Went during off season in Keystone-very relaxed and enjoyable experience in a beautiful setting. Price was a little stretch for what we were hoping with not a lot of options, but the food we got was very delicious and worth it in the end for the whole experience. Loved the specialty butter and jam spread before dinner, but could have used a little more. Not a cheap date site or for a couple of buddies getting together, but for a real nice night with a lovely lady- my wife loved it! Lobster Mac & Cheese was very flavorful and had plenty of lobster.
The food at this restaurant was horrible for the price. Their Wagyu Ribeye tasted like a $10 sirloin from Chilis. The staff was very nice but the food was awful.
The service was fantastic. It was what I would expect at the finest restaurant. And the food was well prepared and presented. They even had edible flowers on the scallops. But the taste was ripped asunder by the excessive salt. The coating of salt on the scallops burned my tongue. The asparagus might have been soaked overnight in brine. Ouch.
The restaurant offers lovely views of the mountains and the lake village at Keystone. My wife absolutely loved her filet mignon. The tuna poke appetizer was huge, beautiful, and delicious. And the service was friendly, helpful, professional and timely. Finally, for all that we received, the prices were very reasonable.
Lobster Mac & Cheese is exceptional. Great cheese blend and bountiful pieces of lobster
The food was average. For a steak house, the steak was just ok. It came out of the kitchen lukewarm. The service was very slow.
We were taking a luminary of my profession out to dinner. The starters were outstanding, including artichokes (messy, delicous) and flatbread. I have had dinner here a number of times, opted for the pork chop and found the start with it less than optimal, but otherwise entrees were well done. Excellent service. Well mixed drink. And a view that cannot be beat.
Pleasantly surprised at very high quality food and service. Staying in Dillon for only one night on my way to Vail I found on Opentble ap and liked the positive reviews. Good ingredients and great service. Will visit again next year when I'm in the area
The restaurant is located in the Keystone Lodge building and looks out over Keystone Lake toward the Continental Divide. Get there as the sun is setting and you will be treated to an exceptional display of lighting and alpenglo colors reflected off the mountain slopes. Some evenings you will also be in prime position for evening firework displays (not during fire season, however). The food is well prepared and presentation is elegant. An adjacent bar hosts live music on occasion and the drinks are generously poured.
Great get together of friends with various tastes, all completely satisfied with good wine and beer. Enjoyed immensely with great service!
Only complaint, menu not same as on the web. Items missing
Food service and atmosphere fantastic. You can't beat The View. We have always had a great time there.
The food was to small for the price i pay.. more than 40$ for one tiny piece of meat? I was very disaponted... everything was going great till the gentleman bring the food.. you guys should make your food not bigger but acording to the price! Wich means yeah... bigger...
We enjoyed our date night while vacationing in Keystone. The views were beautiful especially with a table by the window looking out onto the lake. The food was good but nothing spectacular. The price was average for a higher end restaurant on resort. We spent almost $120 with alcoholic beverages and dessert. I am not sure I have to return but it was a good place for us to try once.
Pleasant, imaginative cooking, reasonably priced. Much better than we expected
Very good food, however, the leather on the chairs was all worn out and ripped. For the prices at this restaurant I would think the chairs would be in better shape to improve the ambience.
Fabulous dinner with a top notch waiter! We'll be back!
Planned a special dinner here to celebrate our 10 year wedding anniversary. Pictures & menu sounded great online. Nice ambiance, terrible food. Paid over $115 for two which normally would be acceptable for a special occasion but the food was awful. Not what we expected & would not recommend. The bar attached to restaurant is nice.
After enjoying the varied and tasty charcuterie board and a delicious, full lobster/crab bisque, I had one of the three best restaurant steaks I've ever had (ribeye). It was not over-seasoned and was grilled to perfection. My wife also enjoyed the lobster macaroni and cheese and was unable to finish the generous portion. We enjoyed the setting of our private booth which allowed us to easily enjoy private conversation despite other couples and groups being in close proximity. We will definitely return on our next visit to Keystone.
From the Hostess greeting to the after dinner cocktails, the staff , food, and drinks were amazing! They went above and beyond to impress and helped make our friends weekend one to remember. Food was done to perfection! Even with some special requests thrown in. No complaints, rudeness or no we cant do that. Thank you everyone. Your hospitality is 5 stars, refreshing and appreciated.
It was nice place at Keystone, nice food, excellent service, good atmosphere!!!! Love keystone and definitely will come back to visit this place on our next family vacation!!!!
