We loved the menu. We loved the fresh pasta and daily specials. We will be back when in the area again.
Other than finding a place to park, the experience was better than expected and I'm a demanding foodie.
I've eaten in premier establishments in the USA and around the world and this was special.
I will be back
We were a party of four and had another wonderful meal at Bibas. All three courses were excellent and we were especially surprised by the bread soup--it was terrific! Our waitress, Janine, was friendly and outstanding as she has been in the past. We miss seeing Biba in the restaurant but we hope drive and determination for quality and success continues with those in charge.
Very old school, classic Italian. Very good food and service but needs a little more modern feel.
Always the best in town. Fresh menu with gold standards and an incredible wine list or cocktail menu❣️
Biba’s never disappoints! Try the Tuscan tomato bread soup!
The food was phenomenal! The service was top notch. I will definitely be back!
This was not a very good experience. Paid top dollar and the food was so, so. The service was fine but the cost of the food and the quality was horrible. Crossing Biba off my list.
Our service could not have been better, very attentive and helpful. Made the dining experience even better
Wonderful time in the bar area because we were with good friends and heard wonderful piano by Rich Odey and received great service with our drinks and food. We have always loved Bibas, and consider it a great place for celebration dinners.
Outstanding service (Jeannine) and wonderful food.
I enjoyed this place, the happyhour area with relaxing music and the food was excellent.
Great food but service was not friendly and server had enough of a forced smile to tiptoe the line of being rude.
The atmosphere was great , food was delicious, the pianist was very good I will definitely be back
Nothing in Sacramento compares to Biba! The veal is delicious and the stuffed pastas are superb. And then there’s the lasagna!! Luscious.
Restaurant was very loud (server couldn’t hear us), poorly lit (very very bright), server was pushy and obnoxious during our romantic date, server didn’t know what cheeses were on the cheese platter she recommended, server didn’t know what was in the entrees, there was a mess of beer boxes thrown about the wine room, food was bland, cocktails were uninteresting, server forgot our dessert, nice white tablecloths but no one comes to scrape the crumbs between courses. This restaurant has all the components of a fancy high-end dining experience, but they all come together poorly and without class or polish, as if someone made a fine dining restaurant based on a list of bullet points describing one, but had never experienced fine dining before.
Great location, close to theatre. Food is excellent as well as service. Good for special occasions.
We had great service and great food.
Such fabulous food...and great service, too--AND, not too noisy to speak with friends!
Son going back to college
Had been way too long and glad to have been able to enjoy a perfectly amazing lunch with a dear friend. Never in the decades I have dined there, has there been a single glitch in the quality of the food and service. Thank you Biba, we all miss your welcoming smile, and appreciate everything you accomplished. Your staff continues your legacy by providing diners with excellence..
Biba has always been a favorite of ours for special occasions.
My wife and I had a lovely birthday dinner. Food was excellent and authentic Italian.
Gigi was gracious and attentive. The lasagna was over-cooked and ‘mushy’ - also very little sauce, meat, and cheese. The tomato/onion soup and salads here superb. I personally rate an Italian restaurant by there lasagna. For this visit I was very disappointed. That said, Gigi helped to make the experience endearing. Wonderful ambiance and loved hearing the gentleman’s hands on the keyboard as we departed. Very prompt valet service. Best - ray and Janice
Biba's is a Sacramento culinary jewel. It is uniquely elegant and comfortable. Gourmet food and genuinely friendly service in a gorgeous setting is a gift to our city. Perfecto!
Perfect evening for catching up with dear friends.
Good food. Excellent service. Very nice setting. Good bar. Prices are low for a white tablecloth restaurant.
Only minor issue was the wine list is somewhat limited other than California & Italy.
My date thought it was expensive. It wasn’t.
A Sacramento staple, delicious food, but mediocre everything else. The ambiance was classic in a bit of a stale way. The tables were too close together- you could clearly hear the conversations of the tables around you. Went for lunch and the staff were very friendly but not very polished in their dress or service. For a $20-30 per plate lunch service I expect more. Wine is marked up a lot for the area as well. Had an okay experience but won't be back
While we love Biba we were very disappointed this time - we made the reservation as we were returning to the Bay Area from Tahoe and found the restaurant closed.
There was another disappointed person at the front door in the same situation.
Clearly bad coordination between Biba and Open Table.
We miss Biba terribly but we could feel her presence everywhere. The food quality, presentation, and service remain at her always high standards. We will continue to visit her restaurant as long as her staff continue to uphold her legacy as wonderfully as they did last night. They really did her proud.
Thanks one more time Biba, and thanks once more to her terrific staff for another delightful dinner.
I went to pay my bill that was 57.84 and I was charged on my credit card 142.56. When I asked the waiter why he said that it was to cover my tip and when it processed it would process correctly. It didnt process correctly and they charged my card wrong and I had to go to my bank to fix it. It would've been a perfect night if this was handled correctly.
We arrived 10 minutes early for a 7 pm reservation but had a 30 minute wait to be seated - was very busy. Our server was amazing though so we had an amazing dinner and wonderful time. Love this place! ❤️
Food was excellent. Very lively crowd for the last Friday before Christmas.
Great food and atmosphere is excellent.
Can’t go every week but will be back next
Was a nice experience, altho a little chilly if anywhere near the door. Food was very good, altho portion size was a little small for the price. Service was excellent and everything looked beautiful. Overall a great experience.
I understand that it is the holidays and Biba's is busy but that was no excuse for the poor service we received. Our dinner took almost 3 hours - there is simply no excuse for that at any time,. Secondly, the main dining room when full, is incredibly noisy. There are many upscale restaurants in Sacramento now that have dealt with that problem. We will probably go to one of them next time.
My wife and I rarely eat out since we cook excellent meals at home and it makes little sense to pay for a meal that we do a better job of preparing ourselves. The meals we had at Biba however, were very well prepared and when paired with a wine from their excellent wine list were just delicious. The ambiance and wait staff topped off the memorable evening and I highly recommend Biba to anyone looking for special evening out with a special person.
