Bill's Bar and Burger Ratings and Reviews
I gave the restaurant a poor rating in all categories even though we never got to eat anything. I made a reservation via Open Table for January 18th for 3 people at 6:00 p.m. When we arrived, the area around the hostess station was crowded with people, all who had reservations and were told the same thing as we were - no tables were available. We were given a beeper and told to wait. After about 20 minutes I approached the hostess station and was told that there were still 4 parties ahead of us. I questioned the hostess as to how could that be when we had a 6:00 reservation and was told that prior to our arrival she had seated people without reservations. The manager came over and told me we would be seated as soon as a table was available. Looking around, it appeared that no one was even close to being finished and we had an 8:00 show. He said that the hostess made an error by seating people without reservations. Really!!!!
We left as did several other groups and walked across the street to Johnny Utah's where we were immediately seated and served.
Thumbs down to Bill's Bar and Burger!!!
After over 45min waiting for a table we walked out. They had a speed dating event downstairs, that's why only half the restaurant could be used. Everyone around me with a reservation was angry and frustrated. The ladies at the front just shrugged their shoulders and didn't care.
Research a good burger place near our hotel and found this restaurant. The food was horrible. The sliders were under cooked and greasy like a Krystal’s. Sweet potato fries were ok. Regular fries were ok as well. The ambiance is good and the place was packed! I can’t believe anyone would wait 40 minutes for this food. Save yourself. Go somewhere else I can’t for the life of me understand why this place has a good rating.....
Perfect spot for pre-theatre dinner. We were looking for a kid-friendly restaurant near Broadway and Bill's was a great casual dining choice. The burgers are quite good (but sadly, they only serve medium-well to well), their house beer is made by Six Point, and the milkshakes are excellent. Would dine here again!
We had to wait for 30mins to get a table and what’s the point of making a reservation! We had to choose to squeeze everybody into one table or split into two separate tables. Had to wait for 15 mins for the waitress to take our orders. Foods took forever & when finally came, they were cold. Very disappointed with the quality of the service & food!!
The food was extremely good, yet the service could have been better. Even though the waiter was friendly, he brought us the wrong drinks and forgot about our order. We also had to wait quite some time to pay. But as the food and the atmosphere was really great (juicy burgers and very crispy fries), we would always go there again!
Went to Radio City Music Hall for the Christmas Special, on Saturday December 30. Had a 5pm reservation here. Got there early (about 4:15). They were able to seat us within 15 minutes. We were really surprised because it was right before NYE. Food was very good. Restaurant was really convenient to Radio City. All in all, glad we went here!
Reservations were immediately noted and we were taken directly to open table. Table was next to serving station which took away from any possible restaurant ambience, but had good view of Televisions showing NY Weekend Bowl Game which was much appreciated for a sports fan.
Food was good and reasonably priced for NYC visitor. Was able to order variation from menu item with no problem. NY Cheesecake which was not on menu was exceptional.
Service staff made apologies for any delay in service which were minor at worst and being 12 deg outside we preferred to stay longer. Food was served quickly upon order (Too quickly considering the cold outside, but can't blame restaurant for that).
Emergency Exit door was constantly being opened by patrons leaving through door marked for "Emergency Only". Very cold wind blowing directly on us each time. Took many times before services took action to prevent this from happening.
Burgers were huge and delicious. My son had a thin mint shake that he raced about. Only downside was that the Drink menu was not updated. Lots of what was listed wasn’t available. I got my meal before i got a drink, asking for 3 different things before ending up with red sangria. Will go back sometime when i am in the city.
The food was great, waiter was great but I was seriously turned off by the two females hostess. They both were extremely rude and one was laying her head down on the counter and wouldn’t lift her head or eyes to talk to anyone. I understand, it’s busy, it’s a holiday but at least be gracious. You’re the first people your guest see when they come into your establishment. I won’t be coming back to this location for sure.