Conveniently located in the Keystone Lodge. Comfortable for family dining, but with enough acoustic softness to limit noise levels. Nice views of the Keystone Lake activities, Saturday night fireworks, or early evening alpenglo on the west-facing mountains. Wine list has satisfactory options of all types. Food nicely portioned and prepared. Service was a bit slow and cool on this particular visit, but has been warm and timely during several other visits during the past years. During the XMAS holday season a mountain village scene made entirely of chocolate is a wonder to behold, but is not to be eaten.
The entrees were good- very good flavors, good sized portions and good selection. Price point appropriate. Bread basket was disappointing given the quality of the entrees. Carrot cake cheesecake was not what we expected and was dry. Service could have been a little better- a little slow.
Great service and delicious food. Entrees are rich and filling. Prices are as expected at a resort, just a bit over normal.
We celebrated Valentine's Day at Bighorn Bistro while vacationing at Keystone. The steak special wonderful! The service was great and they also have a great kids menu. The restaurant has a nice atmosphere for fine dining, but felt comfortable with the kids. I would recommend Bighorn Bistro if you are Keystone!
What a great time we had...how many times have you hugged your server, because you had such a great experience!
Had a great time. Food was delicious!
My only "complaint" is that their website said closed at 7 pm, as did Google maps each time I tried to locate the place. And when I called, it went into Keystone activities which was closed for the night. We almost went elsewhere. Fortunately, we trusted Open Table as being correct and our 7:15 reservation was good. It was not obvious that it was inside the hotel - that would have been helpful to know, logistically. The food was good and we enjoyed the evening
Always have the same thing when dining here. All items seems to be a little out of the box on ingredients so a few items I would never try. The Bison Stroganoff is excellent.
I was looking forward to a nice dinner the last night in Keystone and was rather disappointed. I am surprised by the high reviews. I would put his on the same scale as a TGI Friday's or applebees…but as costly as Flemings or Ruth's Chris steakhouse. We had the ahi tuna taco appetizer that tasted more like fried shell than anything else. We also tried the crab bisque and French onion soup and both were lacking flavor. My husband had the lamb and said it was pretty good, but the rest of our meals were just OK. We did enjoy the live music in the bar area and the restaurant had a nice ambiance.
Great restaurant with great food and service. Excellent beer, wine and cocktails menu with options for everyone's taste
The staff was so sweet to our boys (5 and 3 yo). We had a wonderful time!
Our first dinner in Keystone, and the food was good and the service was great. There was a large party in the dining room, which made it difficult to talk (they were rather loud), but overall, the experience was good.
We've been here twice, two years apart, consistently excellent food, reasonably priced wines, very friendly professional staff. Nice menu, something for everyone.
I feel like it was a very rough night post holiday rush for this restaurant. Must of been short staffed both service and in the kitchen. Special occasion for my son who is a foodie. He was not impressed with freshness, temperature of food.
Lobster bisque was great; the scallop dinner was more like an appetizer with 3 scallops. the salads were awesome and service was very good and attentive; great view too
The service was top notch and the ambiance was very enjoyable. I was very disappointed in the steaks. My wife had the filet and I had the ribeye. She ordered hers medium rare, more towards rare and it was grey. I ordered medium rare and it was okay in the center but the outer sections were medium well. We didn't mention it to them since we were with a large group and didn't want to make a fuss. We probably should have. But when you spend 45 bucks on a ribeye at a nicer restaurant you expect them to know what a proper medium rare is. The French Onion soup was fantastic. That was the only thing anyone raved about. Seemed like others thought their food was decent.
What a wonderful surprise to find such great food in a hotel setting! The menu was varied (2 great vegetarian options -- I chose the gnocchi, which was GREAT) and innovative (the roasted carrots with coriander creme fraiche was an amazing starter). My boyfriend said that the lamb loin was the best he'd ever had -- and he's hard to please (at least when it comes to meat). The ambiance was a little sterile, but in fairness, we were there in off season (late September) -- I imagine it's bustling during ski season. We will definitely go back!
We went here for our anniversary while staying at the attached lodge and we were really happy with the food and service. Would recommend to anyone who was looking for a nice dinning experience but not over the top expensive.
I had the pleasure of eating at this restaurant with several business associates during a conference for the Special District's Association. Both meals were enjoyable with excellent food and service. Our waitress was very familiar with the menu items and made several recommendations for members of our party of 5 that were great.
This is what great dinning service should be!
