Bill's Steak and Seafood Ratings and Reviews
We sampled a variety of options. It was a bit loud with a “group” and wedding party. The biggest disappointment is that they reported me to Open Table as a “no show” after I reported to the hostess station upon arrival. She really was paying no attention to me and the place had 4-5 empty tables. Good meal. Circumstances left a bad after taste.
Probably the worst part was my wife ordered Lamb chops . She only ate the Lamb because the risotto was unedible. At 4:00 AM she got violently sick from the lamb. Of course it was touch & go as to whether we had to go to the ER. Fortunately that did not happen.
The Noise from the music was deafening. In fact, it was bad enough that we had to cover our ears & could not wait to leave. When we got o/s we spoke to 2 other couples & they also complained about the NOISE.
WE WILL NOT BE BACK. We are full time residents & are frequently asked about restaurants.
I am sorry to say that we can no longer recommend Bill's Steak & Seafood.
We were disappointed with the Onion Rings. They are our favorite but the first order came out burned and hard. The replacement order was not much better and it seemed like they used a different batter from a few months ago. Would not look forward to ordering them again. Fried ipswitch Clam and Scallop dinner was smaller than I remember it to be.
Not sure I will come back. What a shame from our past experiences.
We gather with friends weekly for cards. Decided a couple weeks ago, instead of fighting the dinner crowd we’d have late lunch. We take turns hosting and this was our week. Now, this should be simple, but we have people coming from all over the place so we need to find someplace that’s central or fairly central. Three of us are from New England. Cranston, Rhode Island and Cape Cod, Ma. So we Three we’re going to be very critical. I also have to say that we have some very fussy eaters. Well, I have to tell you.... not one complaint! That was a first. One man did comment on the dinner prices but ended up with a $10.00 lunch special (chicken teriyaki over rice) and seemed happy. His dish was cleaned so I’m guessing he enjoyed it.
Everyone else had some form of seafood. Of of my fussy friends had the lobster bisque and claimed it to be one of the best she has ever had. Another fussy friend had the salmon lunch special and said it too was delicious. THAT was shocking as she always has something negative to say. Two men had the dinner fish and chips. A bit pricy at $19.00.... until the plate arrived with a piece of fish hanging over the rims. Both plates, so no flute (no pun intended). As big as these dishes were, both men cleaned their plates. I had a taste of my husbands fish and a few chips. Mmmmmmm. So very delish. Another man had the fish sandwich. Again, cleaned his plate. I had the baked haddock. I have to say, I am not a seafood eater but throughly enjoyed my meal.
Will we return? You can count on it.
I had stuffed shrimp. They were very fishy, and I would not order them again. My wife had stuffed sole. She said it was very good.
Our friends did not discuss the taste of their food, so, I assume all was ok. We did like the table arrangement and our server was attentive. Music was awsome.
We were very pleased with the food selections and the quality and amount of food for the price. We had a combination of steak and seafood and it was great. Our server Chris was fun and attentive. We did not know there would be live music so that was an extra treat! We would very much recommend!
This was my first visit to Bill's. We were there at 6:30 on a Sunday night and the band was playing at maximum volume while all the retired people were dancing between the tables. My friends and I were wanting to talk, but couldn't even hear each other over the music, our waiter was kind enough to relocate us to the banquet room, which was perfect. I ordered the seafood casserole which was quite delicious.
Another random choice, but somewhere my folks wanted to try. They did have a reasonable lobster special the night we dined - Two 1 1/2 LB lobsters and corn for $26. The lobster was good but my husband and I could have just split the meal. The shrimp/crab egg roll appetizer was good but small for the price.
However, the staff needs some training. The waiter was fine but the hostess, water server and busser were very rude and abrupt in their engagement with us. For example, the water server came to the table and said - "give me your water glasses" - no pleasantries, no please and definitely no thank you.
The atmosphere was tacky and the gentleman singing into a karoke microphone accompanied by a soundtrack during dinner was terrible!
We will not be back on the next visit.
As year round residents of Naples, we have dined at Bills many times and the good is always fresh and perfectly prepared. The owner is always around and buys all seafood from New England. Last visit we had the prime rib special, which was tender and delicious. Would highly recommend Bills for great atmosphere, service and variety of great meats and seafood.
Went for special on Monday. We had turkey dinner. It was one of the worst turkeys ever. TV dinners are better. It tasted like it was frozen and microwaved a couple of time. Good note - the drinks were strong and they had live music . Stay in the bar -apps and drinks only
Loved the food and the value but the combo was far too loud for any conversation to take place at our table, and we were as far as you could get from the band. We found ourselves wishing for the combo to take a long break , which they did not. The dancing couples were happy but my wife and I left with our ears ringing.
The worst service than management I’ve ever encountered. Chef sent out entrees that we’re raw and not cooked. After declining a new meal because entire table was done eating they still had it on bill and management insisted on gift card for almost nothing didn’t even cover the entire cost of entree. Loud atmosphere with band and dancing throughout Resturant interrupting each dinner. Would never return!!!
We visit Bills often and have never been disappointed until Saturday. They were out of Prime Rib, no surprise there as we had a late reservation so I already had a second choice of Porterhouse. The steak was of terrible quality, so tough I had to saw it with the steak knife.
Wont make that mistake again.
