Big Fish Grill-Kirkland
guest’s needs and desires.” We pride ourselves in customer service with a personal touch and when a guest dines with us we want them to feel as though they are in our home.
I found the food to be just so so, barely 2 steps above Dennys ,but a LOT more expensive. The wait persons were sometimes just on the verge of not pleasant. I was disappointed
I had been to Big Fish in Bothell a few years ago & found the food better, the ambiance more pleasant.
I requested a to go box prior to eating & found an item missing, avocado! Did they put it on someone else's plate?
Mother's Day was a bit crowded, so I assume that was the reason for the less than outstanding service. But we had a good time and it was a overall pleasant.
Mother’s Day brunch! Always very good, disappointed they changed the French toast.
First of all, this isn’t a 4.5 star place. Someone’s pumping up fake reviews. The professionalism at this restaurant would give me a heart attack as an owner. The food was okay to good but they need some upkeep on the inside of the restaurant, a new hostess and more waiters and less bodies standing around.......basically new management
Great food and service as always. Menu choices are great!
The food was great. We weren’t rushed to leave which gave us a chance to visit with friends we only see occasionally.
Our group of 6 has eaten at the Big Fish for many years. It was a 70th birthday celebration. We checked ahead about bringing in our own cake. The were very helpful in putting in candles and lighting them for a nice presentation. All our dinners were great.
First time trying this restaurant. My seafood jambalaya was fantastic. My husband's steak was so so. The only real downfall of the restaurant is that is looks so outdated and OLD. When we walked in everyone looked over 70. If I go back I will sit in the bar. Good food, bad ambiance, especially for a younger crowd.
We enjoyed our meal and atmosphere. Jason was great.
Food is always good. Clam Chowder among best around. Service generally good. Prices fair. Eat there often. Never disappointed.
My family and I love this restaurant. The food is always great, the service is excellent, the décor is just right as is the location. Tyler, the table attendant is always wonderful, pleasant, diligent, funny, and very amiable. So is everyone else there. Thank you for a great experience.
we had ice tea but never got the sweeteners at our table. as 8 of us were meeting for lunch discussions had to ask twice to get the overhead speaker turned off. the food was very good and the servers are very friendly and informative. will definitely be holding a meeting there again. we have been eating at the Big Fish in Kirkland and Woodinville for years.
Food is average at best. Won’t be going back.
Haven't been to the FISH in a long while. Still the best dining experience around these parts. Had a leisurely lunch with an old friend. Plan to return often. Menu (Cobb Salad) a special favorite. Still great. Creme Brûlée great as well.
Fish Fish Fish. Order fish, especially salmon and halibut. Good value for fish and nice low noise level.♥️
Birthday dinner, service was very very slow. Food was delicious.
Good restaurant but too chain-like for my tastes. For the money, I wouldn't recommend or return. Service was good and friendly. Food was decent. Manila Clams were very good.
We had an excellent evening. The food was delicious from the fried calamari and crabcakes, to the parmesan encrusted halibut. Our waiter was on point with anything we needed.Great place to meet friends.Only thing missing, blender for drinks
Food quality was generally very poor. To be specific, both my daughter (adult) and I ordered an omelette — different fillings but rolled Into the same dry, pancake shaped product that tasted as though it come precooked from a food service company. The stringy crab in mine tasted as though it had been previously frozen or pulled from a can. The Bloody Mary was acceptable, spicy and garnished with green olives and a celery stick.
We went to BIg Fish because it was simply on the way to somewhere we needed to be. We were planning to grab a quick bite and didn't expect much. We were VERY pleasantly surprised. The service, food and ambiance was excellent. It was better than some of our planned "date nights". Terrific. Thank you!!
I would have given this review five stars if the young server had not continuously called us girls. I am 71 and my dining companion is 45. Please train him better!! Thanks
We'r arrived at 12:45 on a Friday in December, really busy time. Everyone took great care to make sure that, although they were really busy, we had a great experience. Love the seafood Cobb salad.
Daniella took great care of us. Wild salmon was delicious.
We WILL be back.
Great place and food...!
Ordered a sandwich and cup of clam chowder. Chowder was good sandwich was average. Service was excellent and right on top of making sure our water and coffee was always filled and fresh.
