As usual, the meal was very good. I would drive many miles just for their warm bread.

We have not eaten here in about 10 years. Our expectations were high and we were not disappointed. Halibut fish and chips and Cobb salad were very good.

We ordered alder plank salmon and parmesan crusted halibut cheeks, the salmon was not very flavorful, and the risotto was mushy and bland. I substituted the garlic mashed potatoes for butternut squash risotto, the waiter failed to order the substitution and brought mushy plain risotto. He brought the squash risotto out later in the meal. Water glasses sat empty for long periods of time.

On the up side the parmesan crusted halibut cheeks were Yum-azing. The host was super friendly. Atmosphere was good.

I have been to this location multiple times in the past with great experience but this this time. It was Valentine’s Day and wanted to have a special night out wit my dear sister. First of all I’ve never been on a Valentine’s Day to this restaurant, their fryers were down so you couldn’t order anything that needed frying. I wasn’t able to order more then half of the things on he menu that needed frying because of the fryer, and they had a Valentine’s special menu. Due to that fact I was not able to order from the regular menu my favorite menu item. The Parmesan halibut. I was so sad. I had to go with the grilled salmon which we got and was on the more dry side. I was not happy about the entire menu for such a special holiday and event.

Not very good. Place was dead on a Friday night (only 5-6 tables used at 7:00 p.m.) which should have been a clue. Food was average. Service was slow, and not friendly. I wouldn't go back.

Food and service was terrific. The appetizer table was wonderful, with good choices of fresh fruit. We loved the beingets. The service was quick, and efficient. Our main waiter was very helpful. Love the brunch, and we will be returning on Tuesday evening with another set of friends for the dinner menu.

I especially like and always order the clam chowder. I also think the fish and chips fish is very
good, not too greasy. I like the big roomy booths and prefer that to a table.....depending of course on the number in the group. Last time I was there we were a group of 5 and sat at a table. There was a table of six men whose voices are generally louder and did bother me a bit.
Tables were perhaps too close. Not a big deal however.

Mahi fish tacos returned by 2 in the party for being cold yet over cooked. Manager personally came to apologize and made sure the charges were taken off. We had a group of 12 that they were able to easily accommodate and free parking. That offset the food snafu.

We had brunch. The food and service were very good. We had eggs benedict and fish and chips. The buffet is a continental breakfast which can be purchased alone or is included with an entrée. Beignets and sweet butter in a bread basket were complimentary. The only drawbacks to the Sunday brunch were that we didn't have time to enjoy the buffet before our entrées came, and that the tables didn't have tablecloths.

Not only did our wait person each couple a separate check, she also pre-split the side salads onto 2 separate plates before serving. It was nice to not have to share a salad off 1 plate.

My husband and our friend ordered Halibut Tacos and love them. My other friend and I ordered salmon tacos which were delicious. It took a very long time for our waiter to come back to our table with the check but otherwise the experience was lovely.

Have eaten at Big Fish several times and tend to go back because of the consistently good food and service at a reasonable price. It is also a nice place to carry on a conversation as it not noisy.

I have been going to this restaurant for years. The people are nice and the food is great! I go for everyday eating and special occasions. The Sunday brunch is the best - with the regular order there is an additional buffet side that includes fruits, pastries, specialty breads and cheeses.

Unfortunately the salmon and Halibut were over cooked, and the Halibut was crust on the halibut was burnt. The Jambalaya was okay, and the steaks were goood. But, for a seafood restaurant, it was too pricey for the what you get and the quality.

Great restaurant for Seafood! Always fresh and local. The service is pleasant and prompt. Be sure and ask for lots their warm bread. I had their wild fresh Salmon this evening. They have several excellent main dish salads. I particularly like both the Pear, pecan and blue cheese salad and the Asian won ton salad. There is also a Shrimp and Crab cob salad that my husband particularly likes. They do not ignore the beef eaters. There are several good options.

We were disappointed in the restaurant this time, and we've visited Big Fish Grill several times in the past. First of all, the service was not good, our server couldn't have been less interested in our dining experience, he never came back to offer more hot water for tea, brought one tiny stingy cup of catsup after we asked twice, this to eat with a big hamburger and fries. We never got more. Another sandwich was ordered with the bread to be toasted. It arrived as a grilled, buttery, soggy mess. Ugh.

Behavior and the attitude of the manager not only is unpleasant, but seems indifferent and so unconcerned to the point one feels being there is imposing on him. Upon leaving and trying to share our appreciation for our nice server with the manager, we received a sneer and a turned back from him.

Overall, this is a solid option for a business lunch or happy hour. It's right off 520, so quick in and out. Food is good, service is impeccable. Parking is easy and ample. A nice alternative to driving into downtown Bellevue or Kirkland. Just be aware the crowd skews a bit senior, so gets a little noisy! For this reason, I sometimes ask to be seated in the bar. The interior, while clean and comfortable, could use an update to be more appealing to the younger set. Then again, maybe they don't want to ... ;)

Went there again for a good lunch....ordered salads and a turkey bacon avocado sandwich which was about 15 dollars..should have photographed but complained about the meat.. a couple strips bacon and 2 Oscar Meyer quality cold cuts.. when we brought it to the attention we were informed they switched to a more expensive meat and it weighed the same.... Horrible to see such a great Mainstay go so downhill so quickly..... Now more much more interested in making money than serving a quality food product but the wait staff is great and the deck is very nice

Went for brunch w/a friend who LOVES beignets - - she said they were as good as any she's had in her travels. { : Pastry/fruit table was OK though wish they'd had some of our seasonal berries; however, what we ordered was beautifully prepared and delicious. I'd give our server, Jason R., a 10+++ rating - very pleasant, terrific service and we didn't feel rushed. A very pleasant experience.

We have dined here many times. The food is always fresh, well prepared and usually local. The server is always available, but not hovering. Their warm sour dough bread is a real treat. For lunch I always order one of their great salads. Desserts, if you can afford the calories, are well done. My first choice is the Marian berry cobble with ice cream . This is large enough to share with 2 or 3 friends.

Seafood was fresh and the clam chowder is a delicious must-order. However, the flavors of the seafood entrees were somewhat disappointing. The stuffed prawns sounded exceptional and unique on the menu but the flavors were identical to any "stuffed" seafood entree anywhere. The Parmesan Crusted Alaskan Halibut special (at market price) sounded like a solid staple and notably a customer favorite by our server, but it was extremely plain in flavor and it left us thinking that the cheaper fish and chips may have been a better option. Again, the fish was fresh, but we were hoping for an exceptional seafood experience based on the reviews and name of the establishment to warrant our driving over from Seattle.

Big Fish is a fine place to eat local, fresh seafood. The Wild Salmon is particularly nicely done, either in a salad or as an entree. However, there are both meat and vegetarian dishes on the menu. The service is always non obtrusive but attentive. Their desserts are sublime and always very fresh.
