Food was terrible. The oysters were certainly not fresh, crab claws were dry, shrimp and alligator were average at best. Overall just very poor food for the cost.

I was disappointed by this restaurant because it was so highly recommended. First, it had a rating of #1 sea food restaurant in Orlando. Second, my boyfriend and I had been recommended by the co-owner of the location to sign up for their loyalty program to get 50% off for their quarterly promotion. It sounded like a good enough deal for us to sign up. We were excited to try it out. However, when we went there, the menu was not what we expected. We ordered a soup that was priced at $38.00, and it wasn't anything special. We ordered another dish that had a fried snapper and paella. However, the fish did not have any flavor or spices on it at all. It was tasteless.
I will say that the service was very professional and attentive there. Shout out to our server, Craig. He was gracious and made sure that we were well taken care of.

So good as usual. We sat outside And watched the music and people. The bartender and servers gave us just enough attention. The food was excellent. Had the usual Ahi Tuna which was perfect.

Was a large group of businesses men at a large table we were sat near them and there were alot of empty tables and other rooms to be sat at this party was loud yelling and obnoxious staff did nothing to try and calm them. Also we asked server to get us sweet tea. However they do not have sweet tea server put in simple syrup to try and sweeten rather than state dont have sweet tea.

Server was dismissive and slow.

Food was good I enjoyed the food atmosphere was horrible.

After my last review about poor service, I was contacted by management and assured it was an anomaly and asked to give them another chance. All 4 of us returned. It was so different from our last experience. Service was impeccable, server Jamie was terrific and helped in ordering and answered our questions. Just like all the other times we visited before. The dish I had, the Blackened Shrimp and Scallops 'Orleans was terrific. Everyone commented on how much better this experience was. We WILL return!

Was surprised how noisy restaurant was and prices - $16 for a smaller crab cake appetizer.
Disappointed in long wait for food that was mediocre - don’t order surf and turf -$28 for small and poor cut of meat and a 3 inch lobster. Wife’s shrimp scampi was really good though, but we won’t return

The food was excellent! The server was outstanding. He catered to us like we were his only customers. We never felt rushed to finish our meal and desserts! The prices were equivalent to any other restaurant of this caliber. A definite place to return to when we visit Orlando again. All in all a great dining experience!

Everything was absolutely perfect. Melody did a fantastic job explaining and describing the different dishes. The food is absolutely perfect, the Blue Crab Crusted Grouper was cooked to perfection and melted in your mouth. The flavor was perfect, just the right amount of richness. I highly recommend coming here, never did we feel rushed, nor did we ever feel like we were ever waiting for anything. If you enjoy Bourbon, then definitely go for The Big Fin, it was mixed fantastic. The lobster mac-n-cheese was excellent, big fresh chunks of buttery lobster, perfect bacon, excellent appetizer to share. Already thinking about what I want to try next time I come.

We sat outside at the bar and had a cocktail before dinner. The cocktails were well made and the bar tender was enjoyable. The restaurant has a fun inviting atmosphere. The grilled oysters were to die for; get extra bread for the sauce. We had the grouper with blue crab, the red fish and the swordfish filet. All were excellent, it was hard to pick our favorite. But if I was to choose one, I would go with the swordfish. Our waiter was spot on. He let us take our time and enjoy our evening at our own pace.

Server was informative and made nice entree recommendations. Cheerful atmosphere. We were out of towners coming from a hotel that provided a card for a chefs sampling. They brought us tuna poke (raw tuna) which I know for sushi lovers is a treat but we advised the waiter we do not eat raw fish. He took it back with no offer to substitute or bring a different sampling. I thought he could have offered another option. Also the jumbo stone crab for $36 arrived looking a lot smaller than those on display. It was tasty but not worth the money. My Cajun shrimp entree was delicious and my wife had the fish and chips which was average.

The BEST Alaskan King crab I have eaten! Extremely fresh and tender. Worth every penny!

Ambiance was cozy, great classic rock selection.

Kudos to George, the waiter. Excelent service nas a great smile!

Normally I'd give this place great marks... but NOT this time. We had a 'horrible' table (even with a reservation). Yes, it was crowded and we were seated promptly, and their was large parties, but being seated in a small alcove behind the bar and in from of the outdoor bar sort of left us out of the mainstream, and getting a waiter was difficult. It might have even been the bar tender who waited on us. Whoever he was, he did disappear for long time. Food is delivered with a non-waiter so getting the food wasn't the problem. One in our party of 4 ordered the Escargot and I ordered the seafood Bisque. The Escargot was cold and my soup was cool on the top but mixing it made it OK. It took a long time to get the waiter to come to our table. Busboy's ignored us flagging them down and finally someone from the bar outside had come in and saw us waving. Said he'd take care of the Escargot. When it arrived it was warm but the re-heating basically burned off the garlic taste and it was very bland... again, trying to find the waiter, but this time he was by the bar. He apologized and it was decided to forget about it as our Entree's were coming out very soon. Food was good and once we were finished it took some time for the waiter to come by to clean the table and ask if we wanted dessert? We said yes and he promptly got us menu's and disappeared. After almost 30 minutes he'd not come back. Eventually waved down another waiter and he was going to take out orders, but we declined as we had been seated so long. He went off, found out waiter who arrived with out bill.

I have eaten here MANY MANY times, so this time I'd call the service an anomaly. Maybe the table was for the bar, I don't know... I do know I'll never accept on of those 4 tables again.

Again, the reason for the poor review is solely the waiter's service.

Our first time at Big Fin. We're in town for a big convention. Party of 6. Everyone enjoyed their meal and the service was good overall. Our server was friendly and regular checked in to see if we needed anything.

I had Alligator Piccatta; an unusual dish the server said was not very popular. It was well prepared and the sauce provide for a unique and enjoyable taste. Instead of potatoes, I had the crawfish grits, which was outstanding! The calamari was great and the bacon wrapped figs as appetizers were awesome. Highly recommended. It is rated 3 $ for price.

This was second time eating st Big Fins. Stumbled across this restaurant last year while vacationing in the area. Was very disappointed in our overall experience compared to the first time I ate there. Do not know if I would return to this restaurant.
