Excellent service and good wine selection. Disappointed on the food (vegetarian dishes) but burger was good.
Great destination...food was great and service was pleasant and friendly.
All food as well as the setting is very nice. It was a win all around.
The only heads up is on the appetizers. The Tapas and Entree portions were fair.
The appetizer portions were extremely small for the price....1 Bruchetta for $7?
Now maybe its the diet breaking talking but their bruschettas and homemade mozzarella is incredible. That alone would warrant a five star review in the food category, the truffle fries were good but not special. But the entrees, especially the pumpkin tortellini were exceptional. Wine list was great albeit not very broad, however the available bottles were not only very well priced but also somewhat unique. Service was a tad slow but I thinnk it was an understaffed night
Very sweet waitress-let us try several wines before we selected one-enjoyed the atmosphere!
I had dinner with my wife 3 years ago and I loved the food- I didn't enjoy the food this time
Order the cheese platter it came with 3 triangle shaped cheese.
Two of us ordered the tortellini entree, which we assumed would be a larger portion than a “small plate”. We were served exactly 3 tortellini on each plate. When we asked the server if there had been some kind of mistake, she said, “yes, we get that complaint often”. If anything, it would have been nice if she had warned us. 3 tortellini for $14.00? Come on....
I love Bin 14 on a normal night, but their prix fixe menu for Valentine's Day this year was was sub-par at best.
TERRIBLE !!! we made 7pm reservation for Valentine’s day 1 month ago. When we arrived at 7pm, We were told that we need to eat in 30MINUTES ON VALENTINES DAY or leave. she said there are 6-7:30, 7:30-9 reservations today all booked. and said they tried to call me but couldn’t get through. (nobody called me from that restaurant.) My husband even called them to DOUBLE CHECK on this reservation earlier today they confirmed our reservation and didn’t say anything about missing call or changing reservation time. we were soooo upset. terrible service. They ruined our valentines day. NEVER wanna go back.
Charles is the best.
Perfect early Saturday night grazing dinner. Focus on wine and good food pairings was evident in every dish.
Went for Hoboken Restaurant Week. Best salmon I ever had. Both sides were crispy with a perfectly cooked middle. Servings are on the smaller side though. Will return.
Bin 14 is a great spot in Hoboken. Food is always great and so is the wine. Always love coming here. Will definitely be back
Very attentive staff, great food, many great wine choices
Brunch was great. Friendly service and delicious food.
Amazing establishment. Great food, great wine, great vibes. And our server David Ortega made the experience even better. Highly recommend Bin-14.
We love this little local, super wines and quality flavoursome small plates. Unfortunately sat by the door this time and got the cold air and music just too loud overhead. Sadly also asked to leave as table booked after us.
Which Italian restaurant does not have coffee or desserts?
Love Bin 14! I’ve been here for happy hour and dinner. Ambiance is beautiful and staff is always amazing. Love coming here.
Great food and ambiance, not the best service but would return
$29 bottomless brunch was great- fast service, good food and drinks. Exactly what could be expected at a bottomless brunch!
Great food just missing dessert. Would have been perfect if they server dessert.
The food was very good and great atmosphere, however, we had terrible service. I️t was “mussel night” which meant unlimited mussels in four different sauces and fries for $17.95 however our waitress never told us the details of the special. Then she delivered our food and never came back to check in. We had to ask three different waitresses to help us when we wanted to order something else, have another drink, and pay our bill.
Food and wine were delicious, but the server Matt gave us terrible service. We had a group of four, and one of the meals was entered incorrectly so when the food came out, we had to wait for the fourth correct meal to come out to all eat. We ordered a second bottle of wine which he forgot about so we didn’t get it until after we had all finished eating (30 mins after we ordered the second bottle). We were there for my birthday so we ordered a third bottle of wine and were interested in dessert, but he dropped the check off and when we said we wanted to order something else, he said he had other tables coming in at 9:30. It was very clear we were being kicked out. By 9:45 when we had paid and we’re leaving, 4 out of 5 of the tables in our section we’re still empty so there was absolutely no need to ask us to leave. I would’ve understood if there was a group for a reservation waiting to sit. We also had made a reservation online and noted it was my birthday, but no one acknowledged that nor offered dessert or sang.
