Everything was excellent. Not a criticism to be made. And the artichoke stuffed raviolis were "write home about". Marcus the waiter was properly attentive, delightful and professional.
We took our 90 year old Greek neighbor for her birthday lunch. My husband ordered the pappardelle and it said it was good but not great. I ordered the prawn ravioli and felt the order was good but it was more like an appetizer, not a main course. Our neighbor ordered the calf's liver and seemed happy. The bread order for $2.00 was really nice. We will return but think portions should be appropriate to the price point. Thank you.
The Best!!!! Lasagna ever!! Service and quality of food excellent.
Dinner was outstanding and the waitstaff were very attentive. This is only our 2nd time there, both for our Anniversary. Really need to go more often as the food is amazing!
Biba's never disappoints. The specials of the day, minestrone and shrimp ravioli, were especially notable, as was the off-menu pasta with morels made for our vegetarian guest. The consistently excellent service by Marcus was appreciated by all.
Highly recommend Biba. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Sacramento.
We started off with John in the bar and he is an outstanding bartender! Happy Hour selections were excellent.
Our waiter Marcus, was nice enough but seemed to be going through the motions.
Another highlight was Biba showed up with her husband. She is a jewel and in a league of her own truly! Her husband is precious as well.
Warm and inviting and tremendous time! Thank you so much for everything and Rich for your exceptional piano talent! Perfect evening. Thank you a lot ❤️
Biba never disappoints! Consistent quality of food and service.
Wonderful food and service
Such a elegant place such great staff I had flowers delivered and a special request for my fiance's birthday dessert and they went above and beyond the food...oh my goodness it was delicious worth every penny for the experience we had it was great!
The food was once again delicious and our waitress was wonderful!
Have not dined at Biba in several years, but it didn't disappoint. The space is still lovely, the food delicious/seasonal and service outstanding. It's close to downtown hotels and worth the short ride to midtown. Highly recommend.
I haven't been to BIBA in awhile, and while not bad, I was a bit disappointed. The dishes are rather expensive and just OK. The pork chop was somewhat tough, the Osso Bucco good, and the ravioli just OK. The octopus was tough, the biggest disappointment. The shared chocolate dessert was very good. While I am willing to give it another try, my husband (his first visit) may not bbe as willing!
Another excellent experience at Biba's. The service was good, the food excellent. Would recommend Biba's for casual or fine dining.
One will not regret having eaten at this resteraunt. We had the most exquisite lunchtime meal. The ambiance was wonderful, not to loud and people were actually talking to each other and not on their phones! Beautiful resteraunt, wonderful food, and it was so nice to meet Biba at the door as she greated us.
Biba is such a sweet lady! I enjoyed everything about my visit ! I will definitely be back for dinner next time!
Always dependable and great!
It was delicious as always. My friend had not eaten a Biba's before and was very pleased.
Always a pleasure! Truly delicious meal, to look at and taste
My wife and I ordered two Italian dishes which word good but I wouldn't say fantastic compared to other Italian meals we've had. We had the burrata appetizer which was also good but again not the best I've ever had. So considering the price I was a little underwhelmed this time by Biba. It also was a little irksome because it was our 35th wedding anniversary and I would have thought at least a scoop of gelato compliments of the house would have been very nice. We did drop $150 on dinner, an appetizer plus two salads. Bottom line I think there are much better options for the same or less cost in Sacramento.
Our server was outstanding!! Great food!
This was a pre-concert dinner for a performance at the Sofia theater. Without getting into too much detail our server was rude from the minute we sat down but fortunately we asked for a new server and he was great. Food was very good on par with other fine dining restaurants in town. But the initial rude server sort of put a damper on my evening and with so many other good restaurants to choose from I don’t plan to return.
We have been to Biba's numerous times and it never disappoints us. The authentic Italian food is rich but not overpowering. We especially like the pastas and anything sauced. Thursdays and Fridays offer the best lasagna ever, anywhere! Another specialty is liver. If you like it, this is where to eat it. One of us also had the lamb stew over polenta, that had a generous serving of lamb and a flavorful San Marzano tomato sauce on it. The chocolate mousse and zocota desserts were perfect to share and conclude the meal. Service was friendly, polite, and always there when needed without hovering.
The food was good, but the restaurant badly needs updating. Has an almost cafeteria feel with table clothes and the bar doesn’t know what it wants to be. Pretty good wine selection, but I would hope so given its location to Sonoma and Napa.
Celebrated husband's birthday. Outstanding meal, outstanding service. We had a great time..
Nice romaine salad, great halibut, & pork cutlets, followed w/ strawberry tart
Biba's never fails to impress. The lasagna is the best and the zucotto is to die for. All the ingredients are tasty fresh. I love, love, love this restaurant.
We dined at Biba on a Friday evening before a performance at the Sophia/B Street. The food was very good, but we could not get separate checks for the two couples, it was noisy, and we were not impressed with the attention our table received. Also, Happy Hour was underway and we'd hoped to get discounted drinks through our waiter. No such luck. I had to wait at the bar, that only had one bartender for the entire bar area and dining room, to get a drink at the Happy Hour price. It was a long wait and after I was served I had to wait at least another five minutes for the bill so that I could rejoin my table in the dining room. No Bueno.
Had a fantastic dinner, great food and service!
Birthday for a special friend.
Serving size too small for price ! Well cook and tasted great.
Wonderful food & and employees were very friendly!
Gigi and the raviolis ROCK!!!!!!
Go on a Thursday or Friday and get the lasagna, which is only served on those days, as it is amazing. Otherwise, decent food. Interior decor is in bad need of updating. Service was very attentive and accomodating.
Disappointed in the lasagna for the first time in the lasagna. Not much flavor and dry. Waitress did not offer parmesan cheese at the table for any pastas.
We were very disappointed in the portion size of our meals. My husband got about six raviolis and if you wanted salad and/or bread, you have to pay extra. I had the gnocchi. The sauces on both meals were good, but hardly any meat. We also had the calamari appetizer. Just ok. For a $80 dinner, we didn't feel we got our money's worth at all. We were hungry an hour later. We don't plan on going back.
Food was fine; formal and quiet, good for conversation. But greatly overpriced for the quality.
Having enjoyed Trips to Italy, Biba is very authentic!
Best feature was upscale setting and place settings But my wine glass was dirty thus requested another one. Service is as expected for the expensive lunch due to upscale format of restaurant but value is marginal...Go there for a special occasion unless you are on expense account or you want to impress someone.
Excellent meal with impeccable service by Jorge ("Jorgie") as usual. The only thing we recommend the chef consider is toning down the acidity/sourness in the cream of celery root soup. It tasted like it had too much lemon juice in it. Nevertheless, it was very good but somewhat tough to finish and since it was the only food item we both had we believe it contributed each of us being becoming majorly bloated just after we finished dinner. Maybe it was the level of acid in the soup?
Biba's has been reliably consistent over the years. Wonderfully executed regional Italian dishes often using fresh local ingredients. Never disappoints.
