I like that Billy's is practicing 'social distancing'. I like that staff are wearing masks at all times. As usual the food was EXCELLENT!
Perfect Sunday brunch! We tried a variety of foods-all well prepared and well priced. The service was wonderful-our server was friendly and fun! She took excellent care of us. The restaurant itself is a Roanoke landmark and worth a visit if you’re in town!
We were sitting in the court yard. The atmosphere was festive. The service was great. The food was good and the portions where great. Great drink menu. Overall we had a great time.
Best tuna I have had in awhile
We have gone to Billy’s several times since it’s opening. It’s a solid celebration/date night restaurant. However, this past experience exceeded our expectations. Our server was AMAZING. The wait staff here are almost always good but he was great! And making the reservation online was soooooo easy. I would highly recommend this restaurant (along with their steaks or shrimp and grits) to anyone.
As always Billy's knocks it out of the park. 3 people in our party, 3 different steaks all done perfectly. Very comfortable with the masks, etc that the staff used.
Food and service were excellent. Very friendly staff.
Food, service and overall experience was amazing. Couldn't have asked for better food! Always so impressed every time we eat there. The service was perfect! Can't wait to come back soon.
Very nice Chop House. Beef is the specialty. A must when in Roanoke.
The crab cake appetizer was great, my scallop appetizer was just ok. We both had Ceaser salads and the were great!!My husband ordered steak, it came out burnt, he then had yellow fin tuna and it was good, I had Cajun chicken pasta, it was good and the portion was huge! The restaurant was a really cool place, nice location and our server was awesome!
Greeted us as we walked in, waiter was very attentive, food was fantastic
Great fun for a birthday.
Traveling through town and found Billy’s on Open Table. Greeted and seated promptly. Nice bottled wine collection but they could have better per glass choices. The tuna wantons were excellent on the advice of our server. Daily fish was nicely prepared as was the ravioli although a little salty bout server Steve was excellent and sommelier also pleasantly chatty and helpful. Try the Mountain Red Hedges Syrah. Excellent.
Very nice experience. Wine by the glass ($13) a little pricey. Food was prepared very well.
The salmon couldn’t have been any better, the wine selection was varied and we chose well! Very much enjoyed our dinner and would recommend. I called the restaurant after we left to inquire about details of the wine we had with dinner and the manager very graciously and promptly called me back with the details I sought. 🍷 That’s great customer service...!
Great food and service?
We had a great time and awesome food! Multiple choices for picky eaters and great variety. Steaks and fish were amazing. Service was spot on.
I thought dinner was a good, my dates dinner tasted great, I thought my Miso salmon was a little to sweet, I would great the chicken next with the lobster sauce.
We went to Billy’s for my sister’s 70th birthday and we couldn't have selected a better place! The NY Strip Steak was comparable to some of the finest steaks I’ve had in New York City. Our waitress, Megan, was top notch and the sommelier was extremely knowledgeable. It might be considered to be a little pricey but I believe you get what you pay for and the total experience was well worth the price!
Everything was amazing!
We had brunch on sunday. The food was amazing, great bloody Mary bar and the other cocktails were delish. Our food came out tasting wonderful. I suggest making sure you have a reservation as they were very busy. I will be coming here for dinner in the future.
We arrived early for our reservation, and were still seated within a few minutes, which was wonderful. We sat at our table for about 6 minutes with no one coming to take our drink orders. We ordered an appetizer with our drinks, and the appetizer came out only a few minutes before our food order. We had to ask another server for tea refills 2x while eating as our server was not seen. At one point we thought he had left for the night, and possibly someone was going to fill in for him. We also had to ask for the bread at the start of the meal, as this was not brought out with drinks. At the end of the night, we had observed other tables being brought roses for the women at the table with their checks. This did not happen for us, and we did ask one of the managers if there was something else we could do to get a rose. The manager stated the server was supposed to bring out the rose with the check, but again this did not happen. We have dined at Billy's several times, and with this experience and one other, we have always had excellent service. The food is always wonderful and cooked to order. Will go back at some point, and hopeful that there will be other servers with more attention to the details.
Phenomenal as always! Had a great date night for Valentines!
Everything was high class
Needs a little modern touch, depressing interiors. Vibe is confusing and hard to figure out
We were at Billy's for a Valentine's Day dinner. For a crowded restaurant, we were able to still have an intimate ambiance with it quiet enough to have easy conversation. The waiter was prompt and gave great suggestions. We had a delicious bottle of Pinot Noir. The Cowboy Ribeye was tender and perfectly cooked. The lollipop lambchops and bacon wrapped scallops were very appetizing appetizers, and the fish of the day halibut was tasty and a generous portion. The manager gave out roses to all the ladies. We had a wonderful evening. Next time we are in Roanoke, we will make sure we go to Billy's again.
Excellent food and excellent service in our favorite town
Lunch at Billy's is as good as dinner. My wife had the blackened prime rib special which was excellent even though she usually prefers a rare prime rib. My strawberry salad with spinach, blueberries, nuts, etc & a creamy, sweet vinaigrette was quite filling. The butterfingers infused cheesecake was excellent as well. As always, the service was attentive & not intrusive.
Food was excellent. Waiter brought wrong entre for my wife, but issue was quickly corrected.
It was the evening before Valentine's Day and they had moved tables around to focus on couples for the next day so waiters were some confused as to who was responsible for what. Some delay getting greeted... not bad though. Our window table for2 was positioned a bit to close to a table for 4 which created some problems with conversation drifting both ways. Poor utilization of space. Normally no problem.
Had the special fish, haddock, which was seasoned well but came out a bit soggy. Price was also a bit high for haddock. The trout was a better choice...maybe next time.
Food was good but it was so loud we couldn’t have a conversation without raising our voices to shouts
This was not our first time dining at Billy's, but it was by far our best experience to date. The meal, wine, and dessert was exceptional, and the service was top shelf. Our waiter and all of Billy's staff really took it up a notch, making our 40th anniversary most memorable.
The service was first rate. Everyone loved their food. And all 6 of us had something different. From my grandsons sliders to my scallops and pasta. I was disappointed there were only 3 scallops, but they were huge and flavorful. My wife's shrimp and grits was just a little hot, still mild enough to be acceptable to her. And the tortellini was raved about.
Billy’s is always our go to restaurant with family and friends. They always honor the reservations promptly. Food is delicious and always as ordered. Young children love their menu also.
Through it was a little noisy the food was outstanding.
Billy's brunch on Sunday is fantastic. With their Bloody Mary bar to their candied bacon, there is something for everyone. Definitely recommend this restaurant
Great Food.
We were in town on business and Billy's was recommended to us. We happened to be there during Restaurant week and had the chance to try the prix fixe menu. We all agreed it was quite tasty - tops on our list were the crab cake and shrimp and grits.
Always a pleasant dining experience! Food and service was excellent!
