For several months a group of us have been gathering at Big Fish for lunch. So far nothing but positive comments re food, menu selections, friendly competent staff, parking, etc. So far the the Cobb Seafood Salad, and the Crab Louie Salad seem to be the big hits.....oh and the fish and chips and coconut crusted shrimp!! We haven’t been disappointed 🤗
Delicious food in lovely, comfortable surroundings. It was easy to hear each other, which we definitely appreciated.
We eat there often because it is consistently good as far as food, servers and value. It is also quiet so that you can visit easily with you party.
Food and service was great but looking at my bill afterwards they charged me for an extra meal that we did not order. Bill was 50% greater than it should have been.
Consistently good food and great service!
My husband and I had late lunch during the week.. 1:30 ish. Had a bottle of wine. I had Wild Salmon fish and chips husband had halibut. We had Ahi for appetizer.
Great service great food.. we will go back.. no view but cozy quiet booth.
took my wife out to dinner for our 40th anniversary which I noted on the reservation, nothing was said. She ordered scallops which is her favorite and it came with stuff she could not eat, 4 little scallops and some white gunk they called cauliflower puree was on the plate, the scallops were a tad undercook, but due to her health a food restrictions she was sick all night and into the next day. I swear butter was in or on something or cream was added when we stated no butter or cream due to her sensitivity.
I had fish and chips which were very greasy. For the price we paid for two meals with NO extras not even a beverage was way to high. Should have known better when sign on door said only "good" For a food rating. Ruined our evening since we were going to take a walk near the lake but could not due to her stomach.
Friendly capable service, reasonably priced and tasty.
We had dinner to celebrate our granddaughter’s graduation from high school. We were seated right at our reservation time. The menu had enough options to keep us busy reading while our beverages arrived. Each meal was played for optimum visual enjoyment and everything was delicious. My only “complaint” is that we didn’t have room in our happy tummies for dessert.
My family and I came to Big Fish Grill in Kirkland for Father's Day Brunch. I made reservations for 11:15. The host was not attentive, and honestly it seemed perhaps they were short-staffed for such a busy day. We were not spoken to until 11:25 and not seated until 11:30. We watched the host seat walk-in's before us, even after our 11:15 reservation time. We also saw an 11:30 reservation seated before anyone even talked to us. There was no, "I'll be right with you..." no eye contact or anything. After standing at the host's station for 10 minutes, we were acknowledged and told it would be 5 more minutes. My reservation stated we would need a high chair, which was not at the table (nor were we asked upon being greeted). My husband was the one to hunt down the high chair and bring it to the table. The horrible service provided by the host was nearly made up for by our very accommodating and friendly waitress. Our drinks were always promptly refilled. I did not enjoy my meal, but others at the table seemed to like their's. I ordered the bacon portabella and cheddar omelet. The meal was extremely salty and contained just a paper-thin layer of actual egg making up the omelette. The bacon was basically burnt and the mushrooms were thrown in raw. I would not recommend this meal at all. I felt the wait time for food was long, but that is understandable on Father's Day.
I liked that they had a kids menu and a coloring sheet to please my 2 year-old. The noise level was such that I didn't feel self-conscious if my child was a little loud (which might be off-putting to some, but was what we needed with a young kiddo in tow).
We've had excellent experiences at the Woodinville location for dinner, but based on this I would not recommend Kirkland for brunch.
My first thought was that the location was a little odd. Then I walked inside and thought it looked dated... Kind of like it should have senior specials. But I have to say, the service was perfection and the food was amazing. I was so impressed with how well we were treated, how delicious the food was and the pace ( not rushed) in which everything came. I would definitely go back and I tell everyone to try it. The decor needs a little modernization, I think, but what really counts is spot on!
Big fish is always consistently good.
We were there for lunch. The service was great even though they were serving two large groups. But since we were seated near each other the noise level was high.
The large seafood Cobb salad was really large.
Three different fish and chips; we agreed that the batter or breading was too thick.
A smaller group of us have been there for happy hour and were very pleased with the food, value, and noise level in the bar.
