Great atmosphere . Plenty of choice very happy with meal and service
As expected, busy but service was still decent and food & drinks all good.
I've been a Big Easy fan for a number of years. Must say that my most recent trip was a little disappointing, and the food seems to have fallen short of where it was. The Voodoo wings just weren't that spicy and the sauce looks like it had just been slapped on, rather than marinated for a significant amount of time, as they used to big. Ribs were fine, but again, not quite the fall off the bone succulent as they used to be. Absolutely fine meal, great venue and location, just not the standard it once was.
I love this restaurant and often visit when I’m in London but this is the 2nd time In a row I’ve been and the food was not great. Last time I visited my steak was so over cooked and this visit my burger was burnt and inedible. I didn’t complain as we were in a hurry and didn’t have time to wait for another one. My friend very much enjoyed her ribs. I left hungry and disappointed. Won’t go to the Covent Garden one as it’s just AWFUL in there. Not sure I’ll be coming back here in a rush. Gutted as I used to love this place!
We went to big east two days ago , it wasn’t our first time to go but we found that there is a change in the menu they don’t serve chips with the meal anymore. Second I’ve got a dry lemon (not fresh ) with my lobster roll and my son got squashed tomato in the salad (side of his half lobster ) . Hope this helps improve the service later .
Quite unusual, but for the second time in a week my wife and I dined at Kings Road. It was our last night in town before returning to Denmark, and we felt like spoiling ourselves. So we did!
I always use to come here when I was younger. It’s still amazing, food is tasty. But I waited nearly 45mins just for my drink.
Brilliant service, good portion food. Quality food reasonable priced. Definitely booking again
The worst customer service I’ve had in any country I my life, absolute joke! And food is nothing like it used to be...
It’s always a pleasure to be here. This time it was just my wife and, but we have been here with friends many times - and will again!
This place used to be a great option but it has gone severely downhill. We arrived early for our 3pm lunch so decided to sit at the bar whisky we waited. We waited over 15 minutes to be served as there was just one bar tender arranging drinks for the whole venue. At no point did any staff come to help out. Maybe they were short staffed but the wait was embarrassing especially as I had recommended the place to friends from outside London. When we were seated we got a good waiter but again waited over 15 mins from drinks. The ribs were sub standard. A packet recently bought from Sainsbury’s had more meat on them! So I will not be going back. Mostly uninterested staff looking at their phones instead of helping at the bar during busy times. Not good
The bottomless brunch is really good value. All the food is cooked well, coleslaw was nice and fresh.
The meats tasted good, some parts tasted reheated (different temperatures)
My partner enjoyed the lobster mac and cheese. I had the big pig grill thing which was good.
On the whole, ingredients tasted fresh and well cooked. Place is nice and clean, staff friendly, Prosecco glasses are small so had to keep asking to top up the glass, would have been easier for a bottle to be on the table.
Amazing restaurant with excellent food and outstanding service.
A fantastic menu in a lively vibrant location.
The food was superb and the service absolutely exemplary.
If I have a single criticism it is that they are victims of their own success as the place is so crowded!! A little more space between the tables would be nice, but I guess that helps the atmosphere.
I don't know for sure but I would guess it is very difficult to just turn up and get in... you really need to book in advance... but I promise you would be disappointed. A fabulous dinner!!
Great customer service from the waiters and the food was great!
Haven't been in a few years and was disappointed with what I ordered. Hush puppies were soggy with grease, fried shrimp breading was also soggy and fell off. BBQ beans had too many additives, nothing like Texas bbq beans. Husband had surf and turf and thought it was lovely. Service was poor and disorganised.
Food was good. Took ages for us to be seated.
Booked for 5pm didn’t sit down until 6pm.
On arrival I waiting for about 5-10 mins before being greeted. I guess the hostess was down stairs but maybe they should make provisions when that be the case. The air con was on super high. I mean it’s real cold outside. Whenever I’ve gone out for meals especially if it was busy. A waitress always at least asks if you’d like a drink at least in the first few mins of being seated. Yh this never happened. About 15mins later my partner had to get the attention of a member of staff to take our food order. We ordered a starter and main course. With some drinks. The drinks came followed by the starter 20-25 mins later which was very disappointing but in all fairness that could be on my behalf as I should have questioned how the popcorn shrimp came so I can take ownership for that. There was live entertainment but as it’s quite small downstairs it was a lil too loud. Not really entertaining as such more of an irritation because we could barely hear each in conversation. As we waited for our meal we noticed other customers coming in and customers getting restless for there bills. We began to clock watch. 20mins went by, 30 mins, 40 mins 50 mins. Started to become a lil irritated only to notice a table who had arrived after us was given there food before us. At this point we no longer wanted to eat. It’s only at this point the waiter realized we were still yet to receive our food and said one min guys & he was gonna rush thru our order. Yh no we’re definitely over eating here at this point. I really think he felt he was doing us a favour. There level of attentiveness was absolutely poor.
Since the revamp and the prices going up it's not as good as it used to be.
Friendly staff and good service. Food was great. Where we sat there was cold air coming through somewhere which made it uncomfortable don’t think it was the aircon. Overall, we enjoyed the food and definitely would recommend it.
