Killer burger however, fries could have been hot and the waiter go the order wrong. Expect more from a Rock Center burger hot spot.
We came after a matinee show and were seated right away. The servers were friendly and the food was good. The food came pretty quickly too.
Food served cold.
Salad served with entrée.
Soda flat .
Cold slaw served frozen.
Last minute desire for a burger was definitely satisfied by their delicious fare. Last minute desire for fries not so much. The place was busy, wait staff efficient and burgers very good. Could be cleaner and the fries were the thin stringy kind, served cold and with no taste. Too bad we weren't in the mood for shakes as those looked really good.
First had group of 4 then changed to 6 with know problem. Sat at a booth in corner so noise level wasn’t an issue. Michael did an excellent job serving us.
Have been here a few times for lunch as I work in the area. Food is solid. Service can be slow though.
I can always count on Bill’s for an amazing burger. I usually get the sliders and they are delicious every time. And don’t forget to get a side of cheese fries! Lunch time is very busy so if you can, make a reservation or you may have to wait. If you’re going during the Holidays, DEFINITELY make a reservation.
My husband and I had tickets to Radio City Music Hall and wanted to eat a decent pub style dinner prior to the show. Not only were the Bill's burgers delicious, along with a split salad, French fries and beer, but the cost was a great value. Wr enkoyed sitting by the window looking out. We will be back to dine next time we are in that part of town. Our server was very good but he never asked us if we wanted another beer, coffee or dessert; he came over with the check. I know it was crazy busy, and perhaps the table was needed but he should have asked even if we said no thank you. Very nice, though.
I have passed this place by quite a few times but never tried it. I thought this would be a great opportunity to do so. We arrived 15-20 minutes early and they seated us without a wait. It wasn't the best table or of my preference but not a big deal. The waitress seemed really nice but she just was barely there. We had to wait long intervals before she would return. My friend had an issue with her food and sent it back three different times.
In the end when we were leaving I noticed that they had a B rating in the window. This was "kindly" blocked by the menu they had standing in front of it outside. I do wish it wasn't blocked because had I saw that beforehand, I definitely would have made my way to Del Frisco's or Morton's as I normally do. I didn't even bother to get a milkshake after the whole hide and seek ordeal. This was an experience, but I'll keep passing next time. At least for this location.
The food was average. Our server, while friendly, didn’t write down our order. Two of the four meals came out missing items. I expected the food to be better based on other reviews. Maybe we hit it on a bad night.
Hostess upstairs was having challenges, however downstairs was welcoming and Kim extraordinary! My friend's first experience of the shrimp burger. Only recommendation -- bring back the Grand Esplanade!!
My daughter's favorite restaurant -- and she's 3 years old! A nice and simple kid's menu, great fish tacos, and a solid place for a quick bite in a sit-down setting. Booths for families, and oh yeah... the burgers kick butt!
Food was great. Service excellent and quick. Kid friendly!
Staff was very nice and helpful. Good came out pretty quickly and was a good burger and milkshake.
Best and most inexpensive meal I had while visiting NYC. And right next to Rockefeller Center.
Loved the place! Great food, service, and overall atmosphere. Would definitely recommend.
Really good food and the service was great! I would definitely recommend to anyone
Service was fast and friendly. Kids enjoyed the atmosphere but food was mediocre to poor. Kids' meal fries tasted like cardboard. Slider buns were stale and food otherwise unexceptional. Will not go back.
Very mediocre. The only reason we chose to eat there was that it was close to Radio City Music Hall where we had show tickets. When we arrived- well before the dinner rush- the hostess at first couldn't find the reservation, then sent us downstairs to another hostess for seating. The second hostess sent us back upstairs despite the fact that there were many empty tables. When we finally did get seated it took more time to get menus and over 15 minutes for someone to take our order. 45 minutes later the entire order( soups, appetizers, and entrees) came out at once.
Yes, the food was hot as served, but otherwise bland. Inexpensive though.
Two hours in the place to get a bowl of soup and a hamburger. No Thanks.
Dinner took a full hour to receive (2 sandwiches). Our side was served when we were 90% done with our food. Plus, it was overcooked and had to be sent back. My hubby worked at Ruth’s Chris for many years. If the waitstaff is “in the weeds” go and apologize or send a manager over to talk. Nothing was done. In my 30+ years of eating out, that was the first time I didn’t leave a tip.
Sat on time, but no food to 80 minutes means we up and left. They comped our drinks but still not worth it.
Excellent spot for a pre-theater dinner. Absolutely delicious chili fries and corn chips with guacamole. Tasty burgers, and very very good gluten-free bun. Friendly, accommodating wait staff. Excellent location and a fun time before the show at Radio City Music Hall.
If you have a large group in midtown, this seems like a great place to go as it is two levels and can definitely accommodate. However, as a group of 2 who ordered after a group of 15, it took over an HOUR to get our food at 5:30pm on a Saturday. Not only were we massively delayed, but so was the large group and many other tables around no us. No comps or anything. What a waste of time.
Took 30 minutes for our drinks to come. Our server was very apologetic and he was great
Great meal! Food was excellent
It was so disappointing, we always visit Bills when I’m NYC and each time service isn’t the fastest, but this evening was ridiculous. We waited over 40mins for a kids grilled cheese sandwich, kids hamburger and 1 rock burger and 3 sodas. We saw 2 other tables of 5 leave, leave without receiving their meals. So disappointed that our last visit to Bills was memorable for all the wring reasons.
Cute little burger joint just off Fifth Avenue by Rockefeller Center. Fresh beef burgers that were yummy. Onions rings a little soggy but still a fun quick bite. I would definitely go back,
Tutto perfetto, ottimo cibo ed ottime birre
Service was quite slow but food and drinks were good.
Food was good and the shake was better but the noise was too high. Service and value are both good. Would come back
Had a reservation for 12.30pm and wasnt seated until 12.55....ridiculous.
Overpriced burgers but what do u expect in NYC
Have had much better burgers for much less and those even came with fries not a separate charge
Tables are crammed together literally had to ask guy next to us to get up so I could go to bathroom. Stick with bottled beer mixed drinks so weak not worth the $14 per
Bill's has great burgers at reasonable prices. Also an extensive beer list.
A disaster. Raw frozen fish in the tacos , cold fries. Minuscule fish in sandwich . Terrible.
A good place for a quick lunch. Standard burger fare, just like the name says.
We had a nice lunch. The food was very good. The service was pleasant. The only thing I have to say negative was that it was quite cold. We kept getting a nasty draft. We will surely return but with a cardigan next time.
Took a long time to get our food. Server was inattentive.
Was with co workers Waited 45 minutes for a burger got up and left
Food was great. Wait time was good.
Made a reservation for 6pm and didn’t get seated until 6:40.
