About Big Rock Chop House
Formerly Norman's Eton Street Station, Big Rock Chophouse combines the rustic, casual feel of a mountain lodge with the high-energy of a contemporary club, an eclectic mix unlike any other Metro Detroit dining experience. Big Rock Chophouse is the proud recipient of the prestigious American Culinary Federation’s 2014 Achievement of Excellence Award, an honor that was previously awarded to only three other Michigan restaurants before that year. The restaurant's mouthwatering menu bursts with flavorful recipes centered around enormous, hand-cut aged steaks, delicious lamb chops, and the freshest seafood.

Big Rock Chop House Ratings and Reviews
Honestly when a establishment such as this one changes its menu or staff you can tell the difference immediately . When they constantly have changing staff members or high turnover rate it's not a good look . I was there for specific items and they were nowhere on the menu. Not happy with the new items .
The service was very slow
The waitress had all the daily specials wrong and then charged us for the mistakes
We were seated in a small room with a large group and the noise level was horrible
When we complained nothing was done
The hostess asked if we had a great time and we explained we did not she said
"Too bad " that's it
She had no idea what to say of do if someone was unhappy - total bs motion to ask
This was even screwed up
This used to be a nice restaurant it has gone up in price and down in quality
I will never go back
I would advise others to avoid the restaurant
My husband and I celebrated an early Valentine's Day dinner here, and WOW! Everything was perfect from beginning (calamari!) to end (Bad Day Chocolate cake, which actually made the day great!). We split the wonderful beet salad, my husband had a steak and I had amazing scallops with sweet potato mash and brussell sprouts-this sounds very different, but was just lovely. We sat in the Cascade room which is at the front of the restaurant and was quieter than the main room, which we appreciated. Our server Mary was knowledgeable, friendly and funny. A perfect evening, we'll be back!
It's always a pleasure to dine at Big Rock. When I enter the restaurant, I am always impressed by the decor of the old train station. Staff is professional, covering my needs in a timely manner. The food is wonderful; I've never had a disappointing meal there.
Our experiences at Big Rock are always excellent. We love the chef, and are never disappointed with our choices. The staff always accommodates our requests and our food is always prepared as we like it. Our favorites are the Tuna Tartare, Pasta Bolognese, Tuna with Pepper crust, salmon and the burger. We also love the grain salad. The drinks are generous and the wine choices spectacular and affordable. Our server, Kevin, always chooses amazing bottles for us, and the Manager, Vera, has made the whole operation smooth. This is one of our "Go To" spots, and we've been satisfied customers for years.
Went here for my hubby's birthday with a few friends. I like to try new places and heard the steak frites (bites) were exceptional here. Not the case. The food itself was just ok. That was the commentary from all who dined. As a steak option it would be last on my list of the several others around. I would go back to experience the outdoor dining. I like al fresco style of dining. the server was exceptional I will say.
The ambience and décor was outstanding. I met friends there for a Christmas get-together in the afternoon. The waitstaff was very attentive without hovering, and the food was presented in a very appetizing manner. My only complaint is that the Petite Filet that I ordered for lunch was hardly more than a few bites, albeit delicious. I would definitely return and recommend it to my friends.
