delight of one cannoli, and one panna cotta, and a long leisurely time to chat. we were served carefully and watched over, but we were not hurried. it was a lovely time to catch up with a friend, in a warm setting with delicious food and enough time for a good visit.
arugula salad with goat cheese was superb. Jessica was very attentive and spot on with her recommendations. welcoming environment- like dining amongst old friends!
Great wine list, excellent food, especially delicious parmesan, good service and great value! Highly recommended!
Interesting menu with many options, small and larger plates. Mixed greens were very fresh, simple and well dressed. First course eggplant parm was wonderful--really delicious and a good portion for a starter. Chicken saltimbocca was uniquely prepared: stuffed with cheese but wrapped in the prosciutto and carved. Also very tasty. The farro pasta dish was a bit odd--it was described as whole wheat pasta served with tomatoes, basil and goat cheese, so the expectation especially in summer was for a fresh primavera type meal. This however was borderline minestrone soup. Taste was fine, just not what would be expected nor probably desired other than on a cold winter's night.
Cute little italian bistro in Beacon Hill. great spot for a date, quiet, excellent wine list, relatively small menu. loved the apps - proscuitto wrapped pears and scallops!!! entrees were good not great, we had the salmon and the chicken saltimbocca. The tiramisu was to die for -- best we have ever had --- and we have had many! Service very attentive with the owners greeting us at our table.
Very nice restaurant with delicious food and vines to sit in a quiet and cosy atmosphere. The service is also very attentively.
It was mostly very good. Our server was helpful with a wine selection and the food was very tasty. They confirmed that we were there for a birthday but then did nothing special about it: no candle in the dessert, we paid for dessert, etc.
As always, a fantastic place to send out of town executives entertaining clients! Refined without being stuffy, and the wine knowledge of the servers is top notch!
Whenever possible, get the whole branzino!
Great food! Had the gnocchi and tagliatella, both delicious and good portion sizes. The burrata and arancini were very good too. Incredibly knowledgeable and unpretentious staff. Try to sit in the front, the back area is too dark and cramped. Tiramisu is a standout!! Love the wine selection and nice bar scene.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff, very interesting menu
I loved the attention of the waitress who recommended excellent wines for all the courses. I had a thoroughly enjoyable experience here and would definitely come back on a future visit!
Good Italian food at a reasonable price. Great for wine enthusiasts. The music was on the loud side, but otherwise the atmosphere was inviting.
Everything was fine except that the restaurant did not have many vegan options for dinner. A few vegetarian options but not vegan.
Recommend to a friend? Yes for dinner(past experience) and no for lunch! Despite reservation and almost no one in the restaurant, a table wasn't ready for us. Server was attentive but it took way too long to be served. it almost felt like they forgot we were there. Lunch crowd is often folks who work and have limited time. This restaurant was not tuned into that reality. I took my staff out for a belated Administrative Professional's Day lunch splurge----saving grace was delicious food.
A wonderful little spot in a beautiful walkable area of town. Small plate menu invites you to try multiple deliciously prepared and artfully presented dishes
The food was good, the atmosphere was good. The server was a bit over persistent. He came by way too much.
I don’t think I’ll go here again. The entrees were delicious (pasta), but everything else was so-so and kind of ridiculous for the price. The sommelier asked us what we were looking for and we said we wanted a bottle to share, preferably not something sweet and definitely not a Riesling. He suggested a Riesling that was “semi sweet” even though we told him multiple times that we may not like it. For $60 a bottle I’d like to make sure we get it right! We tried a sip and it was so so sweet. I’ve never sent a bottle back in my life and I had to for this because I couldn’t imagine drinking the entire thing. The sommelier was shaking his head and tasting it with the rest of the staff behind the bar, right in front of us. He never came back after that and seemed annoyed. We were thrown a menu and we had to pick another bottle by ourselves, and the wine bottle we chose was exactly what we wanted. The wine he chose was on the dessert menu. Overall for a wine bar this was a disappointing experience and I don’t want to go there again. It was awkward and embarrassing and all he had to do was say “sorry I didn’t get it right, let’s find something that will be great!” But instead he hid away from us the entire evening. Really sad because I wanted to like the place and wanted a fun evening with a friend I haven’t seen in a while.
Arrived and was ushered into a dark, airless "closet" - that is how I would describe the back dining area where we were seated. Plenty of empty tables in the front with windows and air but we weren't that lucky. Had to summon a waitress for a drink. I had wine - my friend doesn't drink. The waitress acted appalled. Food was fair. Staff has an attitude. Guess you have to be a local.
A solid, reliable local restaurant with small plates available and all well done. A particularly nice wine list with smaller pours available make it a special place.
We chose this restaurant because it was listed as serving contemporary Italian. We were disappointed with the food.
The best thing was our server, a woman from Ohio.
Excellent food as always. Great ambience and service.
Very nice experience. Food was very good and service excellent. Will certainly go there again.
Nice spot i had beet salad and small tapas size pasta dish mushrooms— perfect amount of food. Delicious. Good service. Only complaint was an extremly loud customer—we should have moved to the back.
My only complaint is that the music is too loud! Otherwise it is a great place!
We were celebrating one year since getting engaged (we had dinner here the night we got engaged) and the staff were welcoming and friendly and generous. We had a great anniversary experience. Thank you!
Fantastic, top quality wines and pretty authentic Italian food. Our waitress was very efficient while being very friendly and made great suggestions. My only criticism is that it was a tad overpriced. $400 plus tip for 2 is not something I can do all the time, but, we got quality, so, in the end we survived and were grateful for the experience.
Our meal was really good as was the service. The menu is slightly deceiving in that the listed prices aren’t the dinner portions and the regular portion is about double in cost on average. We did enjoy ourselves though and thought it was a nice place to celebrate.
The option to have smaller wine glass portions is a nice service to sample different wines. I had a 100ml, liked the wine and then ordered a 250ml of the same wine. Repeat customers, thank you.
We had an enjoyable evening! The food was fantastic & the service was wonderful. Next time we are in Boston we will be back.
The server recommended a starter which was delicious (roasted prosciutto wrapped pears), the main dishes and wine were very tasty, and we had an excellent dessert. Everything came really quickly and the staff were super friendly. Would definitely return.
The vibe is unique, the wine selection very good. Pasta that we shared as a starter was wonderful. We will ordered the branzino and salmon as entrees, good, not extraordinary. It was Valentine's day, and despite having a reservation, felt the staff hoped we would leave after 90 minutes. It's a difficult night to feel unhurried at many restaurants.
Terrific brunch, something for each of us. Will be back !
We wanted a nice Italian meal after a hectic work week. We got a nice table in the front room and had the bicest server! I wish I could remember her name. I started with the tomato-panna soup: it is a very generous portion but more importantly, it was delicious and perfect for a cold winter night. The bruschetta was also delicious. For main dishes we had the hanger steak and the cocoa tagliatelle with mushrooms. The former was delicious per my dining partner and I found the tagliatelle to be simply fabulous! I got the entree sized portion which meant I had it for lunch today. Can’t wait to return!
