Service was the worst ever. We were rushed, server didn’t check back. More worried about clearing the table and doing her side work. 8:45 reservation practically pushed out by 9:50. Felt like Olive Garden based on service. If you want to be fine dining, you have to behave like it.
Our server was very friendly and knowledgeable. Good variety in the menu. Enjoyed all the food and the berry mojito was excellent. Enjoyed the flourless chocolate cake too.
Very nice restaurant. The service was excellent. Our waiter was quite attentive and considerate. The food is excellent, the signature swordfish is amazing.
Our second time and brought our son and his fiance. We all enjoyed everything we ordered. Our waiter Ray was great. Will be back again.
Waiter was excellent. A bit pricy but food was also good
Food and service is always excellent. I gave it 3 stars because it was disappointing to have a cork fee of $25. The most I’ve ever paid on restaurant row is $15.
Food was fantastic. Our server Ryan was the best. We could make changes and suggestions to our entrees and it was no problem at all. The wine selection was extensive and the quality of the food was superb.
Food was not great quality...not worth the price. Party of 12 and nearly everyone was disappointed with their dish.
The food was incredible, no complaints with anyone's meals.
We love Big Fin! My husband and I eat there on a regular basis and the food and services are always great! You can get fancy and dine inside for a special occasion or business meeting or be casual and eat outside at the bar/patio. If you’re not a seafood lover they have plenty of other land based options as well!
I hate green beans that are not cooked properly. Ours were raw. The crab cakes were a poor imitation of a Maryland style crab cake. Loved the raw oysters and the lobster tail was okay but all in all the food is overpriced. Wine prices for wine by the glass is way over priced $10 a glass for a Kendall Jackson chardonnay is over the top. I can buy this wine at ABC for 12 bucks retail. The service however was excellent .Our server was right on top of everything and not obtrusive. Lower your prices especially on wine and find a way to make a decent crab cake. AND COOK THE GREEN BEANS!
We came to Big Fin for the happy hour horderves and a few drinks. We were able to sit outside and the view was nice. Staff was very friendly.
Our first experience in January was incredible. Unfortunately our last experience was not. We had asked for steamed crab and it was initially brought out cold. Our waiter said he hit the wrong button on the screen. No biggie. All of our food was cold,(mashed potatoes, green beans, alligator,etc... The food was not nearly as good as our first experience. Our waiter then left us for another waiter and as we were walking out he Saw us turned his back and ignored us as we walked right by him. The ladie waitress was very nice. It’s unfortunate that we brought our daughter for this experience and spent $175.
Had dinner with some of my staff and staff from another business. The food was great and the restaurant staff took good care of our group. Love going to Big Fin whenever in town!
Food was great and the alligator appetizer was unbelievable!
Overpriced, average food. Very disappointed in the meal especially for the prices they charge. You're better off going to Red Lobster.
I have been to Big Fin several times and always had a good experience until this time. Service was bad. We waited quite awhile for our meals to arrive, and found out later that the server had neglected to put our entrée order in after he served our appetizers, because he was attending to a large party! We even had to wait to get our bill. And, because we were a party of 6, the 18% tip was automatically included. I was embarrassed because I had chosen the restaurant. Not sure when I'll go back.
Service was excellent and the food was outstanding
As usual, everything was great! Roberto was our waiter and he did an outstanding job!! Can't wait to go back!!
Great seafood and quality of food, probably one of the best seafood spots . Services wasn’t amazing . Would def go back.
Been here before.A little pricey but the food was delish.Service with our waiter Jerry was superb
Our first time here. The calamari was the best. Our waiter Mat took care of all we wanted in a very courteous manner. We will go back
We chose to have an assortment of appetizers which was perfect because we were able to sample so many excellent dishes.
Nice place lots to pick from
This was a great expieriance , and if you go sit outside it was amazing !!! Swordfish was the best I have ever had
High end seafood
Handled food allergies with concern and options
The ambience is really nice. The service is superb, their servers actually wait to serve you. A rare thing in this day and age.
Seafood selection was outstanding! The service provided by Mo and his staff was top notch. I highly recommend the Big Fin Kitchen to anyone.
Awesome awesome food! Our servers Ray and Tim fabulous! We will eat here again soon.
They had no stone crab or cold water oysters. Sad.
The food quality and service is always top notch. Love the happy hour menu.
My husband and enjoyed our dinner. Everything and everyone was amazing.
We had a great meal again! Excellent service and recommendations- all very good as expected. A good selection on the menu.
Well, my husband had the crab grouper dish and like it very much, but their signature tails and shells wasn’t very good. I asked for it steamed but not the oysters. Well, the oysters came out luke warm with no hot sauce. The lobster tail, large claw and shrimp were overcooked. I mean, this is their specialty so you would think they could do better. Also, I ordered a salad that never appeared. They thought giving us a small free desert would fix that. But honestly, as a diabetic, the desert did nothing for me. But again, my husband enjoyed it. I wouldn’t go back here. I think that if you specialty is seafood, you should know how to cook and serve it.
I went to Big Fin for my Birthday. I requested a menu item that they no longer serve in my reservation request. The chef went out of his way to make it for me. It was amazing that was all I wanted for my birthday. Thank you Big Fin ,my waitress Victoria, and a special thank you to the chef for making my birthday wishes come true.
Won’t be back for quite a while
Big Fin Seafood Kitchen is one of our favorite restaurants because of consistent quality and service. Server Jerry was Excellent and I hope we get him again! My only complaint was the portion size of the crab crusted grouper was much smaller than I’ve had in the past. It was still delicious but I always took home leftovers. At $49, I think at least an 8 ounce filet is warranted.
Everytime we eat at this great restaurant we talk about the next time to go, and start planning it that night.
Great job as always.
Food was amazing - had the Surf and Surf and Crab Encrusted Grouper. Hard to beat! Service/server was a bit rushed - it was where I chose to go for my birthday dinner and I told the waiter and had noted it in my reservation in Open Table, but I guess it was missed. Most upscale restaurants will send a simple, complimentary birthday dessert for the table to share, but it wasn't mentioned. Then the check came and the corkage fee for a bottle of wine was more than what was quoted over the phone, so had to deal with that hassle. Owner/Executive Chef and Manager were gracious. Sadly, as wonderful as the food was, I won't go back. It's not just about the food...it's about the total experience. I'm a local resident in Orlando - live only a couple of miles from the restaurant - so I'm sure I won't be missed because there are a lot of tourists and conventioneers to replace me. If the total experience isn't your thing, you'll be fine. Great food.
