The food is great, as always. However, a bit put back by the dog at the table next to us. Now, I'm sure they positioned it as a "service dog" (how else would it get inside) , but it was a designer dog who was passed around laps. Really? We don't need dogs inside restaurants. This is out of control and not acceptable. (as far as I can tell by Chicago laws). People go out and leave their children at home; dog folks should do the same.

We liked it so much for breakfast that we went back for dinner. Our server, Beth, was so kind and attentive. Great find in our favorite week-end city! We will be back!

We appreciated the fact that they were open on Thanksgiving. They have a nicely varied menu and we all found something that appealed to us. They have a nice selection of beers and wines and are in a great location on North State Street. Another pleasant meal for us at Bijan's Bistro.

Had Thanksgiving dinner here. Portion sizes were large. Food was delicious. Would have
been nice to have a choice other than just salad or soup and only pumpkin pie but otherwise
no complaints! Service was great and we even had a to go dinner ready for us when we left.

Duck a la 'rang at 1am? SIGN ME UP! Bijan's is the best late night eatery in Chicago because you can get the basic breakfast food you want or French specialties. Service is always sweet.

The food was exceptional, the service amazing!

Go hungry or you will be taking home a full meal! I kept eating (because it was so good) but didn't look like I ate anything!

Should be on everyone's list of favorite restaurants.

Great place to go for a casual dinner, inside and outside dining. Unfortunately, the couple beside us was too loud and you could hear their conversation. The food was excellent and the temperature was perfect. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

We chose this restaurant, because it was within walking distance & they offered shrimp dejong & crab cakes, on the website menu. We were all looking forward to ordering those 2 items, but when we arrived, they did not have them on the menu, so we had to settle for something else. We did enjoy the snails-----the bar was very nice---and the value was good. However, we probably would not go back, because the menu was much more limited than on their website.

We had a great experience here despite having a large group of 14 people. Our wait staff was wonderful, fun and efficient, and the owner/manager was also very attentive and welcoming. The food was good and the restaurant feels like a great neighborhood find that is what Chicago is all about, so our out-of-town friends loved it!

Excellent choice for great American comfort food! The three meat meatloaf is on par, or better with any I have eaten; and dessert was excellent!

EVERYTHING WAS GREAST! ONLY DISAPPOINTMENT WAS OWNER LOOKING AT EVERY TABLE BUT NOT AT CUSTOMERS, NO EYE CONTACT NOR CONVERSATION- JUST STARING DOWN AT TABLE. AS LEAVING I TRIED TO CHIT CHAT AND WAVE TO LET HIM KNOW HOW MUCH WE ENJOYED DINNER BUT HE DID NOT EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE US.

Service was a little slow. The menu was nothing to write home about. We ordered Brussel sprouts and they were watery, and the brie was lukewarm. Overall not great, not terrible either, Just kind of blah.

A nice, casual, white tablecloth place. The menu has a wide selection, good for a variety of tastes. Bartender pours a good drink - not light on liquor, but not overboard either. Location is great - very walkable area.

The food was great and perfect a setting for a group of 8. Nice location and ambiance too. Only frustration was when we got the bill, the waitress split it up (that was nice) BUT did not tell us that a gratuity was added. When asked, she was not forthcoming and we then requested to see the whole bill and it showed gratuity was added and we needed our individual receipts for our credit cards rewritten.

I had been meaning to eat at this restaurant and finally did. I went during the lunch hour. The menu is different than the dinner one. Anyway, I was deciding between a couple of dishes: the Atlantic salmon and mushroom tartine. I chose the latter. I was incredibly pleased with the dish, which also featured arugula and goat cheese on top. I also ordered a side of grilled asparagus and the fruit parfait. Based off another review here, I will definitely return for the salmon. I'll go during the dinner hour.

I suspect that this place gets busy, but I went on a Tuesday afternoon and it was quiet. The place was smaller than I realized it would be, but I actually liked the coziness. The host and servers were pleasant without being in your face nonstop.

This place was terrible. The website was a bit misleading. They seemed to be a nice place to enjoy a meal. The server would walk up to our table and just stare at us without asking any questions. Very awkward. Seemed like she was in training, but she didn't really know what she was doing at all. The manager was nice. Food was decent, but not great. Would not go back unless there were no other options.

Great service and cuisine. Atlantic salmon was perfect...flavorful and melted in my mouth. Crab cakes were very good. Spinach artichoke dip is a common dish but is was unique and flavorful here.

The service was very rushed. Our two tables (party of six) were moved twice after we were seated to accommodate changes at other tables. Not an exceptional experience. With all of the restaurants to choose from in that area, I would go elsewhere next time.

Great service! The beef tenderloin sandwich was pretty chewy, but the bacon mac and cheese and potato leek soup were beyond amazing and worth the trip! The restaurant is great for a meal after a night out in River North since it is open late.

My food was ok. Not all of it was hot when it arrived. Mashed potatoes were warm at best and it was overpriced for the quality of the food. We asked for a burger medium well but it was cooked beyond well done and dry with no seasoning.
