Big Chow Grill
Great food and service was pretty good. However, I was disappointed they ran out of hand sanitizer with the spread of Coronavirus. Love the fresh food option!
Ingredients on the assembly line were of satisfactory quality. The bill for the amount we ate was very reasonable. The youngsters in our group liked the unique format and freedom to create.
Those are the pluses.
The restaurant is spartan. Table tops sticky. Service personnel eager to do the minimum and go back to chatting. Ambiance a negative. Recommended only based on pigging out and pleasing the youngsters.
Nice restaurant food was good waitress was friendly but there was an annoying knat flying around the table which is why I took off a star but overall great deal for price
Another great experience! I wish I could eat 2 bowls. I struggle to get through one, it’s sooooo good!
Food was Good 😊😊
Food came out burned. Have been to other restaurants with similar food preparation, never have I had food burned. Food was very greasy. Can not recommend this restaurant.
We had a very kind server. Didn’t catch her name. She has beautiful rich dark skin and is slim. She seated us exactly where I noted in my reservation. They didn’t have ginger ale but she and the bar staff mixed together a tasty concoction that was delicious. We sat there too long but she didn’t throw us out. She was super nice and asked us to come again. We certainly will and will make sure she is tipped well. Such a great time. Great food! My 9th visit to this location since 2014. Always hits the spot. So good!
Concept is cool. Food was great. Little on the expensive side for our family of five. Our kids didn’t eat enough to justify the price we paid for them.
I enjoyed a wonderful time with my family and our server was awesome. We’ll continue to come back for our family outragings ❤️
Service was mediocre. No urgent need to please anyone. Food was good and fresh.
The place was just to dirty. Food on the floor by the bar and on the counters. The servers acted like they don’t care. The overall place wasn’t the best. Plus it kind of messed up my birthday celebration with the food on the floor and servers not caring.
We were visiting from out of town and looking for somewhere good to eat. My boyfriend and I LOVE stir fry so we thought, why not? The instructions were explained clearly and the food was amazing. Server was attentive and bar drinks were delicious. I loved being able to pick exactly what I wanted. My boyfriend, who is a vegetarian also allergic to onions and peppers, was thrilled about the tofu, egg, and vegetables selection. What a cool idea.
My second time going but tonight was defiantely the wrong night to go (Anime weekend) the event was cool and actually was a great distraction for the kids being that it was 30 min wait (with a reservation) and 20+ min wait for food. The manager was very accommodating and our server was really nice. I love this place and would definitely recommend.... just on a night that's not so busy!
This was my first time at the restaurant. Overall, I had a good experience. I would’ve given the restaurant 5 stars if there weren’t so many gnats or fruit flies flying near the food and around us at the table.
Nice place!! Great service and food, very affordable
Excellent stir fry/Mongolian Barbeque experience, rare to find in Atlanta area. Excellent selections of vegetables, starches, meats, sauces, and seasonings, served as choice of traditional bowl, salad, soup, or wrap. One price for unlimited servings; shrimp available as upgrade.
For an afternoon lunch date this place is still the best. Went around 1:30 after the lunch rush everything was restocked on the food bar and the staff amazing. Highly recommend
Awesome idea! Build your own stir fry with so many choices
Having been to the original restaurant, the real Chow baby, I was familiar with the format. The food was delicious and when you construct your meal yourself, you can’t blame the chef if it doesn’t come out well!
The ingredients were above average in quality. The table where we were seated had a hole in the middle. The dining room appeared to be well worn and in need of an update.
The value was excellent for the quality and quantity, but this is not a romantic place. It’s far better suited for college students than middle-aged adults.
Food was excellent. Lots of great choices. Only thing missing was fresh ginger.
Delicious! Our server was very friendly and helpful.
This was the 4th time I've been to this restaurant & it is always good but what can you really expect when you make your own bowl to be cooked.
Service was ok. Ingredient selection is good and the meal overall is a good value
Great food but bar area server was a bit distracted. We had to ask for drink refills. He started being attentive. IHe was only serving 2 tables.
There are so many items to chose from on the food bar, anyone could make a dish to suit them. The food is fresh and cooked quickly. The service was great. We will be back.
Overall the value was great for the cost. However the tables could’ve been a little bit more cleaner. And the wait staff could’ve been a little bit more prompt with cleaning up in between visits to the station. A little bit more variety in the protein would also be extra bonus.
Food was awesome. Staff was wonderful. We will be back!
Rice was hard as if undercooked. Not enough choices in side or sauces.
I was charged twice when I took my son out on his birthday dinner on Valentine’s Day. It is the 20th and I still have not been refunded for my double charge. It’s just rediculous
Nice restaurant was displeased by the lack of understanding of how everything went and staff was all on their cell phones at the same time absolutely terrible and disappointed.
Great value. Been here before. Typically you have raw proteins to add to your dish. For some reason tonight all proteins were precooked, making them very tough and rubbery. Also out of ordered appetizer, but didn't tell us till we asked for it twice.
Our Book Club often meets here bcuz of the variety of the menu, good service, seating in a somewhat secluded area & not being rushed to leave.
My family and I have eaten at Big Chow four-five times. Given that it is a Mongolian Barbecue style restaurant, the food options don’t really change from one time to the next, inasmuch as it is totally up to the diner regarding which ingredients they use for their meal. The options for ingredients are quite varied so that you can concoct completely different meals every time you go through the preparation line. This is an all you can eat restaurant, and thus a great value. Food preparation and service are always quick.
It was a family dinner for my mom’s birthday. Overall the service was good. Our server was very friendly and pleasant but he was rather slow at service and the restaurant wasn’t very crowded. The food was good and they were accommodating of our large group. I would definitely dine here again.
The restaurant was not as I remembered from several years ago. Not as clean and the food wasn't as fresh. There was a bug crawling near the raw foods. The server was largely unavailable. I was disappointed.
We went on a Sunday for dinner and just to try a new place out. The place wasn’t packed at all but they ran out of rice, meat and some seasonings. Our waiter barely came to the table and when she did she’d ask how we were but continue to walk before we could even answer. Since you basically put together your own bowl you control how the flavor is. It would have been nice to have some recipe cards but they ran out of that too.
Concept is great, food was excellent but several items in our order were done or delivered incorrectly. It has a cafeteria feel to it and is noisy (which may have contributed to the errors in our order).
Food combinations are hard to get right
Place was awesome- staff was extremely helpful and pleasant. Food was awesome
My family and I LOVED The Big Chow Grill! The food was fresh and hot off the grill. The servers were helpful and friendly and the ambiance was nice. The only downside is that you HAVE to leave! 😊