As a Family we love the Big Easy, every time we go we have great service and Fantastic food; always worth the Journey.
The manager was very friendly and checked up on us. The staff were very attentive and kid to us all.
Was told I can not use my app in store to purchase to later find out I could!
My was lovely although my ribs were very burnt but replaced within 10 mins. The toilets were appalling considering food is prepared just next door to the toilets! No tissue was annoying. The staff however were super friendly especially new manager. Hygiene needs to be sorted though guys! Thumbs up to the chief😉
Went with my teenage nephew and niece. We all loved it!!
Great vibes, good value for money, and our host was very attentive overall great expiation will recommend to others.
Most everything was extremely spicy. We’ve been going for years but it seems they recently changed their way of marinating the meats for bbq and is so spicy as with simple dishes like bbq bakes beans and sausages were also ridiculously spicy. These staple dishes is what has made Big Easy famous and keep the clientele returning to enjoy the American bbq experience and food but now it’s more Cajun style food and not bbq! They should have some kind of warning or notification of the changes on the menu as some people like us are not prone to spicy food. Also the usual frozen margaritas have also changed in taste...lots of artificIal sweetener has been added. Such a shame these changes have happened. We’re not keen to return whatsoever sadly!
Delicious food - really tender ribs.
The mussels were great too.
Slightly squished in in tables of two so difficult to get out when you needed to.
Music was loud but didn’t spoil the atmosphere for us.
Service was quick.
All in all, good place with great food.
For a table that was pre-booked, they were very unorganised. We were led to our table 10 mins late and then had to wait a further 20 mins for menus to be handed to us. Once we had ordered, we waited 40 MINS for jugs of water to be placed on the table. The servers had attitude. For an establishment on Kings Road, the service was well below par and I do not plan to return anytime soon.
Although my son had been previously to Big Easy the rest of the family hadn’t. It was such a good evening- the staff were amazing despite having to deal with a really large party - we didn’t get forgotten at all. The food was fantastic- so fresh tasting. The atmosphere was excellent - would thoroughly recommend and we will definitely be returning
We booked 12:15, It was very quiet, we ordered the steak and the limitless bbq. We also had a Prosecco and a Mojito. It took a long time to be served even longer for the food to come. When trying to get our refills he had to Consistently get the attention of the server who then took longer to have some drinks got over. We were there for two hours and not once was I asked would I like another barbecue helping me just cleared the plates. I spent £66 for three Mojito and three Prosecco. I will not be coming back again. One steak and one barbecue was not the highlight of our date
Had very nice reasonably priced meal. No patroling security guard this time which was good.
Down side guys singing the music. More interested in fiddling with their equipment. Heard about 3 songs in 1.30mins. Lazy.
Fun place for a get together and also very lucky to catch the boozy brunch deal
I have always come to big easy for food mainly the lobster l love it the best l have eaten so l have been coming there for years now but this time l waited at the front desk for a while so l had to ring the phone and tell them l have been waiting for a while apart from that everything else was fine.
The service downstairs for our group of 8 was extremely poor, we were served individual mixed fajita platters when we asked to be served as a group so we could share. The portions were very small and took a very long time to be replenished especially the paper tubs of condiments which served very few. We ordered wine at the table and had to ask more than a few times to be served. When we asked for new tubs of guacamole etc, it took 15 minutes so by the time they arrived, the fajitas and meat was cold.
The second round of fajitas was served in a pancake steamer and they were much smaller and a different type of pancake completely to the corn tortillas we were served originally. These "chinese style" pancakes were all stuck together and particularly poor quality.
The quality of the food was not as good as we have had there on previous occasions for fajita night.
I would suggest for a group if the entire table has asked for the same unlimited meal, that it comes on sharing platters as it takes up less room and is easier to replenish and more enjoyable.
The wait for drinks was incredibly slow and our margaritas and glasses of big easy brew came after the first round of fajitas 25 minutes after we had ordered.
Overall, very disappointed unfortunately - this is usually a place i look forward to going, not on this occasion.
Have been many times. Thought this visit was not definitely not as good. Staff as usual very nice and friendly.
We are unlikely to go at dinner time again. The noise level alone is horrendous and you cannot hear the person sitting opposite speak.
I also felt the lobster was not as good as previous visits.
This place has gone downhill. Service very poor and inattentive. Mussels were inedible and not fresh. My husband had the ‘unlimited shrimp’ for £20 which consisted of 6 shrimp and then couldn’t get the attention of service staff for a second serve for a long time. They eventually bought him 4 shrimp. Total rip off. It used to be great here but now it is awful.
Have been to big easy on numerous occasions, service was good . However, food wasnt up to their previous standards. Portion size was really small seems like their cutting back and didnt taste like before this was a meal that ived had numerous times.
Good food and good service. I would recommend. But note to the kitchen, I found a piece of wire in my beans. I assume it had come of the scrubbing pad.
There were flys everywhere flying above our food, so much so we had to move. When my food arrived it had a long black hair in the chips. We paid full price despite this.
iv been using the big easy for over 20 years .
it is one of the only resturants that keeps its unique character always good
food and service a great experience for young and old .
keep up the good work regards Jim Payne.
