It took 1 hour to get our meal
Food was good
server (rapport) . . .less than expected for a nice restaurant
We sat in the lounge and found that everything was excellent as always. I love going to this restaurant. The food is well prepared and the service very attentive.
That’s is one of our favorite restaurants we always enjoy when we dine here. The service and servers are very nice and the food is always excellent. We enjoy the oysters entre and the coconut prawns very delicious. Another great experience tonight.
First time there, very pleasant. Reported a wobbly table. (loose screws under tabletop) Hope it gets fixed!
The place was busy, an older crowd of dinners, Valentines Day and all. Our server seemed frazzled. Our dinner was slow in coming. The appetizer was almost cold. The next time we saw our server to ask about the appetizer she was delivering our meals. Our meals were mediocre, crusted fish and surf and turf, with salads and a couple of drinks. Start to finish the process was just over two hours. The out the door total was $200 after a modest tip. Not the meal I expected for the money paid. We'll be looking for other places to eat next time.
Our server was great. He recommended very suitable drinks for each of us, and checked back on us to make sure the taste of the drinks. He is very pleasant to talk with.
Good food, great service, a decent dining room. Definitely a seafood venue...prime rib was just okay. Fish and chips awesome. Scallops really tasty.
Above the bar I'd expect from a chain restaurant (think Red Lobster), not quite high-end (think SeaStar), but sits in a nice, affordable sweet spot with pretty good food and a nice experience.
Good food, quiet ambience. Dined on a Saturday mid-afternoon. Service was great and restaurant itself is comfortable.
My group has been meeting here for 11 years (before it was the Big Fish). We have always gotten good food, and if something was wrong it was taken care of right away. Cindy is usually our server abd she is excellent!
Portions are small compared to price and my deep fried halibut was too deep fried and had too much breading.
I took a few ladies to lunch Friday at your restaurant and we all enjoyed it very much. Loved the food, service and our time together. Thank you.
Our gathering of 6 women for a 90th birthday celebration was a pleasurable experience. The food was delicious, attractively presented, and the round table was good for conversation. Our waiter was very hospitable, brought out the birthday cake right on time.
Our waiter was terrific. We enjoyed the atmosphere. Our meal was superb.
Feel like home👍
We ordered steamer clams as an appetizer and never received them. I ordered scallops and they arrived at room temp. My husband had prime rib with scallops and prime rib arrived without scallops. Let waiter know and he said they just forgot them at the window. At least my husband's scallops were hot.
I would not recommend this place and will not visit again.
Hi Deedra, Thank you for taking the time to let us know of your experience. Certainly not the standard we are striving to achieve towards our guest experience. If you are so inclined, I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you regarding your visit. Sincerely, Todd 425-827-2722
Our server was really good!
The restaurant needs to be remodeled.
It had a funny smell to it when we arrived.
Food was good.
Really liked that it was quiet so we could all talk and hear each other.
We had a wonderful evening. Our waiter was courteous and patient as we were visiting with good friends and slow to order. Big Fish is one of our favorite places.
Great service, good food but very loud atmosphere.
Had a great time. Service was excellent, as was the food. The dynamite shrimp is one of our favorites.
I have been here several times and have always been pleased. The food is excellent, the service is good, and it is easy to carry on a conversation because there are no loud noises,
I see I made an error in making reservations online. It reserved for 9:45 PM and I thought I was making brunch reservations for 9:45 AM. It all worked out though! Always enjoy coming to Big Fish in Kirkland.
Our server was assigned another table with a large group of people so was pulled away from our table and to wait on them. Tyler was apologetic and twice I pointed out to other employees who wandered by our table that we felt abandoned. It is hard to understand why the manager or someone above Tyler didn't pick up on our situation.
Dinner with friends
This is the type of restaurant you go to - when you just want to sit and let someone else make food for you.
We took my (late 70's-aged) parents. For them, it was just fine - because the food was extremely plain, with very little seasoning or flavor. But for the rest of the family, we all found our food to be extremely tasteless. The "Balsamic Dressing" on the chicken, pecan dressing was more olive oil than anything. The only flavor was the bleu cheese crumbles. My husband had coconut prawns w/ rice, but said the rice was nearly flavorless.
We sat at 5pm and there were only a few people there. Our server came by to take our order, but she didn't return for over 15 minutes. The busboy brought us bread & refilled water. She didn't even bring us our entrees. My husband had to get up to find her - to ask her for something else. She was wandering around the dining room now and then, but never checked in on our table.
I would highly suggest this place for older people who want a very slow, quiet place to dine and have food without any surprise spice. It feels like a Denny's for seafood. It was overall disappointing and we won't be going back again... unless my parents come back into town and request it!
Just the average food and menu. We started in the bar and the bartender was not very helpful. Very rushed.
Food’s not great. Ambiance is just ok. Brunch was all pre-packaged pastries.
Very busy long waiting
Presentation was excellent. Food was quite good. The only negative for the whole meal was a slightly undercooked artichoke.
Big Fish has become our go to restaurant on the eastside. Great service, super friendly staff that is also very responsive and efficient. Big fish has a great bar with fun bartenders. One time they even had a bartender who was able to do a great rendition of the Jersey Boys, Sherry. I'll match their steaks with any restaurant, as good as it gets. They have a great and varied menu, my favorite being the pan fried oysters. The sides and salads are great. You can't go wrong with this place.
Brunch buffet was very good, however, missed having bignets offered. Reservation worked perfect; escourted to table immediately. The dinning areas are getting close to needing a bit of a refresh.
The blackened grilled halibut tacos and fresh copper river salmon dishes were both perfect and absolutely delicious.
We really enjoyed our meal and the ambiance. It was very quiet. We could hear each other talk. The food was delicious. The service was friendly. We will be back.
Good dinner while visiting Kirkland. Food was good, but because of where we were seated we seemed to be ignored at times. Otherwise, good.
I found the food to be just so so, barely 2 steps above Dennys ,but a LOT more expensive. The wait persons were sometimes just on the verge of not pleasant. I was disappointed
I had been to Big Fish in Bothell a few years ago & found the food better, the ambiance more pleasant.
I requested a to go box prior to eating & found an item missing, avocado! Did they put it on someone else's plate?
Mother's Day was a bit crowded, so I assume that was the reason for the less than outstanding service. But we had a good time and it was a overall pleasant.
Mother’s Day brunch! Always very good, disappointed they changed the French toast.
