I’m allergic to poultry, so it seem that everything had chicken stock in it, except vegan

At one point we both felt burning in our throats when they were cleaning the grills in the open air kitchen but that improved

Good selection. But soup was cold.
White rice was lumpy. Not as good as Lincolnshire Big Bowl.

Was really looking forward to dining here for a friend’s birthday but the hostess Claudia was so rude. The manager handled the situation very poorly. We decided to dine elsewhere and will not be returning.

Our waiter was knowledgeable and patient about explaining the menu. The appetizers and entrees were delicious, and reasonably priced. I look forward to my next visit.

Excellent service. We ordered off the menu. Perhaps for a more authentic experience we should have done the make your own stir fry. Not the best Thai food I’ve ever had. Too much ginger in the sweet and sour sauce.

Big Bowl consistently provides very good food in a nice atmosphere. Service is reliable, though Kristopher was especially friendly and attentive, and made the usually pleasant experience even better than usual!

Sure the food is amazing at any Lettuce Entertain You restaurant, but the SERVICE here is just outstanding. We had increased our reservation unexpectedly from 6 to 8 on a VERY busy holiday weekend of the year and the staff at Big Bowl truly went above and beyond to accommodate us. Thank you for the amazing food and top notch service!

Big Bowl is part of a chain, but it's always been one of my favorites. Great Asian food of every type and easily customizable to your tastes. Good service, well situated. A great dining experience in River North.

My friend and I were underwhelmed by the food at this location. We both selected the Stir-Fry option with chicken. The dishes were overcooked, over-sauced, and over-seasoned. The Pad Thai was OK.

Service was good. The upper landing seating area is pretty tight.

Overall, we were disappointed. A return visit is unlikely.

The problem was the temperature of the food. Our order of dumplings was cold. The waiter did his best to make it right. The new order of dumplings came to us lukewarm-just barely warm enough to eat. Our order of sesame chicken along with the vegetable fried rice was also lukewarm-just barely warm enough to eat. Had the food been hot, fresh from the kitchen, I would have given 4 stars.

Food was awesome! Very good flavors. I don't think they should up charge for fried rice. Food sat on counter for ten minutes. I almost got it myself. No one in restaurant so I was surprised by service. Usually very good. I frequent this restaurant.

The food was amazing! We made a reservation and were seated right when we arrived. The service was a tad slow but our server had a lot of tables. We went to celebrate after completing the Chicago marathon and for our anniversary. I got the vegetarian fried rice, husband got the kung pow chicken, and dad got the pad Thai. Everything was delicious! The chocolate cake with carmel ice cream was incredible too. Glad we decided on dessert even though we were stuffed!

Went with a group with multiple people unable to eat gluten - the food was still fantastic! Generous servings through the family style option (and after we chatted with the manager they threw in some extra plates free!) at a reasonable price: ~$26/person before tip. The drinks were a bit on the expensive side, but ordering pitchers of Sangria with the whole group was fine.

We have always enjoyed Big Bowl's combination of good Thai and Chinese foods. The Panang chicken curry and the shrimp pad thai were very good and the pork fried rice is always a favorite. The special beer was excellent and our server was knowledgeable and very accommodating and helpful.

Came here for lunch. It was crazy packed! But I managed to find a seat at the bar. Kris was my bartender he gave EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE!! I told him I recently stopped eating meat and he suggested the perfect dish. I had Kung Pao Shrimp with extra veggies. It was delicious! I'll definitely be back back soon

Above average Asian food. LOts of choices. Love the stir fry where you choose your meat and sauce then you go to the veggie bar and pick out all you veggies for the stir fry. The pot stickers were great. Fried rice was pretty good but a little Chinese sausage would have made it great - lap chong. Service was excellent and friendly and bottles of wine were half price on Monday. Will definitely return. Price was very reasonable.

Big Bowl has been here for years and always good, but last night was surprising. Fresh, good value, rich flavors and better than we remembered - which is saying something since we lived in Hawaii and had lots of Asian cuisine choices. Don't discount Big Bowl as another "chain" restaurant with sort of an Asian theme.

I get the same thing every time and this time it was not as flavorful (green thai with tofu). I also usually get it served with the rice on the side but this time it came together so was less "soupy" and more dry as the rice soaked up the thai sauce.
Seemed busy even all tables weren't filled as we didn't see our server much throughout the meal. Still would go back though
