Bill's Bar and Burger

Open table didn’t mark that this location doesn’t offer breakfast. :(
Save yourself the disappointment and find somewhere else to go if you want a burger (or anything else really.) First, realize this is a chain restaurant- think TGI Friday’s or Ruby Tuesday’s but with a much smaller selection and maybe even higher prices.
The pretzel nuggets come served in a little wire basket (that you would normally use for deep-frying.) While overall they were somewhat tasty, they were not hot and many were partially soggy. The beer cheese and mustard are served in tiny little plastic cups. (We had to pierce the skin on the cheese.) Bill’s Burger is two shriveled little lifeless patties which are eclipsed by the bun. There was no real taste and no real enjoyment. The fries are another sad affair- frozen shoestring fries which will have you fantasizing for McDonald’s. My wife’s crispy chicken breast sandwich was equally disappointing- she said there was no taste there either.
While the service was pretty good, the food really isn’t. Once you get the bill and see what the total is, you’ll be asking yourself “what just happened?”
While this place takes reservations, you should have reservations about actually going here.
Started off a little rough because the restaurant was busy and the hostess didn’t check us in when arrived despite giving us a buzzer. As a result, there was delay in us getting a table and we ended up in the bar area where people in bar kept bumping into us. Our server was excellent - very sweet and responsive and the food was very good.
The food and the service were second to none! Best burgers!
Perfect place for dinner, good food, nice service! Not to extensive! I will come back!
The food was unimpressive - cooked the burgers well-done - didn’t even ask how I wanted mine. Fries were less than crispy. My first margarita was good - the second was made with lemon juice instead of lime - neither the bartender nor our waitress checked in to see if that would be ok.
On a positive note - the waitress was quite knowledgeable about how best to accommodate food allergies
out of town business guests requested a burger place that would not be a two hour meal. This was within walking Distance from our hotel. Tasty burger
Great place for burgers, wings and beer. Even the salads are fantastic.
If you want a good burger or salad and drinks in a nice atmosphere this place is for you. Down the block from Radio City and Rockefeller Center. Two blocks away from Winter Garden Theater. Price is very fair for midtown.
Food comes quick. Burgers are moist and tasty. The shakes are oversized and delicious. Good value especially considering the area. Excellent for family, motorcycle stop or just hanging at the bar. Large TVs. Fun environment. Reservations dont hurt but not always needed.
We were visiting NYC from out of town with 4 adults and 3 children and wanted a place with good food, quick service and close to the theater and Rockefeller Center. Bill's was perfect! Our server was excellent, attentive but not at all intrusive. He anticipated our needs. The food came out quickly and was very tasty. Thanks for helping to make our visit such a fun day for all! Best of luck to you.
PS. Milkshakes were awesome!!!!
It was great, the staff gave us a quiet table as we requested, food was delicious, a wonderful time!
Service took forever. Our server smelled like cigarettes, it was such a strong and unappetizing experience. The burgers were fantastic though!
Good for families with children
Wide variety menu
For $15 for a burger that's slightly bigger than one from Burger King, you'd think they'd throw in the lukewarm McDonald style fries. Nope, those are an additional $5. Bacon on the burger was almost raw (took it off and left it on the plate), and the cheese was barely visible. Crowded and noisy. Oh, and no TP or paper towels in the ladies room, to which there was a line.
Great atmosphere, food was exactly what I thought it would be, Simply amazing. My burger melted in my mouth it was juicy and delicious. I will be re-visiting this restaurant many more times.
We celebrated my daughter’s birthday with some amazing burgers and shakes. Thank you!
Toiletten sehr gewöhnungsbedürftig (1 für die komplette Etage) . Und für die Preise dürfen die auch sauberer sein. Bier unglaublich teuer. Essen dafür sehr gut für normale Preise.
Bill's Bar and Burger perfect place to retreat from the busy Rockefeller Center area. We visit NYC multiple times and BBB's quality is consistent. Anthony at the bar is the ultimate PRO with meal/drink recommendations on the ready. Thanks again Anthony for being so friendly and attentive!
We had a great time with a great server. Burgers were delicious and drinks refreshing! We will definitely come back again.
Our server Fred was great! The food was really good and the atmosphere was great! Very relaxed and laid back.
We had a party of 6 and 4. The waitstaff (Kenny) was great, very attentive and efficient. All 10 of us were raving about the food and service. Food was piping hot and we were served within minutes of ordering. Would definitely revisit Bill’s and recommend to anyone in Rockefeller Ctr. Area
Enjoyed our visit but the food, although tasted good, could have been warmer.
Great food & excellent service. Highly recommend!
Excellent, our table was ready and the food was very tasty.
Great food and atmosphere. We would visit again when at Times Square
Great value for the price, location and quality. Burgers are good, side dishes are better especially the mac n cheese. Save room for a shake, they are delicious and very reasonably priced. Can definitely bring kids but it gets very busy, so make a reservation and you’ll be sure to sit right away.
Very good food. We had a reservation and arrived early and were still seated immediately.
Good, service and shakes were amazing!!
No wait time, food was delicious and excellent prices for location
New Year's Day lunch before Christmas show at Radio City Music Hall. Arrived on time for 12 noon reservation and was seated immediately. Our server (she didn't give her name) was friendly and attentive, but not overbearing. The restaurant was jam packed which probably explained the length of time it took for our orders to arrive. Once we starting eating, though, OH MY! Everything was delicious! As the name implies, the burgers are the best! Cooked to perfection as ordered, the side of Brussels sprouts was tender, not bitter or greasy. Possibly the best I've ever had. Portion sizes were generous and the value was excellent especially for New York City.
I'd like to try it again (dinner, maybe?) when it's less crowded so that we can enjoy some adult beverages-they have an extensive selection of locally distilled bourbons.
Plats sont bon, le resto est bruyant et le service acceptable sans plus
We ate here after seeing the Rockettes show at Radio City because it was close by. The menu is basically burgers and sandwiches - nothing fancy. The food was decent. We had some problems getting seated. We had a reservation and they seemed to be backed up with their table availability. Our waiter was very attentive. We would return again if we're looking for basic food near Rockefeller Center.
Everything was great, except charging $1.50 for extra mayo. Just a side of mayo!!!!! The sandwich literally only had a smear of mayo on it. I’m fine with high prices for food, but for condiments?!?! Get real!
Had a wonderful lunch on New Years Eve. Hamburgers were delicious. Staff were courteous and efficient. Thank you
Large portions of great waffles, pancakes and french toast.
Great food and perfect location. Prices were reasonable and staff was excellent. Thanks for a fabulous night out with the kids.
Even though the restaurant was busy, the food arrived quickly and was great. Would recommend the beyond beef burger.
Burgers are insane! The best burger I’ve ever had. The waiter was extremely busy and was running around everywhere which meant we waited a long time for the bill or refills on drinks
We went to this restaurant after attending the Rockettes Christmas Spectacular at Radio City, so we knew it would be crowded. Our server was very friendly, but didn't hear our order correctly the first time around. The chicken fingers for kids were pathetic--really small and mostly crunchy coating without much chicken. We should have ordered 2 portions for a hungry 8 year old! The mini-burgers were tasty, but simply microwaved squares of meat. We were happy to get a table, but wouldn't go back unless we had to.
