Big Water Grille
Love the entire experience. Have already recommended to some friends That big water grill is a must for dinner
We are in town for a wedding had family members with us. The Big Water Grill was a great dining experience. Highly recommend it.
I loved the fact you had two different proportions when ordering. Our waitress was very professional and gave good suggestions.
First time there. Service was horrible and food extremely average. Extremely slow, forgot to put in our app order, chef's then told waitress our entrees went out but they didn't. Waitress was humiliated and very apologetic. I'll never be back.
Great food , ambiance, and service.
Gorgeous view, great service, outstanding food!
Everything about the evening here was outstanding. Our waiter was excellent, as was the food. It is almost as good as the rival “Grille” restaurant down the road and is an excellent alternative to it. We will definitely return. Definitely one of the top two restaurants in Incline Village.
We all enjoyed our food. I had the salmon and it was cooked well and was tasty. I ordered a glass of wine and it was a good size portion. Our service was excellent. The only negative is that this restaurant is supposed to have a nice view but the shades were closed because of sun. Perhaps an awning would help.
We dine regularly at nice places in Chicago. We are not snobs, but details make a difference. The food, setting and views were excellent as we were told they would be. Now the details.....Our server, Jesse, was top notch. Very engaging and attentive. Friendly and genuinely nice guy. The food tasted great especially because it was not over-salted as many restaurants do. One of my pet peeves is when the busser grabs plates while others at the table are still eating their course. This seems to be common practice and I think it is absolutely rude, making the other person(s) feel rushed. No such problem here. The busser checked but did not approach the table until both of us were finished. Excellent training on management's part. Kudos.
The best things about our dining experience were the view and our waitress Natalie.
Now the negatives: wait assistant “forgot to serve bread” dirty dishes remained on the table, my empanadas were doughy and undercooked, our salmon and sea bass were over salted.
We’ve had great meals there, not this time!
We eat here every year and consider it the best overall restaurant in Incline, NV
We thought the food, ambiance, and view were all just okay. The service we received, however, was outstanding. I think there are better places to try in the area.
Beautiful view. Service thoughtful but had moments of being slow. A bit of a Tahoe throwback and place of local fsvorites
Enjoyable restaurant, great ambiance, special views. Not too crazy about starter menu, limited share plates; food was very good, service too. One of our top restaurants on North Shore. Celebrated with relatives.
Everything I have ordered has been delicious! Loved loved the lettuce wraps and fish tacos!
Fantastic view of Lake Tahoe. Good food, average service. Overall a nice experience.
Four of us Eat on the deck and everyone’s meal was outstanding as was the view.
Pricey. Food was very bland. The Big Water margarita was not good. My companion said it tasted like watered down Capri Sun with tequila. Waitress was great.
Another very good meal at BWG. Busy on the night we were there, and a loud table near us, but didn't ruin our night. Started with cocktails and then onto a nice red wine. Wife had the Caesar salad and said it was garlicky. Then she had the halibut....excellent. I started with veal meatballs and then the wild boar tenderloin....very nice. One thing though, we thought everything was under-salted. Maybe they try to do this for the salt sensitive. Beautiful views and a good meal.
There seemed to be a change in the business throughout the "Village".
Likely not the volume of high end spenders. Perhaps even younger.
The Duck we had was very good, a shame that the vegetables were not nearly as tender.
Wild rice would have been a better side choice.
The food and service was excellent. We had the Ahi Poke for an appetizer and the Halibut for our Maine course.
The restaurant has a beautiful view, food was excellent for the most part. I had the duck breast which was tender and flavorful. Hubby had the venison short ribs, which was delicious and super tender as well. Kids had chicken breast with mashed potatoes, adult sized portions, only wish they put some veggies in it. The only disappointment was the salmon, which was over cooked . The ambience is great, the wait staff very attentive and friendly. Would definitely return and already recommended to friends.
This was our first time here and our party of four thoroughly enjoyed it! The bar was a little loud, but our table was quite comfortable at a corner window with nice views. The food was delicious with smallish portions, not overwhelming huge, so we could enjoy a shared dessert. The chocolate mousse and the lemon cheesecake were a wonderful finish to our meal.
The service was great, food was great, beverages outstanding, we had an upper level table with a fantastic view of the Lake thru the trees.
Nice moderately upscale spot good for a special occasion, with views of Lake Tahoe. Unfortunately during our visit the service wasn’t up to par - waitress was scattered, took forever for our entree’s to come out, and the pasta dish which the waitress told my wife was light on garlic came out loaded with large chunks of garlic and had to be sent back to the kitchen. The place was pretty busy that evening so perhaps the wait staff and kitchen were overwhelmed, which left us underwhelmed on service. Food overall was pretty good. Halibut empanada appetizer was unique and flavorful. Duck breast dish was very good and perfectly cooked.
Great service. Appreciate the smaller portion options and lower corkage fee
The duck was chewy and the halibut was dry. It is noisy I have nothing else to say to write A long enough review
Food was horrible.
Something should be done about the noise. We had to shout to talk. The food though is excellent. We had the salmon and chicken dishes.
Birthday Celebration was the primary reason for this selection. While it was stated in the reservation it was never mentioned by the staff.
Don’t get me wrong, I was not upset with the lack of acknowledgement but if you are going to offer up the reason for selecting the Resturant shouldn’t it be mentioned? It has at other establishments.
Had the short ribs. They were tasty but portion was very small.
Lemon cheesecake was good as was Cesar Salad.
Overall experience was just ok.
Loved every bit of our dinner at Big Water Grill. Service & food were great...the only negative was the blaring sun in the main dining room. We were a bit hot, and it was annoying to have the sun in our eyes! I would definitely go back and ask for seating in a different part of restaurant at that time of day.
This was our 4th or 5th trip to Big Water Grille and the view is still stunning. The service was timely and our wine was a terrific value. I was not over impressed with the food however. My veal meatballs were cold and flavorless. My Mom’s polenta was dry and also lacking in taste. The Poke was fantastic though. I will give it another try because the setting is so spectacular.
The service and food was amazing.
Had a great dinner with a corner table with views of trees and little sliver of Lake Tahoe. Good martinis for 3 and gimlet for one, salads, four delicious different entrees and the blonde brownie dessert was over the top!
Service and needs interior updated!
The view from Big Water Grill is nice and staff are pleasant. We received great service from our waiter.
Unfortunately, we found the food to be disappointing. The salad was nothing special, empanada appetizer was just ok, fish part of fish and chips was over cooked and the pasta special with shrimp was dry.
Awesome birthday dinner.
BWG is one of our absolute favorites in Lake Tahoe! Food, service and setting are outstanding.
Stunning views and friendly service. I was delightfully surprised by the quality of food, greatly improved from the last time I was there almost 10 years ago. Miss the martini menu from the past but the dining definitely made up for it. Homemade empanadas were a delicious appetizer, and the mains of salmon, scallops and duck were also excellent. Nice that they offer a smaller portion of some menu items for those of us with smaller appetites.