They have marked gluten free items on their menu. That is why we went. Been there twice with no gluten issues.
Always consistent quality and good service in a nautical theme
We go to The Big Fish every year for our anniversary. The food is great, and the service is always excellent. We enjoyed having Tyler as our server. He was fun, attentive, and great to talk to. Everyone there was very courteous and pleasant. Great experience. Thank you!
For several months a group of us have been gathering at Big Fish for lunch. So far nothing but positive comments re food, menu selections, friendly competent staff, parking, etc. So far the the Cobb Seafood Salad, and the Crab Louie Salad seem to be the big hits.....oh and the fish and chips and coconut crusted shrimp!! We haven’t been disappointed 🤗
Delicious food in lovely, comfortable surroundings. It was easy to hear each other, which we definitely appreciated.
We eat there often because it is consistently good as far as food, servers and value. It is also quiet so that you can visit easily with you party.
Food and service was great but looking at my bill afterwards they charged me for an extra meal that we did not order. Bill was 50% greater than it should have been.
Consistently good food and great service!
My husband and I had late lunch during the week.. 1:30 ish. Had a bottle of wine. I had Wild Salmon fish and chips husband had halibut. We had Ahi for appetizer.
Great service great food.. we will go back.. no view but cozy quiet booth.
took my wife out to dinner for our 40th anniversary which I noted on the reservation, nothing was said. She ordered scallops which is her favorite and it came with stuff she could not eat, 4 little scallops and some white gunk they called cauliflower puree was on the plate, the scallops were a tad undercook, but due to her health a food restrictions she was sick all night and into the next day. I swear butter was in or on something or cream was added when we stated no butter or cream due to her sensitivity.
I had fish and chips which were very greasy. For the price we paid for two meals with NO extras not even a beverage was way to high. Should have known better when sign on door said only "good" For a food rating. Ruined our evening since we were going to take a walk near the lake but could not due to her stomach.
Friendly capable service, reasonably priced and tasty.
We had dinner to celebrate our granddaughter’s graduation from high school. We were seated right at our reservation time. The menu had enough options to keep us busy reading while our beverages arrived. Each meal was played for optimum visual enjoyment and everything was delicious. My only “complaint” is that we didn’t have room in our happy tummies for dessert.
My family and I came to Big Fish Grill in Kirkland for Father's Day Brunch. I made reservations for 11:15. The host was not attentive, and honestly it seemed perhaps they were short-staffed for such a busy day. We were not spoken to until 11:25 and not seated until 11:30. We watched the host seat walk-in's before us, even after our 11:15 reservation time. We also saw an 11:30 reservation seated before anyone even talked to us. There was no, "I'll be right with you..." no eye contact or anything. After standing at the host's station for 10 minutes, we were acknowledged and told it would be 5 more minutes. My reservation stated we would need a high chair, which was not at the table (nor were we asked upon being greeted). My husband was the one to hunt down the high chair and bring it to the table. The horrible service provided by the host was nearly made up for by our very accommodating and friendly waitress. Our drinks were always promptly refilled. I did not enjoy my meal, but others at the table seemed to like their's. I ordered the bacon portabella and cheddar omelet. The meal was extremely salty and contained just a paper-thin layer of actual egg making up the omelette. The bacon was basically burnt and the mushrooms were thrown in raw. I would not recommend this meal at all. I felt the wait time for food was long, but that is understandable on Father's Day.
I liked that they had a kids menu and a coloring sheet to please my 2 year-old. The noise level was such that I didn't feel self-conscious if my child was a little loud (which might be off-putting to some, but was what we needed with a young kiddo in tow).
We've had excellent experiences at the Woodinville location for dinner, but based on this I would not recommend Kirkland for brunch.
My first thought was that the location was a little odd. Then I walked inside and thought it looked dated... Kind of like it should have senior specials. But I have to say, the service was perfection and the food was amazing. I was so impressed with how well we were treated, how delicious the food was and the pace ( not rushed) in which everything came. I would definitely go back and I tell everyone to try it. The decor needs a little modernization, I think, but what really counts is spot on!
