Biba's never fails to meet my expectation. The house made pasta is a winner. Excellent bar and amazing staff. Be prepared to pay for it.
As always, wonderful food! The menu does seem smaller than on previous visits, but it still has one of everything. The zuccatto dessert is to die for. I refused to share it with my husband. Our waitress was very helpful with wine selection, but she seemed a bit harried. It was an almost full house (on a Thursday) and she may have had more tables than she was comfortable with.
Biba has been a local gem for years.... both the restaurant and the owner.
Food and Service is always impeccable. Tables are not too close which helps noise level and allows conversation. Wait staff attentive but not intrusive.
Nice menu with an array of wonderful Italian dishes. Service was efficient and unobtrusive. We will definitely visit again.
Fabulous food and great service. Beet salad, calamari, gnocchi and breaded veal cutlets. All perfect. The Rombauer Chardonnay wasn’t too bad either. Biba stopped by to say hello at our table. A very popular place. Will go again soon!
This is my favorite restaurant in the Sacramento region, and a go-to for every special occasion. The service is impeccable, the food seasonal and delicious.
Our first time and won't be our last. Very good food and great service. A little loud, but that was the dinner party next to us and as a whole it wasn't noisy. Good cocktails according to my wife and daughter ( I was the designated driver). We are food snobs and this place is on our "return" list!
Biba was great as always. It was very crowded on Friday night but we were served in an acceptable time and the entrees were terrific. This is definitely my favorite Sacramento restaurant!
Food was good and the service was good , my CC was charged the wrong amount ( table next to me bill ) but they took care of it . Overall it was a good experience and I will eat there again.
Food was not of proper temperature, but was tasty. Waiter was busy and absent throughout the course of night.
Food is consistently very good. The pasta special was particularly delicious, salad was really fresh, and service top-notch!
Never disappointed- always a delicious and special meal. Can't wait to return.
My meal was prix fix and was perfect . Could have eaten more salad but the gnocchi was amazing !!! My server was pleasant and helpful.
The food was really good but it’s a bit of a stingy atmosphere given how poor the ambience is. The restaurant inside and outside is devoid of any taste- it looks like your grandparents living room, and it’s filled with grandparents. Ancient, ugly loud white people pack the restaurant and it can be a bit of an eyesore. The waitress had had a hoity toity attitude and wouldn’t stop giving me tips on how my plate was too close to me, etc., and actually had the audacity to call me out for eating my plate of four ravioli too fast. Honey I ate those ravioli so fast because they were already cold by the time they reached me. The hideous, tasteless decor and snotty waitress were made up by the fact that the porkchop I had was absolutely phenomenal. However, I suggest that this restaurant stops pretending to be something it’s not.
Wonderful, light sauces on the gnocchi and paparelle. Delicious lamb. Light and delicious tiramisu. Wait staff was excellent with suggestions. Biba was there and wished our friend a happy birthday. The dining room is classic and serene.
The food was excellent and our waitress was great. It was a wonderful place to have a special dinner with my special guy. The decor is a bit dated and could use an update - I think a renovation could really make the place on par with the food and service.
Three of us celebrated our friend's 80th birthday. Two of us knew we'd order Biba's Spinach Lasagna ... still the best. Our third party had the special and commented on how good the cauliflower soup and halibut cakes were delicious. Had a very nice, leisure lunch, with quiet time to talk about our 40-year+ friendship.
It as a birthday, as noted on reservation, kind of thought they'd do something special, even writing Happy Birthday on the dessert plate; as long as our food and service were top-notch, and after 80-years, our birtday gal was delighted with her lunch.
It's Biba. It's expensive but you will love it.
Very special Fine Italian dining. Expect $200 with wine and tip for two.
Awesome, as always!! The food and service were superb!! Always a favorite, no matter the occasion!!
Delicious halibut for lunch. Fresh, flavorful and perfectly cooked.
Long time favorite and food is always beyond words.
Love Love Love Biba. Great food! My husband and I went for our 26th Wedding Anniversary.
I always enjoy Biba. Went with a staff member celebrating a work anniversary. Service was impeccable and lunch delicious and well priced.
Everything was excellent. Not a criticism to be made. And the artichoke stuffed raviolis were "write home about". Marcus the waiter was properly attentive, delightful and professional.
We took our 90 year old Greek neighbor for her birthday lunch. My husband ordered the pappardelle and it said it was good but not great. I ordered the prawn ravioli and felt the order was good but it was more like an appetizer, not a main course. Our neighbor ordered the calf's liver and seemed happy. The bread order for $2.00 was really nice. We will return but think portions should be appropriate to the price point. Thank you.
The Best!!!! Lasagna ever!! Service and quality of food excellent.
Dinner was outstanding and the waitstaff were very attentive. This is only our 2nd time there, both for our Anniversary. Really need to go more often as the food is amazing!
Biba's never disappoints. The specials of the day, minestrone and shrimp ravioli, were especially notable, as was the off-menu pasta with morels made for our vegetarian guest. The consistently excellent service by Marcus was appreciated by all.
Highly recommend Biba. This is one of my favorite restaurants in Sacramento.
We started off with John in the bar and he is an outstanding bartender! Happy Hour selections were excellent.
Our waiter Marcus, was nice enough but seemed to be going through the motions.
Another highlight was Biba showed up with her husband. She is a jewel and in a league of her own truly! Her husband is precious as well.
Warm and inviting and tremendous time! Thank you so much for everything and Rich for your exceptional piano talent! Perfect evening. Thank you a lot ❤️
Biba never disappoints! Consistent quality of food and service.
Wonderful food and service
Such a elegant place such great staff I had flowers delivered and a special request for my fiance's birthday dessert and they went above and beyond the food...oh my goodness it was delicious worth every penny for the experience we had it was great!
The food was once again delicious and our waitress was wonderful!
Have not dined at Biba in several years, but it didn't disappoint. The space is still lovely, the food delicious/seasonal and service outstanding. It's close to downtown hotels and worth the short ride to midtown. Highly recommend.
I haven't been to BIBA in awhile, and while not bad, I was a bit disappointed. The dishes are rather expensive and just OK. The pork chop was somewhat tough, the Osso Bucco good, and the ravioli just OK. The octopus was tough, the biggest disappointment. The shared chocolate dessert was very good. While I am willing to give it another try, my husband (his first visit) may not bbe as willing!
Another excellent experience at Biba's. The service was good, the food excellent. Would recommend Biba's for casual or fine dining.
One will not regret having eaten at this resteraunt. We had the most exquisite lunchtime meal. The ambiance was wonderful, not to loud and people were actually talking to each other and not on their phones! Beautiful resteraunt, wonderful food, and it was so nice to meet Biba at the door as she greated us.
Biba is such a sweet lady! I enjoyed everything about my visit ! I will definitely be back for dinner next time!
Always dependable and great!