I just wish they would honor a reservation at the time of the reservation. Had to wait a half hour post res time to be seated.
Always good food and a good selection of cocktails or wine. The service was a little slower than normal but I believe they were understaffed.
The service was perfect from the warm welcome to recommendations and everyhing in-between. The food itself comes at a price, serving sizes were ok, the quality and taste though was flawless. The beverage choice is very good, especially the wines.
Went here for my Italian mother’s birthday and she absolutely loved it. She raved about every single meal we had. You can’t go wrong with any of the dishes especially the whole made pasta. Great wine selection and we had an excellent waiter who was super helpful. The only thing missing was a dessert menu but we knew this going in so it wasn’t a huge disappointment.
THIS WAS A GREAT PLACE FOR WINE, CHEESE AND COLD CUTS COMBINATION. THEY HAVE CHANGED THEIR MENU. NOT MANY CHEESE OPTIONS, COLD CUTS ARE NOT EVEN WORTH TRYING. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Our waiter was amazing helping us find the wines we would enjoy and the perfect foods
Would definitely not go for brunch. We went with a group of friends. Service was terrible and incredibly slow. Also not very helpful or friendly. We did the 90-minute unlimited brunch option (only because we didn’t have a choice, I’m pregnant so can’t drink anyway but whatever) but it was impossible to get the waiter’s attention to order a drink, not to mention it took a long time for drinks to arrive after ordering, so there was really no value with the unlimited option. Then when my husband tried to order a 3rd Bloody Mary, the waiter told us the 90min was up!! There was no warning that the 90min was over (most places will come around and do a “last call”) and given that we didn’t get our first drinks until after our first course of food had arrived, felt that we were short changed. They also charged me for my orange juice even though mimosas were included in the unlimited option...people at my table were getting their food at all different times, we had to ask multiple times for certain things, the restaurant ran out of cold IPAs, could go on....
Food was amazing and atmosphere is even better!
This was definitely a bistro style, busy atmosphere. My only complaint was the noise level as the decor is mostly hard surfaces that do little to muffle the loud after-work crowd. This makes it hard to talk without yelling across the table. The food and beverages were excellent though and a vibrant energy was certainly present. Some sound barriers would be the biggest improvement.
Great small plates to share, tasty! Service good. Wine choice excellent. Thanks sarah
We had been in the same neighborhood as Bin 14 for 18 months, but we had never visited. Not sure why. Food and service were very good. Small plates, so there is a fair amount of indecision and negotiating at the table amongst friends but that's all part of the experience. Our server, Gary, was extraordinary. I had seen his name in previous reviews and, by chance, he was our server this evening. He knows his wines and he knows his dishes. If you go, listen to his recommendations. It was a tad pricey (even for Hoboken) but the quality was there. Of note, Gary brought over five bottles of wine and gave all four of us a taste before we ordered. Unusual, but a very accommodating beverage strategy. And much appreciated. Only issue: wait until the happy hour crowd clears out before you dine. We were there during the transition and the decibel level declined appreciably. Tin ceilings, hard floors, 19th century railroad car design. Suggestion to management: turn down the music. It has a deep bass, and that's the last thing you need here. During happy hour, everyone is trying to yell above it. After happy hour, no one wants to hear it. Please re-think. Overall, a very good experience.
Food OK. Service was poor
Really enjoyed the meatballs, and short rib. The portions are small as it's a tapas place, but its a fun place to go with a group so each person can try a little of everything. I will be back again!
Great as always!
Almost everyone around us has wine, pizza or cheese. We made the mistake of ordering seafood dishes. Food was bad. My fish tasted undercooked and had an old fishy taste to it. If you go, just get wine and cheese. Pricey for how made their food was. Cute atmosphere.
Food was fabulous, we shared 3 different dishes. The wines were even better. Waitstaff was friendly and informative.