Happy hour is everyday with great side orders! Sunday brunch is incredible. Anytime for a meal is great with the healthy foods they serve.
We were seated promptly and the service was excellent. Friendly staff and the food was very good. Highly recommend.
sort of a trusted friend. the grill been in Kirkland for many, many years and has always been a accessible, comfortable spot with good seafood, non seafood options and reasonable prices. That remains true today.
All four of us enjoyed our meals. We all agreed everything we ordered was very tasty. The staff was great. Fun evening.
Frequent diner there. Excellent food and service always. Daniele is especially great. All the wait staff have been excellent.
It took 25 minutes to get a server to our table. We were 5 minutes away from leaving. The food was ok.
All 5 of us thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. Our party included two teenagers and menu choices were better than average for everyone. I had a special scallop dish of the night and it was lovely, excellent sea food and side, beautifully presented. Martini's from the bar were great!
This was our Mother's Day celebration. We have eaten here many times. But today the food took over a half an hour from ordering to service.
We had great service! We wanted to sit outside so our waiter specially made us a table so we could sit in the sun. We were in a rush to attend other meetings so it was nice to have fast service as well!
Loved our lunch. Good food, great service, exceptional value.
Our service was great and rather speedy considering how busy the place was.
We went there for my daughters 35th birthday. She is allergic to dairy. The waitress was very helpful with helping her order from the menu. All of the food was very good and served in a timely manor.
Can walk from home so huge plus, excellent service. Nice menu and quality of food. Relaxed atmosphere. My one and only criticism is the smell as soon as you walk in to the host .. it’s extremely unpleasant. It’s a fish restaurant primarily, but the smell that hits you is quite off putting and easily remedied I’m sure !
Always have excellent service.
We dine often at the Big Fish. Easy and convenient. Fast seating and quick delivery of food. Nice bar and atmosphere.
the food is very good and plenty of choices on the menu
As usual, the meal was very good. I would drive many miles just for their warm bread.
Wide menus selections. Attentive waitstaff, clean restaurant, an asset to the community!
Parking lot was very full with lots of cars waiting for spots.
We have not eaten here in about 10 years. Our expectations were high and we were not disappointed. Halibut fish and chips and Cobb salad were very good.
We ordered alder plank salmon and parmesan crusted halibut cheeks, the salmon was not very flavorful, and the risotto was mushy and bland. I substituted the garlic mashed potatoes for butternut squash risotto, the waiter failed to order the substitution and brought mushy plain risotto. He brought the squash risotto out later in the meal. Water glasses sat empty for long periods of time.
On the up side the parmesan crusted halibut cheeks were Yum-azing. The host was super friendly. Atmosphere was good.
I have been to this location multiple times in the past with great experience but this this time. It was Valentine’s Day and wanted to have a special night out wit my dear sister. First of all I’ve never been on a Valentine’s Day to this restaurant, their fryers were down so you couldn’t order anything that needed frying. I wasn’t able to order more then half of the things on he menu that needed frying because of the fryer, and they had a Valentine’s special menu. Due to that fact I was not able to order from the regular menu my favorite menu item. The Parmesan halibut. I was so sad. I had to go with the grilled salmon which we got and was on the more dry side. I was not happy about the entire menu for such a special holiday and event.
Love the jambalaya, wonderful side salad, great price. I have enjoyed this establishment many times and plan to go again soon.
Not very good. Place was dead on a Friday night (only 5-6 tables used at 7:00 p.m.) which should have been a clue. Food was average. Service was slow, and not friendly. I wouldn't go back.
Salads are wonderful. Waitress was very attentive.
Food and service was terrific. The appetizer table was wonderful, with good choices of fresh fruit. We loved the beingets. The service was quick, and efficient. Our main waiter was very helpful. Love the brunch, and we will be returning on Tuesday evening with another set of friends for the dinner menu.
It was delicious and great service! Loved it!!! I would go there again and again!
Our lunch was delicious and hot. Our waiter was great...attentive but not overly so!
