Everything we had from drinks, entrees, and dessert was wonderful!
Service was good, but food was over cooked and tasteless. Hard to mess up a ribeye, but they did. Over cooked and salty.
Great food, highly recommend the cheese/meat board! Wow!! Service was amazing. Great experience.
I had been at the Bigelow Grille many times over the years and never had a complaint. It was a long while since I had been there, so on our way to a Cher concert at PPG Arena, our group of ladies made a reservation there and we thoroughly enjoyed our time, our meals, and..... our FABulous cocktails (Blackberry and Champagne Sparklers and Margaritas )! The minute we walked in we were seated immediately and the weather was so nice we had to sit and relax outside on the patio. There was only occasional traffic noise which was even hard to hear as we were engrossed in our chit chat among us! We ordered the mac n cheese with chicken and several different types of flatbread pizzas - all of which were as good as the next! Our server was quick to give us our drinks and served our food hot and we had a lovely time! We will definitely be going back again and again! :)
There's nothing on the menu! All new comers have the same reaction: can I see the full menu? Thoroughly uninteresting.
Been to the grille several times prior to this night, food wasn't up to par on this night, perhaps it was a different cook. Chicken sandwich was very dry and hard too crunchy to enjoy. The mac and cheese was missing some chicken in my opinion.
New menu in last month after several years. Had some new items that were good, but got rid of tater tots, which we always loved. Service was very good and food quality fine.
The food was delicious, service was even better! The high top chairs in the dining area are impractical and should be replaced. A member of my party kept sliding off, couldn’t get comfortable, and almost fell.
Everything about the restaurant was good, with the exception of the menu. If you plan on visiting on an evening when there is a special event, such as a concert, you may want to double check the menu. We went before going to the Kiss concert and they only offered a very very limited menu. Even the regular menu is nowhere near what it used to be. The food was good, and the service was very good, yet it was still just a mediocre dining experience.
Food and service were both very good. Great option for dinner before an event at PPG Center
Food was good but a very limited menu.
We had a private room which worked great for our small group, but otherwise it would have been very noisy out at a regular table...
Although there is a small menu, the food is very good. I had the salmon salad with bulgar and Brussel sprouts and it was delicious and the perfect size portion - not too big.
Great low key spot for good food. My wife is gluten free and found the menu easy to order from. The waiter was kind and suggested a few night spots to check out after dinner!
Limited choices. Saw someone had soup at a later seating - did not know there where items off the menu?
Good food thst we ordered.
Menu online was much bigger than what we given to choose from on the Menu on site. Online was a selection of over 40 choices , it was shrunk to maybe 10 because there was a “new chef”, that’s false advertising to me , also very loud, food was good though! Wouldn’t reccomend until they got their menu together more , I had to get something I normally wouldn’t because of limited choices.
The food was not as good as we hoped u fortunately. Great location close to the arena however the prime rib was very fatty and no accompaniment with it and the crab cake was a single crab cake for the dinner. Was sadly disappointed.
The $15 “brunch” was what you would get at a Holiday Inn Express, oh but they did have a made-to-order station. In the “buffet line” were powdered eggs, cold sausages and bacon, terrible Danish, hard bread for toast.
The homeless lady sitting next to us who kept packing and repacking her bags simply added to the overall experience.
Oh, did I mention it was $15???
Not a good time.
We were there for breakfast. Food was great and so was the service.
Great food, great service. Servers are friendly and the price point is great, for the food you receive.
This is a decent option. Not bad, not great. Convenient for Penguin game nights.
Superb service, delicious entrees, and a comfortable setting. Very convenient for a pre-event meal scheduled for PPG Arena. Easy walking distance from PPG arena parking areas.
Appreciated seating in their “private” dining room.....grand kids thought that was extra special!
Thanks to our waiter who was friendly and welcoming.
We were in Pittsburgh for college visit we arrived late Friday and were able to walk from our hotel to Bigelow for dinner. It was fabulous the host and our waiter Nick were awesome the food perfect .
Everything about the place was satisfactory but not great. Hotel lobby bar standard.
The burgers are good, cooked exactly as requested. The menu is very limited.
Overall, it was a very nice experience. However the amount of food you receive is overpriced. I dont think I will return due to the prices and small portions.
Nice venue a bit pricey but the food was good.
First time visiting and our reservations were earlier in the evening before a concert. service was fast and very efficient. Food was done well with a good presentation. As we lingered, wasting time and chatting the place got busier and busier, however there was still plenty of seating and I noticed that no one waited long.
pretty good food, very good service
Long (but good) story short, the waitress was great, the food was well prepared (taste, appearance, balance), and the price was appropriate.
PrePenguin dinner - food was great. Service could have been a little more attentive. Needed drink refills, condiments.
We had a really great time at Bigelow Grille - fun food and atmosphere. Nice location in the city too. Our waiter Jimmy was top notch - attentive and hilarious.
We booked this restaurant because it was one of the few who had openings in the afternoon prior to a concert. Open table offered the latest opening a 315pm, however most of the tables were still open when we left around 5pm. We ate at the bar, which was staffed by a member of the back office. There was a large wedding at the hotel, and thousands of people in town for a huge concert. The bar was packed, loud and totally understaffed. Drinks were painstakingly measured with a shot glass, one by one. One wonders who was in charge of the staffing schedule on such a busy day.
The menu is NOT vegetarian friendly. My selections was basically tomato soup and tater tots. They food was good, but not "dinner: The soup that my husband ordered was described as a beef/lamb veggie concoction, however it was pretty much vegetable soup. Not a single bit of beef.
I was here at the hotel all week for a conference. The salad was average, but good. The wait staff, although friendly and kind, either put my order into the system incorrectly or the chef didn’t see my simple modifications (dressing on the side, no croutons) They also missed two menu items on the salad: pine nuts and avocado. Very big bummer.
Hit it up on way to Penguin game which is walking distance.
Bri was an excellent wait person and the food was really good. We always enjoy going before hockey games.
My steak was cold. The fries were the best part of my meal. Servers were friendly, though. For $20 I would hope my steak would still be warm. I expected more.
Very small menu. Food was ok, just not as good as expected. Overpriced given the underwhelming taste.
Good location if attending an event at PPG Paints Arena, short walk and convenient parking.
great food, nice drink list...love the "Angry Mule"...we will be back...…...
The food and service is always AWESOME! Great drinks too!!!
