Did not honor reservation (unaware of reservation) but pulled something together within 30 minutes. Lack of staff and organization seemed to be issue.
We booked a table for 7.00 well in Advance confirmed the day before on auto booking that still going .
We queued to get in and then waited til 720 to get to front .. manager ignored us .. asked at bar and he said wait would be 20 mins or so. He spoke to manager who confirmed … but still didn’t say anything to us - we waited (which I regret but it was thanksgiving) and eventually shown to a seat.
Manager said they shouldn’t have been taking bookings !
Food was ok - saving grace was a great waiter but we were then on a clock to get out.
Ladt time we stayed we ate here 3 times - once was enough this time.
We didn’t get to eat here. The hostess was very rude. She said she didn’t know why OpenTable gave us a reservation. There was no way we were getting in.

The quality and quantity of the food was outstanding, As most establishments are running on a reduced staffing level we where greeted and seated quickley. Drinks arrived shortly after, The server took a awhile to take our order but the apertizer arrived and the food after that.
Burgers should be simple. Totally understand that Covid still impacts service in NYC. I am very patient and understanding. Burger prepared incorrectly - fries were cold And the waitress never popped over to ask if I was enjoying my food. Presented w bill and requested fries be removed. Had to get a manager to correct it.
Seriously- take the time and do it right.
After sitting at a table, and having various bus personnel and wait staff work around us, a wait staff person asked if were being helped. After we told her no one had approached us yet, we were told the kitchen was closed. It was not closing time yet. She did go to the kitchen to check but came back and told us the kitchen was closed. I don't know if they were short staffed but guests should not be seated if they can't accomodate them.
It was a very nice place, you can find American food. Not much variety but delicious.

I used to go to this establishment when it was in Harrah’s Casino a few years ago. It was my favorite place to eat, i was so excited i found it in lower manhattan.
The quality is still there!! Brought back so much memories!
Surprisingly good! Looked very quiet from the street, but once inside and to the back of the restaurant, busy and lively! Definitely understaffed, but that is just something that is part of dining now as restaurants struggle to employ enough waiters.
We had previously eaten at the bills bar and burgers at Rockefeller Center, this location was a disappointment

I stay at the hotel came down to get a meal waiting waiting no service (7:30pm ) request a seat on line never got a response wAlked to the bar place order i don’t like the wings but fries very good
1) I arrived before my “reservation” but was able to be seated and served early
2) the food was GREAT! The burgers, chicken tenders and onion rings were delicious
3) Jay, our waiter, was very friendly and when I said we needed to leave quickly he got our receipt and takeaway boxes quickly
1) we stood waiting to be acknowledged for 10mins.. there were MAYBE half a dozen tables with customers so it was very empty
2) I made a reservation, they didn’t have my name on the list
3) it took a further 10mins to have our waiter come for our drinks order
4) despite making our order pretty quick and easy (we had somewhere to be following dinner) my food was still incorrect but I didn’t have time to wait for them to change it so I had to eat it anyway
5) we arrived with 1.5hrs until our next appt which was in the building next door; however, between waiting to be seated, waiting for our server, etc we had to take a lot of our food to go because by the time our dinner arrived we only had 25mins until our next reservation.
Had a wonderful thanksgiving dinner. A lot of good food for the price.

We were seated right away. The service was great; friendly hostess, server was also friendly and very knowledgeable about the menu. Perfect place for a burger!
Suprisingly good. From the nachos and wings to the burgers and chicken sandwichs. Drinks are great. This is a great stop whether staying at the hotel or walking by.
To start, our waitress took over 25min to take our drink order (the restaurant wasn’t even busy). The food was lackluster and not cooked to liking. Overall an excruciatingly slow and disappointing dining experience.
Food and service were great. Servers were attentive and caring. Prices very reasonable.
Burger was delicious... Towered with toppings so it was a little messy, but good nonetheless.

We were in the mood for a good burger, and Bill's definitely provided that. Fat Cat and Ranch Hand burgers were excellent! Shakes were delicious as well! Also had a side of fries which were somewhat disappointing - not crisp. Service was also very good!
This place is truly horrible. Never saw our waiter. They charge $3 for every single refill. Food took 1 1/2 hours and was disgusting. Burgers greasy, fries hard and cold and my shrimp sandwich was a mystery patty of mushed up shrimp. Disgusting! Don’t waste your time or money. Gross gross gross.

We had group of 6 visiting the 9/11 Memorial and surrounding areas. The food was good, although I think overpriced even for NY. The menu is pretty big and I would definitely go back. The only negative thing that happened was the hostess forgot about us. I made a reservation and when we arrived there was a couple ahead of us. They were seated and the hostess said it would just be a few minutes. 20 minutes later we asked her for an update and it was obvious she forgot about us. They crammed us into a small table right away. Overall a solid choice though.

I think most of the experience was fine. Has a family-owned vibe (non-franchise). The patty melt was amazing, and you get more than enough fries for the meal, so no complaints on the food. I only feel the patties were paired vs. stacked, so it made consuming a little awkward. I asked for going light on Thousand Island, but it was merely "to the side". I didn't mind that, but it would be very difficult to place on the sandwich at all, after prep. Server didn't check the pen I received, and didn't really pay much attention to me after dropping the pen/bill to my table. I assume he expected I would be set. Not a complaint, but rather just and unfortunate delay. Otherwise, great food, good value. I'd return.
My overall experience with Bill’s Bar and Burger was ok. Ambience and food was good for what it was, but my experience was marred by our waiter’s performance of getting things to us in a prompt manner. On multiple occasions we had to remind our waiter (after 15-20 minutes) because it seemed like he just forgot what our simple requests (e.g. drink ordered, refill). The place wasn’t that busy either (multiple tables were open). Most of the time we just ended up going to the bar to get what we wanted. I wouldn’t out right recommend this place to a friend and won’t be returning.
Slow to take order. Really slow
Victoria was our server. She was fabulous!!! The food was excellent and the atmosphere was upbeat for a Sunday afternoon lunch with my out-of-town guests. I will definitely return!
