I will always recommend Big Bowl. Every time I go there the service is excellent all the waiters and waitresses are awesome. The food is delicious OMG. 😋😋
Came early and restaurant was pretty empty. Decided to order 4 appetizers for 2 people. Appetizers were terrible. Lettuce wraps were so over salted that they were almost inedible. Pot Stickers we’re over cooked, scrawny and barely had any noticeable stuffing. Chicken Satay was blah-only good thing on the plate was the peanut dipping sauce. The Ahi Tuna Roll had trace amounts of tuna. You’d need a microscope to find the tuna. We were served the appetizers with no spoons or way to serve. Took ages to get anyone’s attention. We only saw our original waiter one other time that night. Water glasses weren’t even refilled. This was absolutely unacceptable and terrible. What happened to the high quality food and service at this location? I will definitely select another neighborhood place over this Big Bowl in the future! :-(
Not very pleased with wine selection. Food was a large amount which is not always a positive thing but it was just alright. Not a place we will rush back to visit!! The sauce I had, garlic szechan was bland but I have ordered the spicy sauces and couldn't even finish my dish in the past bc it was overly spicy.
I was very impressed with the Pad Thai ! Best in the burbs!
Love this place, food and everything!
The menu offers many interesting dishes. Staff is very efficient and helpful.
Food was amazing!!! Alot of choices and good service
Quick and friendly service. Family all enjoyed dinner
Too salty chicken lettuce wrap.
Chef forgot to put peanuts in Kung Pao Chicken.
We went on a Tuesday at 6:15PM, the restaurant was not as “slammed” as the server said it was and told us the kitchen may not be able to accommodate dietary restrictions or special requests because how busy the restaurant was. However half the main dining room was vacant. They advertise in the menu “crispy” tofu but it was mushy and bland, I saw other diners also pushing their tofu to the side. My meal was HOT, like steaming hot but the food wasn’t cooked fully. My cauliflower rice was raw. We ordered our meals the same time as our appetizers which was almost
Immediately after being seated and it took almost 2 hours for our entire meal. The waiter was non existent, we had to ask reception for our bill and an extra plate as there was no service. If would have given less stars but my fiancé enjoyed his food as did his parents however mine was horrible and service was terrible. Such a shame as this wasn’t our first time there but it might be our last. You except more from Lettuce Entertain you restaurants but I would have rather gone to Panda Express.. at least their service is prompt.
The food is good, not great. We have one vegan and one vegetarian in our family so it is good they have tofu as an option but their Tofu always comes out soggy, it would be goos if they put more care into its preparation and other dishes that could easily be vegetarian such as garlic tofu or pad Thai with tofu include s fish sauce that they apparently can’t leave out so the vegetarian/vegan options are very limited
The food is delicious, and the service was great. Can get a bit loud if you're seated near the self-serve line
Food good but always crowded and service includes several people so hard to know who to ask when an issue. One dinner was not at all hot.
The place has a nice dimly lit vibe which was great for date night. We had a reservation and were seated promptly. Our server was attentive and very nice. Refills took maybe a little longer than I like but I am really nit-picking here. I ordered Mongolian Beef and my wife had the Ahi Tuna Poke bowl. Both were outstanding and we were shocked when the Poke bowl came to the table on an enormous plate. Normally a Poke bowl is a smaller entree but this one was very generous and tasty. We started out with a bowl of Edamame which was fine if maybe a bit undersalted. Total check with soft drinks and no dessert (there was no room after those huge entrees) was around $50. That's about what I would expect.
Wear comfortable shoes or be willing to pay for valet; parking here is vast but with the business that Big Bowl and adjacent Wildfire are doing, parking close is not likely.
It had been awhile since we dined at Big Bowl. We didn't recall them having so many Thai offerings when we were there in the past? Maybe we will try those out next time. It will not be so long before our next visit. Enjoy!
Great option for moderately priced pan Asian meals. Hard to miss with their do it yourself stir fry. Innovative apps and entrees. To notch beer and wine selections
Sisters 60 th bday
It was my first time so by the area where the restaurant is located, I expected a nicer look. But the tasty food made the magic. I have no complaints about the service. I just would recommend a table cover and nicer quality napkins.
We had excellent service and the food was very good
Dining area was quite dark though the service was pleasant, attentive and efficient. The Orange Chicken was delicious and a very generous portion. Unfortunately, the Pho was overly salty; I did let the waitress know just as an FYI.
Green beans were good but the entrees were bland even though they were listed as spicy. Service was good.
Consistently excellent food. We were celebrating two birthdays and the restaurant gave us two free deserts to celebrate. Friendly staff. Only downside is parking is difficult. There is valet service but we always just walk the distance,
Delicious food and great service. One of my favorite restaurants.
It was great! Food and service was great!
Very nice healthy place to go especially pick your own. Even on Father's Day, food and service could not be beat.
Our server was the best. I would have to say the food was fairly bland. My friend who had the garlic sauce on her stir fry said she could hardly taste the garlic. Imagine that. My spicy sauce on my stir fry was not very flavorful or spicy. I believe it was a Kung Pao sauce. I was disappointed. Maybe the fact that I went to Yu's Mandarin restaurant in Vernon Hills the day before set me up for the Big Bowl experience. Yu's had a noodle plate that was both flavorful and spicy. It was amazing. I have a wok and I love to make my own stir fry so I had high expectations for Big Bowl.
Great table, delicious food and drinks, awesome service, great prices - overall a really super dining out experience.
Our server Maria was the best and our food was so delicious! Definitely make a reservation because the a busy on the weekend! But definitely worth the wait!
I do enjoy Big Bowl. However, I was very disappointed to have to wait about 20 minutes beyond my reservation time to be seated, although I had made a reservation 2 weeks earlier! It felt like they were letting others in ahead of my party, and/or had seated walk-ins too close to the time of our reservation.
It would be good PR to hand out pot stickers or other snacks to those in the waiting area!
Good food, great service. Dinner was enjoyed by all. The vegetarian options were greatly appreciated.
Excellent service as usual!! Mike is fantastic!
Food was great, server was very nice but seemed to have a few too many tables to handle, making service a little slow.
Very pleased with everything this time. Mentioned it was our anniversary but nothing was done about it.
Great food as always
Greeted by a friendly host, had an attentive waitress, great drinks (even though they were over iced), and delicious food. The noise level made it a little hard for conversation but it was a Friday night. Overall, a great experience.
Great from start to finish. Accommodating with our infant. Fast, polite service.
This is a fun place for family dining. Our waiter was friendly and fantastic. Thanks, Mike!
Our server was outstanding. My friend and I had not seen each other in a while and were happy to be allowed a leisurely meal. She was attentive but did not make us feel rushed. The food was scrumptious
Some of the food wasn’t too warm.
Delicious food with excellent service. I will be back!
