Big Bowl-Lincolnshire Ratings and Reviews
On Friday night the restaurant was very crowded. We made reservation at 7:15Pm. Front desk staff did not seat us until 7:45 PM. This was after asking many times when will we be seated ? Food was good but the waiter was very busy to be reached and ask for what we need.
Nice ambiance and good service, but portions tend to be on the small side and leave you hungry and wanting more. For example the beef and broccoli is delicious but there's not a lot of actual beef and broccoli and you're left with a sort of mushroom slush on the plate.
Food was delicious. Great specialty cocktails. New Year’s Eve , so maybe something special would have been nice ie. special cocktail, or hordurve, or dessert, just something different to acknowledge the holiday. Service on point. A little noisy, as we were seated between to boisterous parties. Other then that👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
Walked into a cozy warm room on a very cold night and was seated immediately. New Years Eve can be a difficult night for service and quality but everything was spot on. Good food, good service made for a nice evening and allowed us to get to our next destination on time. Great job!
Food and service were excellent! The steak was tender and flavored nicely. The stir fry, where you select your own vegetables, was fun and turned out tasting fantastic! The flourless chocolate cake was delicious, not too heavy, served with a small scoop of chocolate ice cream and great to share with your partner. Looking forward to coming back soon!
A marvelous dining experience. My Daughter and I went prior to seeing Newsies at the Marriott. Service was good and food absolutely delicious. I had the sea scallops made special as I picked out preciously the veggies I wanted. The plate was loaded with the scrumptous and quite large scallops. A bargain for the price.
It was very busy & there were customers waiting to be seated. We had reservations and were taken to our table immediately upon arrival . So glad we made reservations. Food is great. Only thing is that they have many more tables vs booths so it gets a bit cozy if you are seated at a table. Be careful not to elbow your neighbor if you are getting up!
In typical “Lettuce” fashion, Big Bowl is predictable but tasty Asian fare. They do have a few clever twists — cauliflower “rice,” vegetarian sauces that typically have a meat base. Our server was attentive and made great recommendations. While you perhaps could seek out authentic Thai or Chinese fairly close by, Big Bowl does not disappoint and has quite a vibrant environment. It is a bit on the expensive side for what you get.
Parking has and still is a menace. They have valet for both restaurants ( big bowl & wildfire) but we needed to catch a movie & were afraid the wait to get your car back might be too long since there was a long line for valet .
Food was delicious and plentiful and once we ordered (a slight delay for service) the food came very quickly.
One thing to note however: if there is a section on OPEN TABLE for a special occasion , why didn’t the restaurant know that? We were there prior to a movie , but we were still celebrating a birthday. Not one mention of it from the restaurant ( it was checked & a special request note as well ). Since we were going to a movie, didn’t want to take the time anymore for us to mention it. This has happened before on an open table reservation. Why bother asking if it’s not acknowledged?
